There were people who were jealous of all that Michael had and were racist. Snodden comes to mind. I really believe that was what happened. I am going to fly from Singapore to London to go see it… not just because I think his music is great but also because there’s absolutely no evidence against him. There’s media sensationalism, there’s people lying for money and there’s ridiculous people like this dj who says 5 year olds know he was an abuser…they have not read the trial transcripts, not seen the FBI surveillance documents and will never make the effort to do so before they form an opinion. It’s too much hard work and when challenged they say they know he was an abuser…. How do they know? What’s their homework… just salacious gossipy tabloids? Oh but what grown man sleeps and plays with young children is their best argument.
I haven’t seen a single law anywhere that criminalises having sleep overs and sacking out with children… Michael Jackson wasn’t accused of hanging out with kids… he admitted that. He was accused of molesting them… and he fought and won that and proved his innocence and exposed the liars… a unanimous verdict of not guilty on all counts.
To date there’s not a single person who has complained to the police first of a molestation. They’ve always sued for money ( 1993, 2003 and now). The current bunch in Neverland even filed their case under sealed cover for compensation which was a way to offer the estate a quiet
    settlement option.
I wasn’t such a big Jackson fan and yet wasn’t comfortable listening to his music if he was a molester. So I spent the last 5 months digging up information, reading transcripts, interviews, court analysis. It’s awful after all that to hear people who have formed opinions without putting in any effort to really go find the truth. Go do that effort and if you still come back with the same opinion at least you will have a respectable argument and not say things like every child knows he’s a molester…

  • @parkerproductions4546

I wasn't the biggest fan of Jackson when 2024 started. As an outsider, I thought (judging from what I had heard up until that point) that he was a bit weird and creepy. I decided to do my own research looking into the allegations and make my own mind up about him. I thought "there was no smoke without fire" and I would find something - anything - that would convince me more that he was on the lines of Saville, hiding in plain sight and all of that. Yet, as I looked into it more, watching interview footage of Jackson himself, learning more facts about the 1993 and 2005 trials, and watching Leaving Neverland and its rebuttals, I found to my astonishment that the hard evidence only proved Jackson's innocence to the point where I had no doubt that he was indeed innocent. There was nothing solid or credible or anything of evidential value that would give me reason to believe otherwise.
We'll never get to the bottom of it. The guy's been dead for 15 years which is the same length of time he had to deal with these awful allegations. I believe that people should remain 'Innocent until proven guilty'. The facts remain that Jackson was acquitted of 14 charges by a grand jury during a trial that lasted four months. Without new, hard evidence to give credibility to these allegations, I think Jackson deserves to remain innocent and his reputation untarnished.
I don't know what I find sadder: that an innocent man's name is still dragged through the mud, or that the media failed to report the facts whether it was the 2005 trial or the inconsistencies in the Safechuck/Robson's testimonies in Leaving Neverland. Instead, with the former, they traded the facts for sensationalised headlines, insinuating he was guilty and calling him a "scarface" and a "freak", and with the latter, they took the documentary's claims at facevalue and treated them as the gospel truth, without scrutinising or investigating them. The dude in the yellow shirt was clearly ignorant. It only showed he hadn't a clue of the facts and is merely riding on that (sadly widespread) ignorance. It beggars belief.
On a different track, can anyone explain what Danny Oliver meant at 3:23? If what I gather is correct, I'm not sure I quite agree with what he was saying. I personally don't think the hypocrisy of people letting off some celebrities and not others was born out of 'racism' but moreso from the perception that Jackson was a "strange" character, doing unconventional and unorthodox things, excessive use in plastic surgery, changing his skin colour (which was later learned to be vitiligo) and spending lots of time around young children, behaving in a childlike manner. As far as I'm aware, no other celebrity at the time seemed to come close to that same level of mystique that surrounded Jackson. So I'm not sure what 'racism' had to do with it in this instance?

