To everyone who is worried in the comments, these stingrays are HIGHLY protected. They actually greatly suffered during COVID, so locals had to go out and spend time with them.The Stingrays are not trapped there, they can willingly leave… it’s open water. They are so loved by us locals and cared for. I hope you enjoyed visiting Grand Cayman! 🌴🐚
I spent ten days in your country and I really want to go back there again. It makes sense that the stingrays needed some extra TLC during the pandemic because they are so used to having tons of people pet them and give them treats (especially at sting ray city… the huge sandbar where cruise ship boats go on tours to swim with the stingrays). We stopped there on a day where we also went snorkeling at a couple other coral reefs.

Can I just ask, if you suffer from motion sickness on the small boat do you not suffer with it on the Disney ship?
I desperately want to do this cruise but I suffer serverly with motion sickness
@@doodles3075 Everyone is different, but I’d say if you are someone who suffers from severe motion sickness like you say, chances are you are going to feel sea sick on the cruise. Some people have success loading themselves up with Dramamine to try and prevent it, but it doesn’t take the sickness away for everyone. I haven’t been on a cruise (sea sickness being one of them), but I know many who have who also have severe motion sickness, and there is definitely the chance that you could be feeling nauseous the entire time. I’d say at least test the waters (no pun intended lol) with a daytime boat tour on a bigger boat (like a dinner cruise or tourist attraction) or on a ferry before spending thousands of dollars on an actual cruise, even if it’s not a 100% representation of an actual cruise. There are also some people who have significant motion sickness that do fine on cruises (as cruise ships have gotten better over time when it comes to stabilization of the ship). It really just depends on the person. It also depends on what the waves are like while out on the ocean and if any storms pop up, which isn’t really something that can be planned for.

Just an FYI any excursion trip in a “non-cruise ship” boat like that, should absolutely REQUIRE all passengers under the age of 18 to wear a life vest anytime the water craft is traveling, at minimum. They should also have enough life vest for everyone else on board, no matter how “good” the weather is. Plus, it never hurts to verify first - just good water safety.
Even if the captain is the most experienced person in the world, & there’s adults there, you never know what could happen. I think of the duck boat incident, a very sad example of how unpredictable mother nature can be! Glad to see your family had a fun time. Chris in eyeliner is a moment I didn’t know I needed lol. The Islands really are gorgeous!

So glad your kids truly appreciate the Great times they have, I mean its refreshing that their not spoiled brats nor mean to each other. Hopefully he didn't have a severe reaction to the drink. As someone who has severe allergies to almost everything outside and in and has recently been developing new ones to various foods I would hope that he had an EPI pen and Benadryl with him especially with the reaction he described. I carry mine in multiple places on me and in my purse or whatever I am using to hold my inhaler and other necessities and sometimes my husband will keep some with him because you never know when there's an ingredient that you're allergic to hiding in something or you suddenly develop a new allergy which can happen at anytime. The ship"s doctor would probably have the supplies to treat an allergic reaction.
I have been on MANY cruises. 3rd party vendors ARE the best. Cruises only advice you not to because they want your money. Many vendors do this for a living so there main priority is getting you back on time. ALSO! They are soooo much better than cruise excursions!
Not always better but sometimes. The only risk is if it’s a far drive from the port and there is traffic or a breakdown the ship will not hold departure. If your on a ships tour they are in constant contact with shore excursions staff and will ensure you get back to the ship.

