Hey WEC, post more "full battle" videos with onboards, racecams, top 10's etc. Like F1 does with their social media. You guys have an unbelievable potential in my opinion
also they need to focus MORE on the action especially the Hypercars, most people tune I to watch the blue ribben class and not washed up journeymen in GTE-am or lmp2. Anthony Davidson did an amazing job behind the mic due to his F1 pundit background but the others are awful constantly gossiping and not calling the action on track, WEC need to take lessons from liberty media and Dorna Sports on how to keep the audience engaged.
@@Adlata yeah. F1 make content with EVERYTHING. And, of course, it is the number 1 category in the world, it's historical, but it is one class. WEC have 3 + the Multiclass dynamic. For example: a great video with the "dramas" or something: Corvette drama, good race for Peugeot, Ferrari discussion, P2 battle with traffic... This things need to be a separated content on social media... WITH ONBOARDS AND RADIOS.

Hype yes but the BoP is just not good enough if a team can pull 2sec a lap away. IMSA was much better at long beach hopefully Le Mans will be chaos
toyota will win, with a 90% prob its gona be 1 -2 for the team. No other Hy in the same lap :)

For all the people who complained about WEC being too slow to release the highlights, the ful race or this or that... WEC have been amazing! Thank your for this video since I could not attend this years race here in my country (Portugal). I watched the race later at Eurosport and now I will watch this so many thanks! :D

Well, they were pretty slow to release highlights for the first race, this one was much quicker.
Big advantage is that WEC actually does post the full race instead of just highlights

Only because their first year was abysmal... they're still the slowest Hypercar, and can't beat the IMSA cars.

WEC, Here's an idea:
In addition to highlights like this, also make:
1. Highlights, top onboard and team radio, and top 5 battles exclusively for Hypercar, LMP2 and GT Class, each INDIVIDUALLY
2. Upload them 1 to 1.5 days apart after each race to get more people watching on your content and extend engagement until the next race weekend
3. Provide historical highlights from races from earlier years of the series leading to the next race weekend
That should boost your series's popularity.

I don't agree with first 2, it would mean mostly one video would get many views, that's why F3 and F2 races highlights have less views than F1.
@@garbage2882 well F2 and F3 are supporting races to F1; LMP2 and GTE aren't for WEC. Also I don't see a problem with other classes having less views than the Hypercar. That's really isn't a problem at all. What's there to lose. More content, for each class, more engagement.
@@aaronwestley3239 F2 and F3 aren't supporting races, they are junior categories, like different categories for Rally other than WRC, a more mixed highlights video would show people only interested in one category, that they might also like different ones

Chevrolet is doing weirdly well this year, and I'm very happy about that. Hopefully they have good luck during the rest of the season and at Le Mans.

I remember years ago WEC sent me a survey to give my opinions on what i wanted to see in motorsport. It makes me so happy to see such healthy competition developing here now, its evident they have realised what the motorsport world has been missing!
after seeing this, i think i want to get into the WEC now. the battle in lmph and gt am was insane and the fact that 5 different manufacturers finish in top 5 speaks a lot. you have got my attention WEC.. ill be watching closer now... especially at le mans 2023

Nope. Some of us won't forget the competition is manufactured via BoP. I'd rather have one car dominating just because they built the best, not close competition because FIA is slowing down the best.

I guess this year might be Toyota year again, because others competitor are just on their first year, so they need to work & tweak the car to unlock the potentials. Not sure about next year, but competition should be improved, because BMW also planned to join.

Was at IMSA Long Beach Grand Prix when this WEC Portugal race was being run, with the Cadillacs looking good just like in the WEC...

Damn , this race shows that gte has the best competition, it is also soo faster than the gt3, so sad it is not on next year . RIP GTE
They are only like 2 or 3 seconds quicker than GTE cars depending on BoP and track, I doubt you will notice the difference.
