#Tesladin #Auradin #D2R - Hry
If I come across 9 Jah runes, I might consider building one...
Gotta set those bots up & get them running.
Hahaha True that!
Yeah, it took me a couple months to end up to trade for one.
Dude. Jahs are extremely easy to find. You just need to farm Chaos, Nilithak, and Baal. For roughly thirty decades. With no sleep, social life, or taking time for stupid things like eating. Just so that and you should be fine!
Farm start of the ladder and use d2jsp. You can get more than 10 jahs worth of stuff in the fist week easily. Then wait week or two and tadaa rune prices dropped and you can afford any build you like. Even decked out pvp characters
Thank You. This was very helpful in building up my Tesladin, obviously done in non-ladder, as it took me a long time to find all those runes.
Always excited to be on the lookout for a new charm-thanks for the vid man!
Loved this! I'm a big fan of Tesladins/Auradins so this is exciting. I want to try out your sundered Auradin, probably with a flickering flame.
Which version is better for playing Ubers?
I know creating a Smiter would be the best, but I don't like playing more than one Char per ladder and want to make it work for all party of the game (except PvP).
flickering flame is a fine cheaper alternative to a 3x facet hat or the rare pally 2x facet one if you want to try the build out but dont want to further burn thru your wealth with buying a few more perfect facets. Flickering flame also gives you the fire res aura so you dont need to wear as many fire res small charms to negate the sunder charm penalty
Ure tesladin build is best.
The second build isn't an auradin its a dragondin, an auradin uses both holy shock and holy fire with conviction as main active then stacks as many auras as possible with the merc to help benefit the player
Thank you! Dragondin/Torchadin was what we called them in LoD. Auaradin is double dream with HoJ and Dragon. Came about from the weapon swap bug where you could infinitely stack the auras to obscene levels and 1 shot everything.
The Auradin uses all 3 Auras Dream shield or helm, Dragon armor or shield, and Doom weapon to get Shock, Fire, and Freeze. What you are mentioning with the Shock and Fire is the DuAuDin.
@@dracconis69 stop making up dumb "-din" names
Auradin is boring as hell, just built one
@@lpawl89 The character that just passively kills everything while you run around is boring? Huh.
Quality video once again, had a feeling those charms would be somewhat 'flashy' :D
Bro, that merc has better gear than the value of everything I've found in D2R, period.
what do u play on
It’s because you’ve tossed 1k gf at a minimum.
Flickering Flame is a great replacement for that dragondin helm. Cheaper and offsets any fire res loss from the sunder charm 👍
I also do clear most TZ with my Dragondin, but I never considered a Faster R/W Diadem, I use a 3 faceted Bone Visage though.
Also great tipp with the Vigor Aura on Act1 merc, haven't considered it, thanks.
And currently also creating a Tesladin, though with Grief, because I'm on non-ladder. You can actually reach the 48 fcr breakoount with a 18FCR amulet and 1 Caster Ring, with dual leech.
Glad to see both Aura dmg Paladins :D
Next will be a Frostdin
Do auras on items where it says "when equipped" adds on from different items and with 2 dragons and 1 HoJ it become lvl44 fire aura? And also do + all skills/pala skills/off auras skills from items increase it even more? Does it work that way ?
@@Braincho Yes to the first, no to the second to my knowledge.
love this new builds mate
Def gonna Start with FoH together with my frost sorc mate, then switch over to dual light pally once i got my FG for trading 2 Jah runes :D. Season planned already :D with the new fire thunder charm i actually do plan to run fire as well, but as its the most expensive build, thats the full endgame goal
Thanks for the amazing guide, cooloey! Always a pleasure to watch your videos!
Great stuff!
This actually got me so hyped! Obviously still gonna start a sorc to farm all that expensive gear tho
I think points in blessed aim might not be needed, conviction gives -90 enemy defense if maxed so it effectively 10x your ar. Also means you only need enough points in zeal for max hits
Another reason why pallys are op.
They can ignore AR, and get max block, and get insane resists, aoe aura damage, and high defense as well.
And they just.keep.making.them.stronger.