OMG that stingray experience looked like sooo much fun. Jess thank you so so much for always sharing your family trips with us it makes me feel like I'm there with you. When you guys were in the water with the stingrays I had the biggest smile on my face like I was there. 😁😁😁😁😁💕. Oh and I hope those mangoes didn't give him an allergic reaction that's scary 😳. I'm allergic to peaches so I don't eat anything mango unless it's fresh mangos because mostly everything that's mango flavor has that peachy taste to it. So I just avoid it.
Everyone commenting about Steve Irwin 🙄 He was swimming in deep water with Manta Rays. They are HUGE. These sting rays they are interacting with are not manta rays.
Also, for the complaints about the interactions, if the rays didn’t like it, they wouldn’t come there and allow it. They can swim away whenever they want. If they felt threatened they have stingers. Obviously they are doing fine. 🤷🏼♀️
I mean, there’s worse ways to get stranded when your cruise ship leaves without you on it. But you do realize that all of the kids passports were on board? Taking a risk like that is one thing, but not being able to identify would terrify me.

I used to get really badly sea sick when going on cruises. So my mum used to get these bracelets that go on both of your wrists and have these beads that presses on your pressure points. Sea sick bracelets are really good and have worked really well for me. You should try them for next time

Steve Irwin died when he was swimming with Stingrays. The stingrays' barb punctured his heart. It is so dangerous to swim with them! It happed in September of 2006. Please, be careful when traveling. Different countries have different safety rules. I would hate to hear about your family getting hurt on vacation. I know it is, a common excursion when In the carribeans, but there have been injuries to other tourists when on these excursions. Also, stingrays are usually gentle, and Docile creatures. However, they can get startled with loud noises and crowds.
Feeling the need to book a cruise soon. I miss the magic of being on a floating non-stop party🥳🤗. So much to do, all in one place, and its all inclusive🤔... yeah, definitely time😏👌
I never book excursion through the ship, they’re overpriced and overcrowded. I use Shore Excursion Group and have always had a fantastic experience.

It had a waterproof mode. If you swipe up to where you silence it. Scroll down and you will see a water drop. Hit it then when you are done in the water turn the crown until it releases. Hope this helps.

We always took a private tour off the ship and never had any problems.
I’ve been on a Disney cruise twice but the fist time I was 5-6 so I didn’t remember it, and the second time we couldn’t go to Disney’s private island because of hurricane Dorian 😢

Jess, please consider observing the wildlife with your eyes and not your hands. How would you feel if someone came into your home and started touching you? I know it's enticing but it's not necessary.

@@Riley-ow8ok It doesn't really matter if the stingrays are not technically affected by it. The ocean is not a petting zoo and the animals living there should not have to be subjected to being picked up and handled for the sake of human pleasure.

It looks like a magical experience! I love Disney and love cruises but don’t have young children or grandchildren. I wonder if there will ever be a Disney cruise for adults only or if I can borrow a friends kid so that it’s not extremely awkward to go on a family cruise with just my husband and no little kids.
I went early summer last year and there were tons of adult only groups. Lots of couples and mothers/daughters. If you’re okay with being around kids it’s an awesome experience. The adult only areas are pretty cool. The shows on board are Broadway level and the dinning experiences are wonderful! Highly recommend.
There are actually many couples who go on the cruise without kids. And they hang out mostly in the adult only areas.
People do it for a honeymoon or just needing a vacation that has fun stuff planned that's not all about getting wasted (even if that's what many of the adults do anyway)
You don’t have to be young or have kids in my 60’s my best friend and I would go and have a blast
I looked into it. There’s no way I’m willing to pay between $300-$600 nightly for a cruise when I can get an ocean view balcony cabin for half the price on Royal Caribbean. Unless the quality of Royal Caribbean or Princess Cruises has gone down I’ll be more than satisfied cruising with them. It has been around 10 years since I traveled with them but I remember those cruises as being a blast. Obviously they’re not as magical as Disney but I’m pretty darn poor. My rent is only a thousand a month 🤣 I’d never be able to justify paying for a Disney cruise. Maybe one day my circumstances will change and I’ll get to go on a Disney Cruise.

Was the water warm?, looked windy, I hope this changes people opinions of sting rays, they are love creatures, sadly it means they have cut off there stingers but in Australia after Steve Irwin died people were killing them, they don't attack unless provoked, Steve was a sad accident and he wouldn't won't them killed
