This is my first time I take out the Pard DS35-70 and Pixfra CF650 to tackle some camels at night, it's my first time trying it out, and my filming is not that great, I'll see how much better I can do in future releases.
Thanks to @AustralianSportingAgencies for supporting the channel @goingdark1187
Man.. the sound of that “faucet” running…
Yea that was pretty epic. But you know they say that blood makes the grass grow green.
I'm a shooter, we have annoying outbreaks of rats and rabbits. Only in Australia would you have outbreaks and infestations of 1/2 ton animals like this ;-) Great channel!
Another good video jack, you really have your work cut out with those camels, its marvellous where they keep coming from,
Nice work but frustrating the camels would not move.
I think the Dream Team we all want to see is Jack teamed up with Nathan / Edge of the Outback and with Rodney from RJM Hunting. What a camel cleanup crew that would be.
I read your post and thought about
Tim Wells, The Slock Master of Relentless Pursuit, might wanna let loose some arrows, or chuck a few spears!
@@WaterburnerActual I had to stop watching RP as it was full of so much crap and BS. talk about padding out videos for content SMH
@@AlsTube2008
Yeah, there is the same ad on the RP series videos of late. I will scroll past the ads, as I am a purchaser of some of the products.
What has become irritating is the repetition. For argument sake let's say a new episode of a series is posted and it's 12m in duration. It seems like the new content is maybe 4m. That means there's 8m of Intro/ads/replays/Outro.
I'm thinking this approach to new episodes may result in subs bypassing the video completely. Opposite of desired results.
We'll see if their approach changes with new, non-episode videos, getting back to videos having more subject matter content than 'stuff' to extend the length of the video so it will result in higher payment.
God dang jack that sound like a faucet a few pools of blood there mate this is why I’m subscribed
First rabbit for while! Good shot! It should be in the slow cooker though. We farmers live off the land after all. I know my wildlife lives in fear!!😅
Yuck.
Hare only here.
Thanks again for taking care of the camels.
great video . many Thousands to deal with . people need to Remember the Camels were introduced to Australia and then let loose
They are a pain but they were first used as work animals
A lot of work Jack, keep at it you will figure this all out.My best to you and family
Hard work! If it was easy everybody would be doing it! 👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
I’ve been watching you for some time, I would’ve never thought camels would be such a burden and I’m amazed at the number of them. That’s just insane. It’s like the more you kill even more appear.
Impressive. Shame the nanny state won't let you have a big/normal mag and surpressor...
Jack, my QOL took a hit during your vacation from filming! I'm happy to see you back! 😀
Need a bull whip mate…. That’ll get ‘em moving!! Love the “running tap” after the “double tap”
NICE TO SEE THE THERMAL VIDEOS ! 👍
Been going through the channel for a good week or two now, Australia looks pretty damn wild. This is a pretty cool perspective and I'm really looking forward to seeing where the channel goes! Also, really enjoying the scope cam, bud.
plastic shopping bag tied to the end of a stick shake it like a fan always got the stock moving at live exports in 2003 port adelaide
aw what aaa bugger , the cattle don't like the smell of blood and play up somewhat. At least the buggers wont come back ah , good stuff.👍
Jees! They're bloody tough to unalive
How good are thermals 😍😍
Great work on the pest control.
I just hope that wasn't the Easter bunny.
Hey Jack
You can get 10 shot mags for the Verney now fyi.
@Jack Out The Back Give white hot a try as it is generally better for ID and doesn't blind you as much. also with the NV scope. if you can align your illuminator you will have a full picture in your scope instead of the top half or sides being dark.
Given how reluctant the camels were to move night time eradication might prove to be very effective and save walking/running/ driving KMs are running camels. Keep up the great work. Loved the channel since the first video.
Ever thought of putting a hunting seat on the back of the ute . Like we use in south africa for culling , sometimes called a jackel seat
Rifle is in basically a bench rest set up and together with the seat can rotate 360 degrees
Usually animals are attracted to the light maybe have the torch shining at them out the exit (Milwaukee tripod led light stand) , and then pop them off with red filter or your night vision equipment.
Jack...they are scared of the dark
No they aren't, they do most of their walking in the cool of the night and pull up in the shade during the day.
dang, that didn't work the way you wanted. Fun to watch.
Guided camels hunts?
Damn them things are bulletproof.
Amazing work
good job from south dakota in the usa
It seems like they just absolutely didn't want to fuck off...
Dang haha animals are crazy cows too
If you are so " bothered" by it, then why are you watching??? 😅😅😅
You are one badass hombre.
💪🏽👍🏽
Mate question .. does a different colour lenses work on camels?? Like red ??? Or just white light and they will just stand to a white light
How's the wild dog numbers ......any
What did we learn, well camels don't live moving at night. Maybe that's good to know. Night hunting?
He gave them plenty of warning in his defense and they got what was coming
Seems like camels don’t exactly have the best sense of self preservation, they tend to just stand their and take it most of the time you shoot at them.
At night most animals can’t see the danger right in front of them and they stick with the herd. Just like democrat voters in the USA.
Your rifle reminds me of weapons in Far Cry 2, when you need to repair them or they blow up...
Thermal long range drone is next...with a screen in the ute ;-)
They know the grim reaper is waiting for them out there.
Given the cost of 308 ammo...that's a very expensive rabbit.