@@jprec5174 At first look of a new player Pally is poor boring weak mele char, but when you look deeper... :-)
@@jprec5174 Yeah, but it costs quite a bit to deck out a pally other than a basic zealer or hammerdin.
especially since crescent moon seems to be the build choice for weapon. it has 'ignores target defense'.
Could put a single point in, with +skills might help a bit
Im rocking the tesla/aura/hydradin. Built it for fun didnt have much use, but since t zones I choose it over my other chars for many spots. Currently waiting for ladder to switch going to put plague on merc for even more ownage.
Been a viewer since early DFC - proud of the channel growth and video quality increase my dude. Keep killin it!
Great!! More op paladin builds, needed more of those..
Lmao bruh almost everything got stupidly stronger with these changes. Blizz Sorc is about on par with an hdin now cause you can do literally everything with insane dmg now.
Amythings OP with this amount of gear
I’ve been using a kind of budget version of this build that’s been really strong only using one Dream(Shield). He’s basically a Zealot with massive Physical and Lightning damage, and lots of Dual Leech. The other day when Uber Diablo spawned I was able to beat him down in about 10-20 seconds and had full HP when it was over. I’m just using what I’ve found since July(I do play a LOT) I used an HydraOrb Sorc to get through the game, and then switched to pure Blizzard to farm cows over and over for a lot of the gear. Here’s what it is if you’re interested!
Here’s the gear. Note: I’m only using one dream since I’ve only found 1 Jah so far.
Andy’s Visage w/Ral, Dream in 42 all res Vortex Shield, Grief in phase blade, Fortitude in a really good Scarab Husk I found(kinda ugly but it works!!), Laying of Hands, Gore Riders, Crescent Moon, Dwarf Star, and Raven Frost for rings and amulets. On my off-hand I’m using Herald of Zakarum and Call to Arms in a Crystal Sword. I keep Salvation aura active on the Off-hand for safety, and to help not get mixed up between my Grief/Dream and CtA/HoZ.
So, for skills at level 88 right now: I maxed Resist Lightning and Salvation first for full synergy of Dream’s Holy Shock, then maxed Conviction Aura as our main always on aura, and then I’ve just put points into Holy Shield and Zeal each level up.
Merc is an Act II Desert Merc W/Might Aura, using Tal Rasha’s Helm mainly for Leech and Resistances, Obedience in Eth Thresher, and Treachery in a 450+ defense base. I don’t use him for Arcane or Chaos Sanctuary because he likes to kill the ghosts over the edge 😂.
Anyways, that’s my build! He’s really fun and is safe as long as you don’t stop swinging!! As long as nothing too crazy comes at him. The only thing that’s given me a little trouble was Icy Cellar and Frozen River when I had Vipers, Succubi, and those damn Wisps spawn at the same time, but I think that’s true for most characters.
Great video! Why not War travs instead for tesladin?
i JUST got done with my auradin. HoJ, dragon, dual dream. does about 12k zeal and the pulses are CRAZY! to counter the -res from sunders i plan to put a flickering flame on my merc and a bunch of 10+ lite res sc's. it's extremely fun to play. even got a +3 zeal, +3 conviction caddy wep for the HoJ, found in cows!!
Please note that we will delete unclaimed profiles or profiles that have not been updated in 190 days. profiles not found i think you might consider to update links to maxroll :(
I have some actual budget suggestions for the second build. (though you're right, there's no way around dual Dragons and Hand of Justice being very, very extreme endgame-level expensive.
Peasant Crown for the helm. It has FRW, +1 skills, and can be socketed of course. For gloves, Venom Grip; 5% crushing blow, life steal, and poison resist. Nosferatu's Coil for the belt -- IAS, life steal, mana on kill (assuming this procs from Holy Fire kills), and some bonus strength.
I gotta ask, what do you think will be the best low budget build for these terror zones? I hear cold sorc is going to be nuts, but I never enjoyed sorceress gameplay due to immunes while getting your initial farming gear
Sorc is always the first choice, but second choice may be hammerdin or summon necro
Man that auradin is what I wanted from the start.... Only wish there was a freezadin runeword besides doom.... Something sickeningly satisfying about all mobs on the screen being reduced to snails.
What he is calling an Auradin is actually a Dragondin. An Auradin uses all 3. Dream, Dragon, AND Doom.
