Actually the man said he would get "her" stuff. But can't assume he was living there. True. Cohabitation is common and people do not know its wrong. You are right. Pray for them. God still will heal all. Salvation is not a condition for healing. The Bible says it is the goodness of God that leads to repentance.
They sound like a beautiful couple. I was going to ask them if they were going to get married now. Mostly because they genuinely care for each other. Anyone 10 cats can trust like that are good people.
Its not how good we are or how bad we are, it's that we need a Saviour. God spared their lives and I pray He brings full restoration. I agree with you that includes reconciliation with Christ Jesus.

Wow, the worst part must have been that horrible four hours! So sorry for the loss of your home and so glad you got your pets out.

Alison after watching your interview it touched my heart . You are a brave woman to have gone though this. I live on Vancouver island the only thing we have here is some smoke from the fires in the south . Because of you and your story . I will try to be more open and help people with more kindness .Wishing you happiness in the future ..

You both, you are so brave. As hard as it is you will be ok, you have each other. You are alive and so are your beloved pets thanks to Don, what could be more important than that. I lost everything once to a home burglary and became homeless. I let go of it all and started fresh; I had help too. Life has a way of giving you what you need, not what you want. You'll end up being a better person for it. I learned compassion, simplicity, forgiveness and a love of life without possessions. I have more now but am not attached to anything. The power didnt go out, they intentionally shut down the power, to quote, " avoid another paradise california". According to one of the Detroit firefighters i talked to in detroit, when the last survivors were regrouping at Mongold. My wife, 2 kids, pets and I had to flee our cabin there. It was apocalyptic.
Bless you all for what you have done. You are amazing. You are what humanity is all about. I love you with the highest Devine love, respect and admiration possible. I lost everything in Southern Oregon.

We lost everything in Mill City. Scariest night of our lives. Driving out thru fire will be a nightmare forever.

Read a long time ago during the mass text alert warning system activation some service providers after receiving notification to transmit to all phones have problems with failed transmits. Highly evident here. Glad they made it out alive. Remember fires travel as fast as the wind. Winds aloft are much faster than ground level winds.
With so many fires and areas needing evacuation I wonder if systems got overloaded? I was in an evac one area but level two was just a couple miles away and three not far from that . I signed up for alerts and kept my eye on the sky and monitored news stations in case that situation changed drastically. With power going out people wouldn't have been able to do that. Also, there are areas where there is no cell phone service. I know that wasn't the case here in this instance.
@@tthappyrock368 Yah tough times. There's also the possibility of cell tower power loss or fire damage interfering with emergency warning being transmitted. Towers being on high spots where fires go to doesn't help. Kind of like with forecasted increases of winds with the fires already present it would of help immensely to get the warning out during the day to get people moving out of danger locations with the way it was so dry of a fire hazard. Hopefully it wasn't a case of the persons that could spot the impending doom were off for the weekend before thee fire blew all over the place on Monday September 7. Hindsight really is a pain.
This is good information to know. Makes one realize the need for an emergency radio.
@@sharonhunter337 For radios I figure all the state emergency services should have a way to connect to the weather radio emergency alerts. But for that to be functional would mean the radios would have to be on at all times to pick up the signal to activate when receiving the tones. Any two way radios for communicating also require being turned on at all times to pickup on an emergency going on. Ambulance services have constant on radios that after receiving their set tones to break the squelch and hear calls might be the best type radios to allow remotely located persons to know there is a dire emergency going on. Going that way should allow fire stations to initiate a transmission to notify local residents.

I appreciate your heads up about our alert system on our cell phones. I rebuke any plans of evil to use this to cut our trees and turn on 5 g which would be very bad.

Triggering. I dealt with the Tubbs fire in 2017. Mass tort lawsuit payments still coming in in 2024. It was the worst, until Paradise fire in 2018 where 80 were killed. Hearing anything like this gives me PTSD. The explosions were propane tanks.

I do not understand how people would not be ready. One way out, fires near, and you have to wait to be told to leave? I do not understand how the boyfriend had a vehicle but felt it was more important to save stuff than to evacuate? Nothing prepared?

@@redrose41000 we camped at santiam flats detroit Saturday/Sunday night. They were allowing campfires even though it was already hazy from smoke. A coworker was only evacuated because her daughter in law called her and told her to go or they would have been asleep in an rv on north fork rd . Absolutely ridiculous management and communication. I hope someone pays. And I don't mean tax payers and insurance companies!

Wrong. People could leave any time. Level 3 is evacuate immediately. Level 2 is be packed and ready. Level 1 is be aware of the danger and prepare. We packed our car and were ready to go at Level 1.

This is why APPLE should be held responsible for pushing out FM radios on Cell Phones. Thats where the EBS used to be and we ALL got the messages EASY. You would leave a radio on and it worked! So many people don't get the level 3 warning! But WTF people , leave at level 2! So glad you survived. Too many others have died!

I'm so sorry, but all of us living in this tinderbox are CONSTANTLY at level 1. Living on a dead-end road is Level 2. They could have been 2/3 prepared. I'm so sorry.
I think you're right. Each home should be set up for a quick evacuation, especially in a high-risk location. This fire seemed to behave like the ones here in CA when we have Santa Ana winds. Once they get going, it's so difficult to control them. I'm sure the notification system will be criticized and improved due to how it was implemented here.

Alison, it is all Spiritual warfare. A battle going on since the garden. Because of the heaviness of sin, and very few people praying warfare prayers against the enemy, God allows these things to happen. He has no choice. He has given us everything, but it is us who have squandered our ways. Next time, be more aware of the Spirit of God. Keep the armor of God on you at all times. Plead the blood of Jesus over everything, including your home. Keep your nose in His Word, and pray, pray pray. Trust Him that He is able to keep you under His wings. Read Palms 91, regularly.
