    I like your tutorials. You have tutorials that I’ve been searching for for a while. You’re very creative, but I think you forget that a lot of viewers are new at wire wrapping. You tend to not give specific details like how many inches or millimeters to use. You generally say a little bit of this or do this or do it like this, etc. Just a suggestion, but I’d like it if you try to give more details in your tutorials.

    Hey! Omg! You reply to comments! Yay! I have a question and I'd appreciate it so much if you could answer. Does the beadalon tarnish resistant wire leave your skin green? Also the silver beadalon tarnish resistant, is it actually tarnish resistant/doesnt turn colour. And do the wires actually retain their colour? Sorry for the questions but I hope you can help ❤❤

    • @HeatherBoydWire
      @HeatherBoydWire  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi Tania: The copper tarnish resistant wire keeps it's colour, but if you have very acidic skin and are wearing a ring for extended periods of time it might be a problem. I don't wear rings and wouldn't advice wearing them while swimming or in the shower! You'd have to test it to to be sure.

    I just discovered you, earlier today. This is random, but you may want to consider, raw b-complex, and especially b-12. I have those same ridges on my nails, but not as bad as earlier this year. This past December and January, I began experience sever neurological issues, due to b-12 deficiency, and one thing they noticed was my nails. My blood levels were normal, but I needed more. I was a fruit cake, hypersensitive, both emotionally and physically, sensitivities to lights, sounds, clothing on my skin, smells, tastes, etc. My doctor did not give me a shot, because my levels were in normal range. I began mega doses immediately. I found raw b-complex to work better. Your’s could just be normal and not related to b vitamins. You are fair, just like me, though. I just wanted to mention it, cause, I was miserable. It felt like thousands of insects biting me, and my mood was all whacked out. Just cause I need b vitamins. Wowzers! Take care. I love your work. I have been wanting to do wire jewelry for months now. I purchased the materials, but have yet to start. I want to do hammered pieces, too. Blessings 🕊💕🕯😇🙏🏻💚

    Can a pin be made with wire?

    • @HeatherBoydWire
      @HeatherBoydWire  Před rokem

      You can make your own pin with wire if it is thin and strong enough. Copper wires are a bit soft for a pin, but I have used 20g half hard Argentium silver and sharpened the end with a file (cut the wire on an angle first). Other wise for the pins I sell I add a pin back like this: www.etsy.com/ca/HeatherBoydWireDIY/listing/849842149/stainless-steel-pin-backs-for-jewelry they are more discreet than regular bar pins.

    What is the thickness of the wire you use?

      You can use 20 g wire for regular size pendants and 18g if you want them larger.

      Hi Sandra: I buy most of my beads locally but you can probably find them on Amazon and Etsy or at Michaels. I used 6mm Czech glass beads. Some are round and some are facetted. I also used artificial pearls. Here is an example on Etsy www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1054959974/crb583-assorted-mixed-color-finish-6mm