So aboit the small charms. Do they stack with the auras? Or just when you hit with melee attacks. Like if I did a poison nova and used the poison charms will it work on nova or only my melee hits?
Nice stuff!
Or you can use holyshock aura as your main aura and use offensive aura skillers. lvl 40+ aura with infinity on your merc and since are not using dreams you can use griffons and exile instead. I've made this build in LoD and it's pretty kickass. Much easier to hit FCR breakpoints when you have griffons equipped and you've got lifetap + defiance from exile so you're more or less unkillable. I did use grief though, this video has inspired me to have another look at the Tesladin.
You remind of the guy that made me realize I have been making my nova sorc wrong. Use the infinity yourself in a scythe. So out of the box but works so well.
Could you post a maxroll link of this build please?
@@briancurrie2897 no 200fcr
The main difference however is that by having 2x dream, its does the aura damage (level 30) twice every pulse. If you are using 2x dragon and hoj you are doing holy fire level 44 damage 3 times every pulse.
Level 30 holy shock : 4-2335 (avg of 1,169)
Level 44 holy fire : 889-2116 (avg of 1,502)
When you look at the numbers they seem somewhat similar and not that high in term of damage. But the fact holyfire is 3 times instead of 2 makes it a lot better for the pulse damage then the dream setup by a MILE. Dont forget that most monsters are -100% resistance so you can also double that damage. The dream setup was more used because its easier to break immunities on the lightning monsters as of right now (and allow you to use a grief/enigma etc..)
Having holy shock as your main aura at level 40 is 4-4595 (avg of 2,299) which is still less than 2,339 (holy shock level 30 damaging twice). So the AOE damage is about the same, you just get more lightning damage on your zeal put you lose a higher conviction aura.
@@jackp0t888 Why are you not factoring in a griffons + infinity when using a lvl 40 aura... and potentially a crescent moon too?
Infinity + griffon will put most monsters at -100 res. Having more negative res is only better versus immune monsters.
Dream setup is -150 negative res and a lvl 30 aura.
My suggested setup is -110 negative res and a lvl 40ish aura.
It's a difference of 40 res that doesn't matter against the majority of monsters.
Hey Coooley, have you tried an actual, pure aura din? Like stacking the living fuck out of +levels including charms and really going all out on just straight up aura damage (maxing aura synergies, etc)? If so, how good did it turn out for P1 play on live servers.
During first PTR I remember there was no point using conviction because fire aura was killing monsters before conv procs. It could be even faster to clear with another fire aura set as skill.
Conviction is only worth it for the -defense% for melee ele pally builds now.
Its much cheaper to just build a holy X build. Ofc dual dream tesladin is the best but clearly an end game achievement
I came up with almost the same build on d2 char planner before this :p im gonna make an auradin also, but my build is slightly different than urs. Also if you slap on Flickering Flame on merc youd get the fire res aura from her right? (even tho youd be relying on that somewhat then) :)
I did a budget tesladin last year for fun, skipped dream and leveled holy shock + synergies, used offensive skill charms and murder everything even without infinity. Just crescent moon phase blade, treachery, Andy's Visage, herald of Zak. 10k lightning zeal damage, 3k lighting pulse damage.
Even without infinity it was fun and very doable for most areas. Sunder charm will make that budget build even better.
Would you say its stronger for PVM than a standard physical zealer using essentially the same gear but with grief instead?
@@CommanderReplay In some ways yes, in other ways no. Since physical damage is pretty low, life leeching isn't that good and I find myself having to pop potions occasionally. The good is being able to zap most mobs and comfortably kill anything for the most part but there are some compromises that make it a little less tanky compared to a zealer.
It's so much fun though playing as a regular, non "cookie cutter" tesladin with no GG gear demands. It opens up a lot more gear variety even though you sacrifice skill investment on synergies instead of conviction Aura. Crescent moon phase blade is just absolutely cheap and fun, and the lightning proc is satisfying when surrounded by mobs.
Traditional synergy based tesladin is highly underrated in overall value and playability. I've always been a fanaticism zealer traditionally since the 02' days but this is my new fav.
