I quit this game after getting halfway through it several years ago. A month ago, I decided to attempt to give it a go again. I'm a little OCD with video games in that I try to complete them if I can, but I don't know what it is about this game, I could not bare another minute playing this game. I hate the player progression and it was very very repetitive. Thankfully, you made this so now i don't have to play it anymore and I can place it back on the shelf where it belongs.

I completely agree with you. Tried to make every planet suitable and it was so boring and time consuming so stopped playing it.
Nicely done I actually got some of the plot points that I just didn't really follow while I was mining and stuff
I would have been a much more exciting reveal if they discovered the Jardaan had been fighting the Reapers and that this is also where the Ket get their transformation technology from.
I have picked up and put down this game so many times and have never beaten it so thank you good sir for this
Thank you so very much for this. I got through most of the game, just wanting to know the story (in case it's somehow magically relevant in ME4), but couldn't finish. Thanks to this video, I can uninstall without remorse.
Same, I played it like 2 years ago but didn't see through the story, now somehow youtube offered some mass effect videos, so I searched for the mass effect trilogy story (which is really amazing) then for this. I guess I played half way through the Andromeda before i uninstalled.

Thanks for this. I tried to beat this game 3 times now since launch and honestly I just couldn't do it. There is something about this game that just bores the shit out of you. I hope they make the acting and story better in the next game and make it exciting to play again.
I tried to play andromeda literally fell asleep while playing then came back a couple years later to beat it and still fell asleep.
Then in 2021 Mass effect legendary edition came back to ps4 and I beat all stories on hardest difficulty and dumped over76 hours into the game in 1 week. I literally locked myself in my room for that masterpiece
I simply could not stop playing, went like this for 3 weeks. Work > go home to mass effect > work > Repeat

They just took a ton of random Sci fi stories and mashed it into one. Then they wonder why this game never stuck...
Imagine if the story was a fade to black type of journey where they went to Andromeda as a means to survive the reapers, but they arrive and discover that the reapers have actually conquered Andromeda and are there. Ryder and his team have to make a choice and sacrifice themselves to stop the reapers there from killing the milkyway refugees. All of the milkyway survivors give up their technology and go back to the stone age more or less, so as to avoid being killed off by the reapers. It would have been a sad but good ending imo
I finished this game last year. I may be an exception but I loved this game. Yesterday I bought it on sale and started my second playthrough. It's good to be back in its universe.

omfg is literally everything in this game: “it was actually made by an ancient long gone race” .
I thought the game was pretty good, had some issues. really bites that there won't be any official DLC, at best mods made by others. I think it was pretty good for being in a whole new galaxy and having to start the lore practically from scratch. oh well, hopefully ME:A2 gets more effort put into it and continues the Ryder story

My words it has to be mea 2 and it should be released in about 4 to 5 years since anthem is at least over 3 years in development whike da4 is in dev as well meaning ppl will be able to work on a mea sequel after anthems release imideatly since eas support team most likley will also has to work on something if they dont continue andromedas life support for mp after december they already have to either work on anthem and speed up the release dramatically or get a new studio send to start working on the next me game in january already i mean as long ea's vice president meand what he sayd also ea wants money and money dont comes without new products to sell so ea is forced to do something this time gladly for us haters may not like it but these are the facts

I tried to ignore most of the reviews and tried it out with an open mind 4 years later, but got bored about the time you get to Aya. Thanks for saving my time with the rest of the story!

