Hence the humorous reaction when he tries it on Ken himself.
I like how the dude at the start comes in and tries to convince him to fight by telling him how many styles he knows and how he is different from the others but still ends up getting bodied in the end

I'm wondering if Ken somehow willingly delayed his Hokuto Shinken energy from actually flowing into the dude's body through some extreme mastery (like being able to transmit the energy even when it's the opponent that touches him and not the usual other way around) or something like that, just to be in accordance to the ten seconds the dude actually announced him beforehand.
