What about all the USA companies listening in to everything we say and looking through all our emails? Aren’t Google, Amazon, Microsoft and all the tech companies doing the same thing to us that we blame China is doing? Our government seems powerless to control these companies from doing this to us right now. And humongous companies outsource their tech support to other countries like India and others. I was raised in Highland, CA, and went to Lankershim Elementary School. Many of my friend's lived on Norton AFB, and their parents were officers. We used to go to the officer's swimming pool and swim all day long. The parents had to call the guards on post beforehand to let me on base. I lived on McKinley street l, before it became a shithole neighborhood, and I'd ride my bike to the base to meet my friends and go swimming. Also, my elder brother was a GALAXY C5 PILOT and would fly into Norton AFB on occasion and stay at our house.

When it comes to Asian culture, they don’t have a problem with sacrificing security for economic prosperity.

Yes, I lived in Singapore and I have been to a lot of Asian countries, particularly East Asia and Southeast Asia, so I know the culture and mindset of the region. The population has no problem submitting to authority (government).

Mohan Zhang Since the CCP has given their approval to the program that took body organs from at least 200,000 people without their consent (only 37 registered organ donors in China in 2015. Also see:”Bloody Harvest” report) and since China has a poor human rights history and is known to treat political prisoners harshly and to practice censorship it seems to me that they (CCP) might see their political interests served by harming Melissa Chen . Were that to happen, I expect it would intimidate other journalists who cover China. The journalist kashiogi was murdered recently by Saudi Arabia. Daniel Pearl got decapitated just perusing an interview with a known twrrorist. So,yes journalists like Melissa Chen are brave.
