Can someone please verify for me the POA. I use it a lot as I delivery to building sites everyday and as you can imagine sometimes you have a long wait, I think the longest i waited to get unloaded was over 2 hours. It helps a lot especially when you're in central London because you pull out of the building site its difficult to find a spot to park up to have your break, the POA puts a pause on the working time so you don't have to worry and stress that you're running out of time. I never put it on break on site as you may get told to move at any time and you end up losing it and end up with infringements as some of my colleagues have done. The question I have is, does POA count as a driving break and not a working time break. When you double up it counts the 1st 45 minutes as POA and the rest after that as break, so you only have to stop after 4 and a half hours drive to swap over and not needing the 45 minute break. When you're out on your own I always thought that it doesn't count as a break, I have noticed it resets the drive time after 45 minutes but I still go by that it doesn't count as a driving break and still have my break before 4 and half hour drive. I signed up to Driver Hire other week and they have a few questions you must answer and that was one of them and I chose no, it doesn't count as a driving break and i was wrong. Does anyone know if it does?
