- Do you ever wonder what would happen if someone in the Middle East had nukes?
Yeah I mean I haven't either, but this is the Modern Day Mod for HOI4 and it's time to find out!
We are going to be playing Modern Day Iran and we are going for that nuclear program!
Millennium Dawn is back for yet another video and this time around Tommy is going to be playing in the Middle East aka he's going to be playing as Khamenei who is the leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Tommy will try to restore the Persian Empire as well as make some really crazy nukes.
Millennium Dawn has a completely new missile system which also changes the whole nuke system to Hearts of Iron 4 as well.
After the Germany and Japan games, it was about time to play a smaller country and see how they do in the Modern Day Mod for HOI4!

The only thing I don't like about millennium dawn is the colors of the nations, they need some saturation
Video quality was pretty decent. The style of the cuts was a little jarring though. Felt like a prolonged intro

I allready did! But there is problem that u have few tech trees, no satellites or rocked technology-but in 2015 I allready have + 20 2015 satellites for everything and even a nice bunch of all sorts of ballistic missiles.

Syrian anime might be the most cursed focus I have ever seen in HOI4.
we literally distributed anime to all the arab, persian and turkish countries...it's called AL-Zuhra center for dubbing anime to arabic and such...and it made a massive impact on Arab youth that's why Syria has it as a focus

@@coconut7490 It might have to do with Syrian entertainment industry being relatively big due to Syrian TV being very popular in the middle east so it's not surprising at all, infact I cannot see many alternatives, Turkey is first of all Turkish speaking and generally culturally very secluded from the middle east and even politically until very recent times, Iraq has been a mess for some time, Jordan might as well not exist (no offense), gulf countries are oil economies. Egypt, though could've been an alternative, but they actually dub American cartoons.

As an Iranian I appreciate this gameplay. From bringing the Shah back to fighting Saudi…everything is on point.
When he said Khamenei was fighting corruption at the start of the video I choked on my drink. Then he decided to fight the CIA influence and bring the Shah back, and I was like okay that's chill.
A question out of curiosity. You guys prefer Iran as it was before the Ayatollah or like it is now? Socially I mean, of course no one would like it economically.
Plus, as a Catholic it always puzzled me the dilema between Shia and Sunni. I know it goes back hundreds of years, but, is it really that divisive between Muslim, or is more a leadership kind of thing (religious leaders pushing it rather thatn the common people)?

These Modern Day mod videos made me want to play HOI4 again after not playing for 2 years but i played like 1 hour and gave up. so much new shit and with the mod it's even more difficult. feels like i'm learning the game again from scratch. I think imma just stay watching your videos and streams of the mod instead saving me from the trouble hahaha

@@bynflew8552 It's not that hard, you just build up your economy and research industry stuff for a year or two while building influence or starting proxy wars in neighboring countries. The only stuff that is really complicated is building the nukes, launching sattelites, and launching nukes.

It has been pretty underrated for awhile. The only problem is the lag; aside from that, its one of the most comprehensive and original mods. There are so many unique user interfaces to mess around with. The increased division complexity reminds me of a water-downed version of Black Ice, in a good way.

Modern Day mod has huge potential and its really fun to watch
the new update is great, i used to not be able to hardly run the game. now with even more systems in place, it works mostly normally for me. the update was a big one, but my god was it needed. instantly became my favorite HOI4 mod alongside Old World Blues