    • @diamondwest35
      @diamondwest35 Před 2 měsíci +5

I believe the racism point was more underlining as the theme of targeting him snowballed, leading up to his behaviour which you're referencing. He was always seen abit 'different' for his unique adolescent development which was his star quality and initially started as bullying by the media. Thereafter the success of creating the biggest selling album of all time invited those who didn't like the fact that this came from an African American man to join the bandwagon. I doubt whether the criticism of his behaviour would have been so magnified had it not been made so relevant by the press and media who as we know made billions as an institution selling made up stories about him.
His reluctance to converse with the very same press who were purposely and unnecessarily targeting him whether poorly advised or just felt no need to justify himself gave his detractors an advantage to continue to create or exaggerate worse stories until it eventually became a dangerous cat and mouse game. Even though he had the biggest selling album of all time MTV wouldn't air music videos made by African American artists as they said back then that 'it didn't fit their target audience' where ironically he became the first African American to have his video played on MTV as the global demand for his music became too overwhelming and also insanely profitable. This level of success and popularity at the time had never been achieved by any artist let alone an African American man. So the Racism element has always been there with him throughout his career but in different formats, which are too extensive to outline here.
The media are the most powerful entity in the world, superseding any government or sovereignty and unfortunately there are members of it who are racist. So it isn't far fetched that the very same racist faction of the media would big up and display double standards towards one artist who they favour and was proven to be breaking the law against the other who was proven to have not.
By ignoring this deep rooted level of psychological racism which does not have to be overtly expressed to exist, will forever allow it to continue and overcast the minds of generations to come.

15 years later, and I still miss MJ like crazy. He was one of my favorite musicians, and I actually cried the day he passed away. I first heard him when I was 8 years old, and I still adore most of his songs. I truly hope that he's in Heaven with God and Jesus now. Even with all his popularity, so many treated him like the worst person on Earth, and he didn't deserve that at all.

I will forever listen to his music right up until the day I die he was a musical genius and no allegations that have been made against him can ever change that and I believe he's innocent anyways he was found innocent in 2005 and I stand by that not two guys who have come all these years later saying they was sexually abused by him there is no proof of their claims other than what they have said happened and Michael is not here anymore to defend himself but I know it's all just about money nothing more I will forever love & support him MJ IS INNOCENT. ❤👑 #ForeverTheKingOfPop

Every singer or band always have some controversy and critics….and yet those people who think they know the artist best are often the ones who are after fame and fortune for themselves.

I'm still listening to Michael Jackson. I don't want to deny that I think he was a very troubled and somewhat odd man, but I do believe that there was nothing criminal he did, by inviting people to his home. The facts are out there, but the media profits too much from spinning the lie.

Very true what the other guy said of being a victim of false allegations does leave painful scars and the most popular entertainer MJ got really affected by those lies

Yes, he is right about that. When me and my co-workers were doing some stuff on our theme park ride project (Kooky Trails). We got falsely accused by a former Voice Actress of us being discriminatory towards others on the autism spectrum. When that wasn't even true because me and half of the crew involved in that production are autistic ourselves. That and the Voice Actress was fired for being unruly, stirring personal drama, and annoying team members in DMs on Discord; which we have all the receipts to.
People will tend to sadly believe the liars more than the victims themselves. Its truly sad and I witnessed how that affected my co-worker mentally. It even got to me months later when the Voice Actress launched a petition on my project after my grandfather died. Humans can be truly disgusting people.

Danny articulated himself so well! If you're one of the people who chooses not to play Michael's music because it "makes you feel bad" or due to his controversies, then I urge you to take a minute to think about where the TRUE SOURCE of your feelings are coming from 💭
Is it the media, running with a narrative that was disproven in a court of law (and by many other people)? Could it be a documentary (of which a number of inconsistencies were later brought to light)? Remember, there's a difference between FACTS and FACTUAL POINTS OF VIEW! Documentaries are often crafted with a specific agenda in mind. They can be full of biases and influenced by the perspective, motives and agenda of the filmmaker. When they fail to achieve a reasonable and logical balance of perspective, they become PROPAGANDA.
People have always been exploiting MJ for financial gain. The two men in the Leaving Neverland mockumentary claimed that they had no financial interest.... yet afterwards, they tried to sue the estate for billions of dollars. Please do your OWN fact-checking and do not become part of 'sheeple' culture.

A man cleared by FBI and a court of law. A hit piece documentary that fell apart with proven lies exposed. Even buildings that didnt exist provably while there was ab*se described in that very building in the year 1988. Yet it was built in 1994. The man was innocent and hell yeah lets amplify his music and celebrate the man and the legacy. Tired of the same lame debate from media not making the efforts to ever fact check and put this to rest.

"An opinion is only valid when it comes from a place of integrity"
    I couldn't agree MORE!
AND...I think it was rude and insensitive that the "hosts" ("presenters") Allowed the guy in the yellow to interrupt but not the other guy.
Reinforcing bad behavior and snubbing out the one of high integrity.
    It's beyond irritating