@@Pruflas-Watts Very cool. Thanks for the insight! I might give this a try this season. I also like to run a little bit off meta, I typically run a MF zealer setup with tals helm, chest, and belt and rhyme as my shield. I run a lot of trav, pits and WSK, and do a lot of ancients and Dclone killing for people (usually going for Gface for a little more CB). But this season I am thinking about trying out a gold find zealer for trav and seeing if i can gamble my way into wealth. I was trying to find a stormlash late in this season cause I wanted to mess around with the static field triggers, but its such a hard item to find.
Looks cool and mega strong, but as a first build this will be difficult to achive. Super expencive.
Will be doing the cold sorc for my first this patch. Been a while since i've done a cold sorc due to immunities so the new sunder charm makes me want to build one again.
Not made a tesladin, but i guess that will be the choice if i go for that. Looks like it got some massive damage. How does draculs fit into this? Can you make yourself invincible with life tap and zeal?
Another thing you can do for the dragondin is put a phoenix on. Your fire aura will be the same as tesla but can have higher physical damage, save some points on conviction and better survivability in pvm. Could also go higher physical damage for pvp if you opt for a 460+ ed phoenix.
Are these really faster than a decked out hammerdin or FoHer running p8? I would love to see someone geared out doing time comparisons.
Since d2r release i did not play paladin yet......i think it the time now :). thx for the video Coooley!!!
was there a reasosn for light plate enigma? or just what u had around back then
what would be the best starting class/build with basic/low end gears in the upcoming ladder to farm terror zones as soon as possible coooley pls help!~
What happens If you go pure aura build with hand of justice dragon dual dreams and both fire and light sunder charms? I have a non ladder auradin from last season I wanna grab charms for to bring back at seasons end if it's worth it
Im so excited for this.
Is it sure that conviction doesnt need to go through the 1/5 effectiveness vs immunity monsters?? After sundering charm
DUDE!! NICE!
Those crafted gloves and belt were sick.
Those are hacked items on hero editor
I've been making sunder-centric characters on maxroll since they've come out. Got some crazy ideas for hybrids. Dual-dreams compliments fohdin super well, and 2x dragon/2x dream is pretty vicious too. Some of the stats on gear I'd say are better as 1/2 and 1/2. Also, metalgrid on Beast makes it so you can wield fcr gear and not need ias (arach and magefist/trang vs ias from belt/ammy/gloves. Fanat ias is better than off-weapon!)
Based on some of the stats from maxroll (dps namely), I still think grief is better than Crescent moon. I'm really curious to try live in game, though. Wayyyy cheaper than grief at start of ladder!
And although I don't want elemental charms to skyrocket in value, I do appreciate you mentioning it. I think there are many items that wouldn't be so rare/valuable if people just picked them up and didn't Charsi!
"...and 2x dragon/2x dream is pretty vicious too" You have just described the DuAuDin ;)
Does the elemental damage on striking double with deadly strike like it did on LoD?.
On the old ladder I used to build a holy shock pally with headstriker sword for the deadly strike
Do cows dies in 1 aura tick or some high areas like Stony tomb or Arachid lair for example?
i like the tesladin that runs principle for that holy bolt damage(max fist of heavens to buff that holy bolt), he uses an act 3 merc for enchant
HOLY-SHI...SHOCK!
This is my favorite Paladin build, while not the most popular one as many seems to play as a Hammerdin.
I am so glad that they included the Sunder charms for the game that breaks lightning immunity.
Very tempting! Looks quite expensive though, not sure how much time (and/or money) I need to invest to pull this off.
Drop the garbage Dreams for a griffon and a 4faceted shield and max Holy Shock. Use infinity merc. You get a 15ish level higher HS and 40% lightning mastery for -20 less resist. That has been my zealot build for 2-3 years and puts double dream to shame with 25k damage hits. I use +3 HS Beast caddy, coz its cute, but crescent moon is workable too.
Nice build dude. Im trying to find both a paladina that cleans everything on walking, and also a good zealot. You problably made a build that mix both of them. Hows the area damage? Seems sweet.
How does it perform on P8?
Wait- at -92% def from conviction, whats the need for AR? Am I missing something?
How does this auradin compare to an equivalent sorc with sunder charm, Flickering Flame, max enchant and FM and ES dual dragon and either HOJ or Passion...? Infinity merc. You get natural tele so you don't need to miss 'nigma and you can also put points into hydra synergies for the hydra procs, even the firestorm procs from torch will prob do decent damage...? 🤔
Works good in Uber, tho. Ripped through it using Crescent moon. Baal was kinda slow because of 54% hit chance, but you can just swap for smite on him. Also i stacked 95 lightning res (yes, i use sundering charm for lightning too)
Do you need to put points into conviction if you sunder lightning?
Does charms fire dmg gets added to aura tick for the Dragondin?
On the auradin, why not use an amulet with teleport charges?
great video
4:18 lmao that ring
Fire! Fire!!
Have everything for this on SC, may just consider switching around my aura
Good god those gloves and belt 😮
What kind of mad Genius would even think of Cat's Eye and Harmony? Brilliant!
I'm running the tesladin but I got the great idea to use an act 5 merc with dual hand of justice phase blades a dragon body and a delirium bone visage helm essential making him a holy fire auradin barb with a total lvl 46 holy fire aura
I did that on 2.4 PTR. Gave him flickering flame so he has more minus fire. It was pretty solid
And how is the dmg without both synergies?
@@Trollolololol1337 Its fine, the aura is minimal. However the added firedmg to strike with conviction + -fireres is really nice. I'd argue its up there with grief on the merc. In PTR he was slapping everything on P1 no problem
@@mstrSparkles So when the biggest part of his dmg is fire, he isn't leeching that, right?
Hell yeah. I want to build an auradin but I’d really need to be milking those zones for the Hr’s
Would it be worth to build a Tesladin with an Act3 merc running Holy Fire setup?
Did they change immunity breaking? I remember resist reduction only being 20% effective on immune monsters. So 150% light reduction would reduce their res by 30%.
been digging the chats with sweetphil
The d2planner links in the description of the video are broken.
I think one of the items is a light damage prefix and suffix. Maybe it would be 1-98 lightning damage or sumthing?
HoJ on crappy war scepter, Dream helm/(shield) dragon armor/(shield) BK ring x2, verdungo's belt, highlords ammy, war travs on swap 4/5 cta, perfect spirit (targe) Maxed salvation, holy fire, 14 into holy shock, 18 points into conviction, 10 into holy shield. he has been wrecking terror zones / dclone terror zones at lvl 87 i dont have the charms yet for this build but know i know what i am looking for thank you Cooley i agree this wasnt cheep.
is it possible to wield dragon armor shield and HOJ
with lightning aura just from skills? so you use lightning instead of conviction? Conviction on act 2 merc
so you get 44 fire aura + whatever youre able to max lightning aura. anihilus + torch + 20 hard points is a minimum of 24. Helmet probably shaco with also 2 levels. Cna someone dive into this?
after some feedbacks any changes gonna be made? want to try it out
I just watched dbrunksi video and wouldn't Rising Sun be better for your Auradin? Seems like a slam dunk choice against cat's eye. And you can compensate for FRW loss by taking FRW small charms (instead of resist ones, because you won't need fire resist).
I just started the video, so I'm guessing that the items are small charm with elemental damage, like 1-30lightning damage sc
Running Soul Drainers gloves can also be a good option with both mana and life leech
Would HoJ, flickering flame, dragon armor///shield be good on a3 merc while you run Tesla?
the merc dont have sinnergies to increase the aura dmg so it doesnt get too high
How long grind does it take to get last wish?
how do you put equiptment on the mercs?
I have an Auradin on current ladder and it absolutely rips. Doesnt need sunder charms at all whatsoever. Also id suggest skipping the faster run walk ammy and belt and move towards the traditional Highlords ammy and a Nosferatu belt so you can hit max IAS. Use charge to move around quickly when needed. I also went with an A3 fire merc for massive Enchant so you get the AR needed for bosses. Doubled the cost of the build doing that but it was well worth the investment for team and even solo gameplay. Currently shows 12k tooltip DPS so 60k per Zeal of raw damage not factoring in Conviction.
For the Tesladin, I wouldn't waste skill points to raise attack rating. Conviction gives more than -90 enemy defense. Just go into sacrifice and then zeal.
would it work well enough to have both build at once? (i mean 2 dreams, dragon armor and Hoj and synergise both fire and light fully)
When you don't have immunities in the game anymore, thanks to the newly added sunder charms, going dual element makes absolutely no sense.
