Fascinating historical site! And free audio guide, so even better!
Yes we are so glad we got to see the fort. So interesting and really ties in with all of the places we saw in Portugal too. 👍
Informative video. Enjoyed. Looking forward to see more videos of different countries. Highly appreciate your efforts. Thanks.
That's such a lovely comment, Sanjev, thank you. There'll be a few more Bahrain videos, then we'll be leaving the Middle East! We appreciate your kind words and support 🙏 🤗
I grew up in Bahrain and know the fort well, I've visited many times. Looks as though its6been modified since I was last there back in 1979!
Hello Alice! It's so lovely to hear from you, and to find out that you grew up in Bahrain! We had an amazing time there, and will be making at least another 3 videos, so I hope they'll bring back fond memories. It will be interesting to hear how much everything has changed. Wishing you and your excellent channel all the best 😃🤗

If you like Formula One races soon, there will be a race and there is also a water park near the Formula and behind them is the beach of Algeria.
they are not there anymore I think they said it somewhere in the comment section if I'm not mistaken. Have you ever attend grand prix there??

Hi Mandy & Lee,
How sad to see Portugal so "poor" despite all the discoveries / battles /conquest.
That fort is surely an attraction in Bahrain, well maintained / redone.
In regards to the Happy Hour burger deal, that's pretty impressive what you got for the money.
Wishing you guys a lovely weekend down under, take care 😎
Hello SERGIO and thank you for your great comment.
It was actually so lovely to explore the Fort, as it took us straight back to our wonderful time in Portugal. It is quite rightly a major attraction in Bahrain, and it's excellent that admission with an audioguide is free!
We had a brilliant time in Bahrain, and I hope the upcoming videos reflect that.
Have a wonderful week! 😃🤗

Were the florr ridges in the ruins to do with underfloor heating like the Romans did?
@@PlanetImo Such a great guess though! I was completely wrong with my guess 😃🤣 ~ Mandy
I wonder if you visited Oman imo it's the best tourism country in the Arab gulf area
And btw Oman was the country that mainly fought off the Portuguese in the gulf, and they took that fight eventually into East Africa during the 17Th century.
I am glad that you're enjoying your time in the middle east, hope you will try also other regions in the middle east-north Africa area of the world.
Thank you so much 🙏. We visited Oman in 2016 so didn't go on this trip unfortunately and we were not filming back then. We only explored Muscat and the areas around it but really enjoyed our time there. I'd love to return and see more one day. Again we met so many kind and friendly people there who all made us feel very welcome. ❤️
Why the Indian music? Sounds weird to me, as I am from that region.
We tend to chose songs that we like so it tends to be an eclectic mix across our videos.
Arab country but indian music 😂😂😂😂😂
We really liked the song 😃😊 Thank you so much for your comment 🙏🤗
I’ve had friends enter Bahrain 🇧🇭 via the causeway and they got no passport stamp. Paid the $16 or so for the visa. Might come here via Dammam
Hi Martin. It's a great way to arrive in Bahrain across the causeway. We hitch hiked there and showed the journey in a previous video. It cost 5 dinar ($13) for a 14 day visa. If you fly in you get 30 days. 👍
We hope you enjoyed this video 😃😊 If you'd like to see more of our Bahrain series, check out this playlist:
