I'm pretty sure they shot this video in Avi's apartment. He's the bass in cornrows. Kevin, the beatboxer, tried wearing blue contacts like the rest of them but couldn't handle the irritation. You can see how red some of their eyes are during their closeups, especially Avi. So that's why Kevin is in goggles that look like they're from the year 2150 lol. They made this video themselves for around $400 and it won them the 1st of their now 3 Grammy's.

If you want to dig into more acapella, and particularly the bass end of it, the 3 big ones going 'round the net lately are Avi Kaplan (formerly of Pentatonix, but now does some solo/non-acapella - check out "Change on the Rise"), Tim Faust (Home Free, you just saw them), and Geoff Castellucci.
Geoff does work with Voiceplay (their "Oogie Boogie" song is perfect for Halloween!), but also does solo mixes with himself. These videos are SUPER impressive for both Geoff's range (I think it borders on 5 octaves), and the technical skill to edit (visually as well as musically) 4 or 5 part harmonies and make it look smooth - "Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold" is a STUNNING rendition!

People are going to be really sad if you don't do the live version as a reaction, too 😅
You actually named it right - Daft Punk is a "mashup". Technically speaking, a "medley" is one song right after another and a mashup is when the songs are entertwined together. So the Evolutions are medleys and Daft Punk is one of their mashups. And they have quite a few really spectacular mashups where they basically made one new song out of two... like La La Latch (La La La and Latch, songs by two different groups but both originally sung by Sam Smith) and New Rules x Are You That Somebody? (Dua Lipa x Aaliyah/Timbaland). A good one without a video is Despacito x Shape Of You.

Yeah, great song. You can catch this same song sung without microphones, recorded on a cell phone. The live version is better because a beatboxer should have a microphone. Also, if you watch their Iconic Bohemian Rhapsody, then you can call your self a Pentaholic, if you want to. great reaction. 😁😁😎
