@@twojaStara698 I'm not an American and am unfamiliar with their laws but I believe it means that they failed to report the border crossing (which is very illegal) to legal authorities as they attempted to do it with the other guys, hence "Failure to Report". They would need a very good lawyer to get himself out of this one I'm afraid as this is a very serious issue.

Same exact problems in Europe, people think its a free paradise worth risking your life for but the reality is that it can take years to become legal (if you even can) and untill then youre not able to work, study or get your own house. Its a depressing life without any family or friends nearby.
America is actually better at integrating immigrants than Europe and Canada. In most countries, refugee's remain an economic burden, however in America they actually increase their earnings over time, get really good at the language and settle down. Ironically this may be because the US government outsources integration to the immigrant communities and charities, where they're around people like them. The second generation comes out as part of the country. Meanwhile in Europe it seems like in many countries the Second Generation is actually worse off than the first and are even less integrated. They're socially isolated and form violent gangs to make money.

@@joeg5414 Well, the obvious question is if you're a US citizen, why would you need to cross the border illegally if you can already hop between it freely? With someone who isn't a citizen there are many reasons they may attempt to cross illegally, mainly because the legal avenues are poorly designed and prohibitive, therefore illegally crossing the border, turning yourself in and claiming asylum is a the logical choice for most at the border.
Do asylum seekers get blacklisted from normal entry with a holiday/work visa? If not, e.g. a Canadian could come to the US illegally and in case he gets caught he just has to apply for asylum to avoid consequences. Just a silly idea to avoid all the complicated ESTER Visa stuff you have to do :D

Total waste of time, kind of my fault, also stupid bureaucracy. But not the employees faults. I made an appointment, showed up, got seen and got what I needed with no trouble at all. Actually the employee advised me not to discard my old license in their trash because there was a risk my identity could be stolen or something before it made it to a landfill. Nice lady. But this is the first time I've ever spoken of it.

Fair criticism re: HST's degeneracy and injecting that into his work largely defined what "gonzo" means now. @@joeg5414 Well, the obvious question is if you're a US citizen, why would you need to cross the border illegally if you can already hop between it freely? With someone who isn't a citizen there are many reasons they may attempt to cross illegally, mainly because the legal avenues are poorly designed and prohibitive, therefore illegally crossing the border, turning yourself in and claiming asylum is a the logical choice for most at the border.
Do asylum seekers get blacklisted from normal entry with a holiday/work visa? If not, e.g. a Canadian could come to the US illegally and in case he gets caught he just has to apply for asylum to avoid consequences. Just a silly idea to avoid all the complicated ESTER Visa stuff you have to do :D

Actually the employee advised me not to discard my old license in their trash because there was a risk my identity could be stolen or something before it made it to a landfill. Nice lady.
