Personally , I bought the mi9t . It's cheaper and the snapdragon 730 is the perfect combo of performance and it's not as power hungry as the 855 so it doesn't drain as much battery, and in day to day use it's not something you'll notice on difference on.

Go to the security app. Scroll down and you'll see Game Boost. Click that and the first time you use it, a shortcut icon will be added to your homescreen. You'll need to manually add apps that you want to boost. It is similar to PC game boosters. My guess is you can boost any resource intensive app using this.