The circular reticle is almost useless with that heat signature from the camel. That designed for a rat, straight crosshairs might be a better option for the viewers
Just another thought bit of wire in a circle about 8 inch round .. now put a hole in about 12 jam lids/tins put them on the wire use as a rattle .. mate uses this to move sheep cattle/ in yards instead of dogs????
What do you guys do with the bodies? And are camels good eating?
Doesn’t get much darker than the Outback at night does it? Pitch black
So do your vids get demonetised when you show claret as edge of the outback says happens to him
Cattle prod perhaps.??
It was a bit untidy!
The best made plans of mice and men.
Tks for another great video. Too bad ya didn't have a Hot Shot. Maybe a bight from the dual prongs on their azzrez would've sent them thru the hole and out of the pen. I know surely steers and cantankerous heifers will change their attitudes after a zap or two from a Hot Shot, and move where they need to go. At least this way, ya won't havta chase em all over the Outback. Localization may be better.
Good luck. Take Care and Stay SAFE!!
I understand what you are saying not ur fault bud
Gotta do what ya gotta do. Have you tried a flag to move them like cattle?
Maybe some type of horn would work
Odd question but what’s camel taste like? Anyone
Just like beef
Hey since they are SOO dense could you use that lighter wand to prod them out of the pen or is it too dangerous to get in with them?
I fuckin love this channel lmao
❤❤❤❤
oh well use the grader to haul em out
what caliber do you use and bullet?
have you tried a road train air horn (or something similar) to move them?
Jeez those things are dumb. Looks like a total pain to deal with
Not got a huntaway?
Do you have access to subsonic rounds? Maybe that would be a sufficient alternative to suppressors
Not really subsonics without a suppressor still has a large muzzle blast
Edge of the outback etc would soon put an enormous dent in these problem feral animals
Aren't you afraid of stepping on a snake in the dark?
Exactly what I was thinking 😂
No not really, never seen a snake at night mate.
Yowies give me the heebee jeebees though...
That was a hare not a rabbit, if you have ever eaten both you will definitely taste the difference. 😂
Not a Hare, best get your eyes checked!
he dont have hares in australia
@@Juggling_necromancer we do!!
It's weird that they just stand there waiting to be shot
What was the muzzle device in this video?
Why not have some hunters come and pay to do this work like a management hunt?
Do you all not have semi auto rifles
No. Unfortunately. Especially here in Western Australia. They are very anti shooter , shooting and firearms.
Looks like yr outa Space there
With them standing in a row, i wonder how many you could get with one shit 🤔
Im suprised they let you have thermals is Australia, you know they're scary and all.
01:05 - a big ' Thank You ' from the local carnivores (hopefully Wedgies & not foxes..) 😁
Can you sell the camel meat or live camels!?
I am sure of one thing! Though maybe necessary, THIS WILL NEVER BE A SPORT!
TRY getting them with a bow is a challange
They aren't that easy during the day.
Less talk, more carnage, please mate.
You have to be careful about showing blood on your vids, YT will give you a strike if some wanker complaints about it
That was the worst hunting video I've seen in a long time.
If I'm going to try out new technology, I'll do it first at home before I annoy my members with blurry pictures.
Added to this is the constant rack rack, click, because the weapon is obviously not working properly or is not being loaded properly.
Poor camels and poor rabbit.
It's culling not hunting, learn the difference.
@boarhunter8685 the racking sound comes from the reloading which is pump action. The only malfunction is the aussie gun laws making him use this instead of a semi
Poor little snowflake if u don't like it don't watch it go play with yr Barbie dolls instead it's a culling vid not a hunting vid
1. It's culling NOT hunting
2. This is a channel about a working cattle station NOT a shooting channel.
3. When there is a job to do he just has to get it done even if it means trying new equipment, and the footage is just a bonus.
4. Back in your box and try to be constructive instead of a jerk.
Can you post a link to your hunting vidio please. I want to compare a good and informative vidio about night culling with the worst. Thankyou.
You should collaborate with Matt over at AirArmsHunting SA youtube.com/@AirArmsHuntingSA?si=qx-HJSbAFiK70TyX He would be a great kicker for your show, he travels all over the world doing different hunting, powder and air. Some of the FX air guns are using slugs and getting some serious distance. While not for camels, everything else is on the table, the costs for shooting PCP air guns is a fraction of the powder costs and no pesky govt intervention.
A Qn? Have you ever been charged by a Camel bull?
My thoughts on light would be a white torch on the ground pointing to freedom with your mounted torch having a red filter. Red refracts off everyfriggin thing and your night sight will be affected less.
☮️🇦🇺🫥✨ J 16:40 yep. I couldn’t do the strobe.
I've been butted and kicked by camels, had the full head swing hit me in the arm once.
I've only been charged once, I won...
The strobe was a last ditch, I had the light showing freedom, but they came running back into the yards when they got to the edge of the light. I was really frustrated! I had spent an hour and a half working on them.
I am amazed at the 🐪 numbers and the consistent numbers. Is there a holy grail breeding area / meeting point? Get em prior to them getting to your water points.
@@YenZenBamboo Yeah mate - the holy grail breeding area/meeting point goes from about Broome to Broken Hill, if you're not an Aussie check it out on a map of Australia.
Yes Mate I am Australian and have worked in the desert and graded dunes. No camels where I was working though.
