Thank you Danny, you just saved my butt with this video
Great video! I'm a new candle maker myself working on a luxe candle line. I started using the Permatex gasket adhesive(on Amazon) instead of the glue gun for the wicks and it made things a little easier/faster. Looking forward to more content and good luck! 👍🏾
Hi there🙋🏻♀️ do you let the permatex adhesive dry overnight or would a couple hours work? I just bought the same one as you on amazon but I’m so impatient lol 😆
Hey there! I usually prep the vessels with the wick, wick holders, and glue first. Then I measure the wax, mix the fragrance oils, and usually by the time the wax is melted and FO added I just pour and the wicks have been fine. I don't think it's longer than 30-40 minutes from when I apply the wicks to pouring in the vessels, but I would test and make sure it works ok before you do big batches 😀.
YOURE ADORABLEE 💞 thank you for sharing this! Very helpful I want to start a small business I’m currently lost so thanks!! U got my sub 🤍
Hey Danny great video lots of good info as I am just starting to do candles with my soap line. What size label are you using on the bottom half of your candle tin
Hi Danny! Love your videos! I’m new to the candle business and I was wondering did you ever have to have to use a heat gun on these at any time? Doesn’t seem like it because of the quality of wax but I thought I should ask.
Do you use high temperature glue gun and sticks? Or can it be just a regular gun and regular glue sticks? Thank you in advance☺️
Do they smell amazing after you burned it a few days later??? Love your video!!!! Bravo 👏🏻 🏆👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
Hi i have similar tin to yours.. i need your advice. please guide me how to fix tunnel candle in 4oz tin and how to fix the wick as its become short when the wax is there.... like around the wax but little bit. please help!! i tried with heat gun and added a new wick but that doesn't seem to help when the wax is little bit so what should i do? i would appreciate if anyone reply quick
Hi! What wicks are you using?
This is an older video, but! Have you tried to use an empty pen container to put your wicks in? It keeps you from burning yourself! :)
Do you print out the labels yourself that have your nane on it
Hi Danny. Love your videos! I was wondering what size your tin containers are? I can't seem to find the perfect size for mine.
Hi! They’re technically 8 oz but they hold less than that, I’d say more like 7 oz
Hi what ML is your container? Is that 100ml?
Just wondering what kind and size wicks you use? Love your vids!
Thanks! For a 3.25 inch tin you can use a HTP93 or CD20, here's a wick guide that I used from Flaming Candle www.theflamingcandle.com/wick-guide/
Hi great video. Not made any candle's yet was wondering if you could advise me I have a 5oz tin but don't have a clue what size wick I need. Thanks 😊
Have you tried using the Candle Wick Guide from Flaming Candle? I use it for all my candles and it usually works
If you’re Canadian how did you order from wood and wick co?
Which wick did you use please
Great video. If I may ask what size tin cans are you using. Thank you
What did you make your label with
Will the tins gonna be hot after or during using the candles ?, they look great!
Sometimes yes! Depends how long they’ve been burning, but I’ve never received a burn from handling it
Is this actually 8oz of wax or just 8oz tins?
Does cotton wicks works for you ?
What size is your tins please
Am new to Candle making and I tried the tins but the ones I found leaked after I poured in them, wondering if you faced that problem!
The silver tins with the lids leaked?? I’m sorry, I got mine from Uline and didn’t experience that!
@@DannyCrafts that's ok, will have to find some better ones i guess, thanks!
Do you have to be sure when you buy tunes that they don’t have a seam in them if they have a seam in the chin they tend to leak more often than not. Kendall science has a very nice tune that is it expensive the silver with the metal tops
I love your video. How did you measure the wax amount?
I use a scale! If it’s your first time using a jar I would just melt a close enough amount of wax and then pour it into your jar once it’s on a scale to get the exact amount
@@DannyCrafts Thanks so much! I appreciate the reply. I've attempted to make 3 candles but all of them turn to liquid after 5 mins. of burning. How long do you allow your candles to cure before lighting?
@@raventilford2724 Hmmmm I don't think that's a curing issue, but if im test burning a candle I try to wait at least 24-72 hours. If a candle is turning liquid after 5 minutes the wick must be too big, or the wax is too soft. What kind do you use?
@@raventilford2724 what about your wick? And how big is your jar (diameter)
What size are your tins ? Mine are 5oz and im trying to know how much wax I'd need lol its so stressful ,can you explain the fragrance oil to me even for one candle lol !!
Great question! So I bought 8oz candle tins from Uline, but they don’t hold 8oz of wax it’s closer to 6 for me! So I put about 6oz of wax and .6oz fragrance oil for each candle. Sometimes I have left over and I save it
@@DannyCrafts so sorry but what would that all be in grams 😂 I am so new to all this , someone has the excat same tin as me and it holds 90 g of wax and she said " tip, if you fill the container you're using twice it's the perfect amount melted 💗" so would that be 180 grams?
@@lindaquinn3567 haha no worries, apparently 6oz is 170 in grams. I’m not sure if that helps but I’ve also heard about filling the container twice with solid wax to see how much it holds. Although that is volume amd not the actual weight
Is there a specific temperature you have to get your wax before putting in the frangrances for the fragrance to stay? I’ve had a problem with frangrance not staying so I wanted to ask.
What size wick is this
This was the HTP 93 wick, but ive recently changed to CD-20 for these sized jars. 3.25 inches
New sub😊 what size wick are you using here?
Thank you! This is the HTP 93, but since then I’ve changed to the CD 20, burns better!
@@DannyCrafts thanks Danny! I'm interested in a Cricut... where's the best place to purchase in Canada?
@@LT-mz5yc I bought mine from Michael’s, they were on sale at Christmas time last year but you can also check the Cricut Canada website!

Did u say ur trying to get ur wax to 890 degrees? Lol or did I hear it wrong?
I did it with the Woodglut plans.
Stodoys Blueprints has some very useful blueprints with all the details you need.
I had so much anxiety with your pot handle sticking out! I was so scared that you would knock the pot off the stove and hot wax would be everywhere 😩 please turn the handle around. Other than that, your video was very informative.
I really enjoy your video , your clear instructions and information makes you feel you don’t mine sharing