Hey Cooley man I was wondering what you think about the new shockwave druid?
Man I have a build you may be interested into trying but I know your're busy: I was thinking
Shockwave/Maul hybrid
Shockwave usage- Hoto, spirit, jala, arach, Bk rings, highlords (maybe), laying of hands gloves, shape shift GCs
On Switch when Maul Proc: GreifZ and phoneix or another weapon?
Merc: Reapers toll? Blessed Aim for AR?
Skills: Max: shockwave/Maul/Grizzly/Dire wolf
HOA-5 to 10 points for life or WereBear for life since you wont use CTA or HOW for more AR since you will need more AR
What you think if you dont mind me asking? Haven't found anyone to even try!
at 3:30 you talk about the difference between kingslayer and last wish and the difference was that KS had prevent monster heal, But as far as i see it they both have prevent monster heal no? @coooley
ive never built any kind of paladins besides hammers / smiters....i would love to try something different and auradin would be awesome!
LAWLZ ..... Coooley..... Dont ever change..
Nice setup, have we tried to do cows with auradin but with infinity merc and maxing out holy shock. Would that one shot cows now?
Hard points into the aura dont stack with the aura given from items. It only takes the higher one.
@@ln8496 he doesn't wanna use dream, probably griffon (or flickering flame) and fire aura setup, infinity on merc and maxed his own holy shock aura manually.
Is AR really that necessary? Conviction basically negates enemy armor as well as resistance, so only the lvl is taken into account.
thoughts on using Flickering Flame for Auradin? more -Enemy Fire res and +Fire dmg i believe.
It's not bad. I think you'll miss the FRW though
I cannot afford the budget version. Do you have a budget budget budget version?
one thing imho.... Orphan's Call's Belt is a real sleeper pick cause it has dual leech
The ptr version of the tesladin was fairly "budget" and really fun to play tbh.
I think the small charms will be added lightning damage. They provided massive damage boosts to melee sorcs because lightning mastery multiplied them, but for the tesladin I’m assuming you are just going all in with lightning damage because of sundered charm and -res not suffering from the 1/5th penalty.
Yes, light res is key, but if you can sneak in some damage it helps. My damage is 9k but I'm max res. Damage is the extra for this build. Res first then throw in damage. Full res and no boost I make 9k damage every hit.
Res first, then damage.
I was thinking what if I use act3 merc with 2xdragon and hoj on it with 2 facets on his helm? I m checking d2planner, but don't really know if sunder charm is helping my merc dmg or not.
It isn't. It will remove immunity from text but will still do no damage to immune mobs.
Made a tesladin and it's a lot of fun to run. Just wish splash damage was a thing so so much.
Project Diablo 2 enjoyer too?
@@thenihilanth3382 damn right man, amazing mod.
To simulate splash damage you can do a few things. First get an act 1 merc with a mistbow for the pierce, she will absolutely clean up. Second, you can use stormlash as your main weapon. The single target damage is quite a bit lower than grief, but its still reasonable kill speed and you get the AOE from static.
yo cooley man you exposed my charms i been hoarding fire and lighting damage charms for a cool while now man and people have been sleeping on these forever but i have yet to find THAT SHOCKING STORMS how the F^%$^%$# does this player HAVE THAT MANY!?!?! these charms are rare as rare gets... this is coming from someone who should be a d2 streamer as well i had history on uswest lod.... i had zbugged rust storm arreats and 108 arreats . 108 valk. 108 shako. 108 arkaines. and last but not least a Zbugged ECBBQ... d2 was my main man game i even went through the ith weapons and white rings and hex charms etc... my barb was known back then Savage-Stoner lvl 99. lastly gotta say out of brunski and lama i enjoy your d2 content the most man. keep up the hard work man props
Hell yeah!
i am going trap sin for the next ladder ,but this looks sick :)
What about Teslasin with a3 merc going auradin?
How about Flickering Flame for merc?^^
yoo fam i started trappin out to that beat at the end
Im rocking auradin with dual dreams. Its dmg rocks just walk and things die
