Feather effect in faux fur

The technique used to make a feather look in faux fur for dinosaurs. Pictured is a deinonychus

The fact that you did all of that by hand is just incredible. Are the longer feathers at the bottom also sculpted from the fur in the same way?

Thanks so much. Yes, the longer feathers are the same technique. I glued a length of wire between two pieces of faux fur for rigidity though for those lower feathers.

Could you tell me what the pile length of the fur was?

I wish I could remember. I believe it’s a “shag”, but honestly you can use pretty much any pile length.
