    I can relate wella. Here in Saudi, you can’t even get someone that’ll cater your food. For my son’s birthday, I did the decor, my friends and I did the whole cooking,small chops and mocktails. I’m now a pro with relaxing my hair and doing basic styles. I did my son’s birthday shoot and my baby’s newborn shoot, I just learnt how to set the lighting well on CZcams and then sent the pics to my photographer in Nigeria to edit them and it came out perfect.
    It’s not easy at all but I’m grateful that I have these skills now.

Thanks for this advice it will really help alot of people to plan very well before coming in UK. U are amazing

    The handy man bit should be #1. its called Trades Men (Joiner/carpenter, bricklayer/plasterer, painter, electrician, Plumber, roofer). I deliberately did not add mechanic bcos its now technology. Most mechanics are actually mechanical graduate engineers. I only disagree with driving if your country of origin drives on the left side. you will already have bags of bad habit which will make transitioning difficult but I also understand why driving is included. Do not underestimate the importance of cooking.

  • @JOYJISAAC
    @JOYJISAAC Před 2 lety +9

    Well said Touchi, my little pastry skill really help when I was in the UK. I make meat pie, chi-chi, puffy puffy etc for party's. I was cooking for some students to store in their fridge. I make daughters hair sometimes by myself when I have time. If you are a nursing mother you can take of your friends children and get paid while they go to work.

    Vocational jobs have lower barriers to entry and they pay much much more than Professional jobs. Vocational jobs are easier route to start your own business and generate funds for investment. Only difficulty, is level of fitness and working in unfavourable conditions (sometimes in the cold or very awkward locations. Plumbers,dry liners and bricklayers, earn more than most office working professionals or Uber drivers.
