That was great. I lived in Chicago for the first ten years of my life. And you really captured it's beauty. Watching that was very nostalgic for me. Thank you. (Great song choice too.)
i love that line "chicago, a new age, but what would frank lloyd wright say?" it works perfectly to have the video be from the top of sears at that part of the song. great job!
Great video! The camerawork is steady and the editing is well-done. I love what you've captured. Chicago is a great place to visit (I live in Indy, 3 hours away, and usually find myself there at least once a year.) I just ate at Pizza Due (shown at the end of the video) in August!
Man, I had forgotten that American Gothic is at the Art Institute. I must have skipped that wing/room the last time I was there (too busy checking out the new addition and the temporary exhibits). Also, you made me remember how awesome The Field Museum was when I was young (and undoubtedly still is), and how many years ago my last Cubs (or Sox) game was. Great video, particularly 2:20 - 2:48, for a wonderful song.
Chicago, greatest skyline, best people, sport, music, entertainment, astounding architecture, leisure, parks, an economy bigger than Ireland, possibly the best city ever concieved.
Chicago in the fall/wintertime is one of the most beautiful places in the entire world. I make sure to take the train in at least a few times throughout the fall and winter to just walk.
Id´be so glad to make virtual friends and share our experiences, our day-by-day events- the life style in general here and there. Hugs to everyone. God be with you all!
it might be a keyboard or a piano of some sort. i think this because i like this artist named martin dosh who plays keyboard in all of his songs and well the solo and his keyboard sound similar.
Does anybody know what is the instrument that is used for the last solo of the song? it sounds really cool, probably a synthe, but it sounds so distorted and raw.
One of my dreams in life is getting to know that city...I love the contrast between the high buildings and Lake Michigan, but I´m afraid of couples things I listended about people from there: they don´t like Latins...is it true? Another doubt: Is Lake Michigan´s water salty? Do people take bath in it in the summertime? Hugs to everyone.

Oh yes...I should really know how to use some expressions before posting them...Of course people take bath in Chicago. Sorry. I just got confused about "taking bath" and "swimming", as both of them sound alike in my language (Portuguese). Changing of subject, I´d really like to meet some people from that wonderful city, even only on the web, by Windows Live or kind of it.

@JohnRhysMusician Yeah, I think it's the politics that give us a bad reputation. (they are pretty bad) But it really is an extremely unique thing to be a chicagoan. I am honored.
ah yes, but i think you meant Hispanic people. no worries though, chicago does not hate hispanic people. chicago is a melting pot of many wonderful cultures so dont listen to what others say. i guess you'll have to experience it for yourself.
hash caddy I'm sorry to hear that but this song is just so great it is just so lovely and dearing for the windy city. I mean the voice that is silky smooth that flows with the instruments, the vibrant subtle references to history, anti-marketing messages, and the composition of the song just makes it so great. I hope you have the time to realize the greatness of this song.
this is a fabulous video. i love what you've done with the still shots and the beat of the music. great great song!
Your video continues to make me smile and feel proud to call Chicago home. :)
Amazing video! Made My Cry
I just want you to know that you did a wonderful job with this video. It always makes me miss Chicago. Great job!

Ahh, the Giant Bean... Gotta love Chicago. My cousin and I would try to stand on our heads, and look through the image on the Bean. Haha, memories.
I agree, because too often do people forget that there is a lot more to Illinois than just Chicago. :)

Oh, and the bean is fun when it rains! The water rolls down in zig-zags and people hide under it!
I've never been to the U.S. but the first place i would want to go is Chicago....dont know why..but it looks quite nice...with the statues.

Erm...what's the redhead doing at 1:40.....;)

The person was asking if there were other bands like this... Sufjan Stevens is NOTHING like Iron and Wine, though they are still good.
not from there but, chicago, prob the single greatest city in america
Chicago is far from boring.
This sounds NOTHING like Iron and Wine. This is much more musically complex.

There's more than that in Chicago. If you think that's all that's there is, you have close minded way of thinking little man.
Is this just me but is this song just very boring. IDK it's just it has no umphh. Has no sounds i never heard before. I like that in a song.
