    out here in Quebec we dont have ginseng per se...we got salsepareillla which is a cousin. The good part is way way smaller so you gotta hunt for older way older specimens...anyways. The fruit can be harvested (and the tubercule grounded using a cheese grater...awesome fragrance) and the good part can be seen out of the ground in September early October (after that the leaves and stem just disappear)..../I infuse some every freakin day with my morning covfefe subbed!

    I don't need to know where your spots are believe me I got a thousand of my own! Once you know where to look it's easy! I have been seeing this new plant growing in the woods around where I ginsing hunt and it's this nasty burning type of plant that all you need to do is rub uo against it or touch it and you get swollen hands and legs it's the most nasty thing I have ever ran into! I was curious if you know anything about it? I have noticed in many of my spots this crap is growing and it's killing everything around it! Nothing else will grow! Id like to share a video showing you what it is and see what you think or if you know anything about it!

      Is it stinging nettle?

    • @allenstayduhar7139
      @allenstayduhar7139 Před měsícem +1

      @ForagingTruth after doing some research, I believe it is! This stuff thrives in my area. Western Pennsylvania Latrobe, to be exact. It's such a shame as is said it completely kills everything around it and seems to spread faster than knotweed does. It gets very tall, 4 feet.

    North east PA sucks. Been all over theses mountains. Don't waist your time. Anything Luzerne county and north is terrible land. The dirt is too polluted.

    Learn how to dig better man before you post to the world. Take them berries off first so they don't fall off during process..... your leaving alot of hairs in the ground too

      Here in PA we have to leave the berries in the area of the plant. 😅 Thanks for the feedback. Thanks for watching. Maybe you can come teach me some tricks for digging it out from under a tree🤣
