@@hyundai225 for the MK2, it was where you could either get a Celica version which was slightly different than the Supra model but for the most part they considered them a mix of both before completely seperaring the two in mid 1986 when they started selling the MK3 Supra
Shyzah A JZ swap would be cool, but I question the size that it can fit into the smaller MA60 Supra. Anything that isn't a GM product should never have a OHV V8 in it, ever. I respect Camaros & Corvettes, but screw anyone who takes a Japanese/European car and drops an LS into it.
I like the way america v8s sound. the toyota 1uz is also great. I like the 2jz A LOT but I like the way a v8 sounds. But the 2jz I guess would be the biggest bang for the buck for a nice street car. I don't have a problem with gm engines being in japanese cars, espically the lsx. Like that is one hell of an engine. To me keeping the interior and exterior mostly original means a lot, I could careless what's under the hood... as long as its good im good. Just my opinion.
If I don't use 20w60 mine clatters and doesn't run well. But with some LM 20W60 it's super smooth and pulls all the way to the top. I've also advanced my timing a good bit and run 93 octane only
The real question here is why would you want to put in a dash from and AE86? The Celica Supra's dash gauges has more information and higher speed readings.
I fell in love with these cars 7 years ago, finally finding one now for sale (84 standard), I could watch this for hours
Used to have a Celica Supra in high school, damn... watching this makes me want one again.
you do realise, that Celica and Supra is two different models, right?
My bad, didn't know that in specific regions it was called like that.
Rokas Varnas they weren't always separate

@@hyundai225 I'm a few years late to this but on the badges it says Celica supra because at the time the supra was a sub model of the celica
from my timing that was 0-60 in 8 seconds and 0-100 in 22.3 seconds. Cant wait till i get my MA61 P type fixed up
110 Plus around 30 sec I hope this is stock got one if these 5mge laying around
I love that sound!
Still one more gear to go! Smooth engine 👍

Holy crap, that thing is fast
Lols, for the 80's it was....
@@OlafGodredsson still not bad these days for what it is
I still own one in 2020
Same here
Just bought one yesterday for $1500 cash and drug her home today. I’ve got an 86 celica Supra with the 2.8l p-type model.
I'm pretty sure the 5M-GE is a mid-range motor & shifting @ 6k makes the fastest acceleration.
But since I don't own one, what do I know :/
you are a bit right
Trades46 or install a chevy or toyota v8 or a 2jz and you will have the ultimate car

Is that beauty bone stock or...
Stock engine. Only custom 2,5" exhaust and K&N air filter.
I got the 1982 version.
Why does this car sound like Nissan Maxima Turbo?
Same voice with 7mgte
Will the dash from the AE86 fit in here?
Probably not
@@GrabowskyMotorCompany what i mean will the gauge cluster fit? Sorry, that was my mistake for not clarifying on what i ment
@@a-dog8075 I've never had AE86 so It's hard to say.

Ae86 has a 140 mph speed reading so the ae86 is higher by 10 mph.
you need straight Pipes bro