Ive played all the first 3 me games but got an hour into this and got bored as it was just constant combat and an overwhelming amounts of things that had to be done, didn't feel like an rpg felt like a third person ubisoft game

Thanks for the video! I replayed me1-3 many times but I gave up Andromeda during one Mako mission. Even listening to the story here makes me want to sleep and the collection of dead faces keep reminding me what a piece of crap this game is.
Watched this for the same reasons as the others here. I have 44 hours into the game and I couldnt bear it anymore. It's just too repetitive and tiresome.
I like ME:A But i binded me only for playing one game trough to 100%. The whole Trilogy i enjoyed couple of times (10 times or more). I started 2 months ago ME:A for the second run, but playing 30 minutes all two days or per week and quit the game. No enjoying parts :/
Maybe later this year or next, but i cant enjoy the game a second time

I guess I'm the only ME fan who actually liked ME : Andromeda. It's not a perfect game but hey, it's still a fun game with hours of content to enjoy.
I agree, I'm also big ME fan and I enjoyed andromeda a lot, the combat system is amazing(much better than ME2/3 combat/movement), it has huge(compared to ME2/3) open worlds to freely explore with lots of stuff to do with the nomad(yes!), graphics and effects are really good and the I'll rate the multiplayer a 7.5/10. But yes, I was really dissapointed when I saw the facial animations in my own game, it was terrible. But, the storyline,charachters,conversations,interactions,the enemy,lack of new races,lack of choice importance throughout the game, and with outposts, was just a complete let down and dissapointment, compared to the trilogy. Lack of interesting story was the reason I stopped playing.
Now I'm playing The Witcher 3 for my 5th playthrough. God dammit Bioware.

I also agree. The game after the 10 patches is what it should have been at release, and is fun to play. While the story is not as focused, and there are a lot of loose ends that were clearly intended for DLC we now will never get, it's a decent game; just not the great game it could have, and should have, been. The combat I thought was the best out of all the ME games, but the story was scene setting.
The game didn't live up to expectations, but in my opinion is not as bad (post patches) as it's reputation. I still go back an play it now and again, but it will be my least played ME game; and that's down to the fact there is no single player DLC (I'm not interested in multiplayer) and that my choices aren't going to carry over into a sequel like they did in ME1, ME2, DAO, DA2, and DAI. I even played ME3 more often than I have MEA; despite the lack of meaningful ending(s).

Afeigned Goat They can dislike whatever they want, just as fans care for a game like ME: A. People were tired of BIOWARE's laziness and mediocrity after DAI, so after they released Andromeda they (the fans) finally snapped.
Incredible game. Loved it. I'm so sad we never got dlc or a sequel. I loved the first series, but there was so much story potential in Andromeda, and I could play it without getting depressed. I would much rather they finish this series before trying to do ME 5. Finding the quarian ark and getting to see the Kett empire would have been amazing. Too bad.

Great game! Was just to many gather missions that meant nothing. Lots of missions that where just boring and not worth doing. Plus the puzzles of matching symbols were terrible. Every time I had to do them it made me not want to continue the game. Minus those things the game was awesome.

i think the best thing for the next mass effect is to forget mass effect 3 which i think the next alien movie is also going to do

Bioware should've spent more time doing a Remastered Mass Effect Trilogy that has highly detailed graphics and fixed issues like broken dialogue or glitches at least in the Mass Effect 3 Omega DLC instead of coming up with a crappy game like Andromeda.

Then somebody needs to come up with petitioning both Bioware and EA to make them do a Remastered Mass Effect Trilogy and include a list of issues that needed to be fixed or those (like me) who wanted certain items like the N7 Hoodie for Mass Effect 3 but was unable to due to not pre-ordering the game have everything included.
And here we are, Go buy the ledgendary edition out now :)
When you explain the plot in 10 minutes it sounds even worse, exposing the pure unmotivated essence of Andromeda. It's a pity. Hope we get back to the Milkyway for the next one, whenever that may be.
I am a loyal fan of mass effect trilogy..i thought Andromeda had great potential, im just disappointed that EA/Bioware bowed down to social media and let down us true me fans with an open ended story that could have great game play with no ending. I did not like me 1 but the last two games brought it in a full awesome circle. Today seems company has no loyalty to true fans. They just needed to put more time and love into the game.

Played this game for two hours and felt bitterly disappointed coming straight from ME legendary edition. Glad I didn't continue. Story is bland, repetitive and boring.
