We did this one with my family from Canada. I replaced coconut cream for my coconut limeade with homemade lime sherbet ‘cause I’m not a fan of coconut. So, that also means that I skipped dessert.

We love Encanto! The arepas look so good, and easy to make! We'll definitely try them.

Noo! The arepas are made with queso in the masa. Also inside it's made with it in and it's grilled with butter. 🤦🏽‍♀️ This is like Rachel Ray's Pozole. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Ay dios mio.

Thanks! I'll have to try that way! Sounds similar to the Bunuelos where you at the cheese to the dough? I was taught this way by my BIL who is Venezuelan so this is the only way I know how to make them

I am Venezuelan. And these arepas are 100% VENEZUELAN, which is Great!
There are many south-american countries as El Salvador (pupusas), Venezuela, Ecuador, Colombia that have tradicional recipes about diferent kind of arepas.
In the Colombian Caribean Coast, for example, they prepare "Arepa De huevo" (Egg Arepa) which is DELICIOUS!
There are so many forms to eat arepas, all valids, DELICIOUS and TRADITIONAL.

@@eumeliadecena7695 I was thinking that hers were more of a Venezuelan style as well. My husband is Colombian and we have a lot of Colombian food here.
