Exactly! Since there is only one Savior, there has always been only ONE WAY of salvation (Acts 4:12; 15:11, Rom. 3:30, Eph. 4:5-6). Therefore, what was the ONLY GOSPEL that the thief on the cross could have ever possibly obeyed?

Our sins, the believers in the works of Jesus, with His blood shed on the cross our sin was/are transfered into his blood. Just like the animal's blood in the sacrificial process of the Old Testament. The difference with the sacrifice with jesus is he was both the sacrifice and the head priest. What removes sin in the Church age, age of Faith is having the blood which contains the sin/s sacrificed on one of the two Ark of the Covenants Mercy seats. Jesus in Hebrews 9:11-28 takes up his blood that was shed to sacrifice it there in the Heavenly Tabernacle and also sacrificed on the Mercy Seat. This is the moment to the start of the New Testament Covenant.
Important to note, when God sees his believers, looks down on us, instead of seeing our sin nature, He sees Christ's blood that covers us. God see Christ's blood which Jesus shed to purchase us with. Christ's blood washes away our sins. Not the death on the cross though the cross was one of the means to the sacrifice.

All scripture isn't to you. It is all for you, for doctrine. But if your doctrine includes those things taught specifically for Israel, you got the wrong doctrine. Paul established his doctrine for this Dispensation of Grace, in the Book of Romans.
There is only one Gospel that is the power of God unto salvation for anyone that believes it (Romans 1:16), and it isn't Israel's Gospel of the Kingdom (the Kingdom is at hand). It's that Christ died for our sins.

I had firstly read Matthew, Mark, Luke and then in John the Holy Spirit opened my eyes to the Truth of God's Word, and I believed, and I was born again, and I did not even know at that moment what born again even was, but I soon learnt. After I was born again, I pointed everyone to the Gospel of John. I think that we point others to where we are born again. Robert was born again through an understanding of the reason why our Lord Jesus Christ died for us. The whole Bible is God's Word, the whole Bible is true, every single word. @@haroldsmyth6685 The Bible is a progressive revelation. You have to remember that the thief on the cross was not born again, as we are in this dispensation of the church age. There are different salvation plans in the Bible. For example, in the Old Testament under the law (faith & works) if you did not keep the sabbath which is a work then that resulted in the death penalty. People were not born again in the Old Testament as we are today they were not saved in the sense of how we are today, but were kept "safe", which is why the Old Testament saints went to paradise and not straight to heaven as happens today.

Actually, in eternity past, the Lamb of God was ALREADY considered slain, even before the foundation of the world (Rev. 13:8). So the atonement covered the entire realm of time itself; past, present and future (Heb. 4:3).

Therefore, even though Jesus forgave sins before His physical sacrifice occurred, that forgiveness was STILL based on His atoning sacrifice, which was grounded upon the eternal decree of God (Acts 2:23, 4:28)!
Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8). So, the gospel has also always been the same, for He is the very substance of the gospel (Psa. 119:89). The eternal and timeless nature of the atonement also proves that its saving benefits have never depended upon the time of its accomplishment. The propitiatory sacrifice of Christ was once for all time (Heb. 10:10, 12).
Therefore, all saints in the Old Testament (including the thief on the cross) still essentially experienced the same New Covenant blessings (God’s unmerited mercy and grace), by virtue of the eternity of the cross and their eternal union with Christ through faith (e.g., Ex. 34:7, Deut. 30:6, Psa. 65:3; 103:1-14; 130:4,7, Isa. 38:17, Micah 7:18-20, Jn. 3:3, Rom.4, Gal. 3:14-16).

The sum and substance of the gospel is simply Christ and Him crucified (1 Cor. 2:2), nothing more, nothing less. This was further confirmed by Jesus’ resurrection, which was also founded upon His death (Heb. 13:20).
To obey the gospel is to believe the gospel (Rom. 10:16), which is all about what God has done in Christ to save sinners. And it can only be spiritually grasped by God’s gift of saving faith that rests in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8-9).
Despite what this video implies, Changes in dispensational covenants, and their different modes of regulation, have NEVER meant changes in God’s eternal plan of redemption. A New Covenant has NEVER meant a new gospel, but only a fuller revelation of the SAME GOSPEL that transcends any given dispensation.
“There is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
No wonder the testimony of the thief on the cross was set forth as a perfect example of God's mercy and grace through Christ.

Why do they said, when someone dies it happens in three's. I would said it, always returns to Jesus. When Jesus, was on the cross, He had Dismas to his right, the good thief and Gestas, know as the bad thief to His left. Then I said to my brother, the same reason He said in Matthew 24 one will be taken and one will be left behind. He took, Dismas, with Him and left Gestas behind. I also wonder if many, notice
1 Thessalonians 5 when Lord will come like a thief in the night. Is the same way He was taken, when Judas betray Him. That is also where they got the saying the kiss of death. Because, Judas kiss Jesus on the cheek, before they arrested Jesus. History truly dose repeat itself. But our Father In Heaven, made us to be lights. To shine in the dark, to see the answer we search for. That's why 2 or more Jesus believers of true Faith can illuminate a room with wisdom. Like puzzle pieces coming together to get a better picture. And Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ holds the last pc. Amen I truly enjoy Pastor Robert Breaker, teachings as well as Pastor Mark Blitz. What God require of us for salvation is to have faith solely in him and his promises. Not in our works or good deeds.
Before the cross, it is animal sacrifice which is temporal and covers for only 1 year (Like a credit card payment). Because Jesus has not yet come to pay for their sins.
After the cross, it is faith in the blood of Jesus which is permanent and forever.

O.T. saints received remission of sins by God’s grace through faith in God’s promises concerning Christ (Acts 10:43). Not because of faith in animal sacrifices that could never take away sins (Heb. 10:2, 11). It was actually the substance of what those sacrifices stood for that took away their sins. Their faith was in Christ.

@@Goinghome2024 Regardless of what this video suggests, even the Gentiles, who didn’t participate in the Old Covenant ordinances, were being drawn into the SAME eternal inheritance as the fathers of the O.T., the exact SAME WAY (through faith), and upon the exact SAME BASIS (God's grace through Christ and His work on the cross). Because... "THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE" (Acts 15:9).
To even further confirm this truth, Scripture states:
“But we believe that through the grace of the LORD Jesus Christ we shall be saved, EVEN AS THEY” (Acts 15:11).
There are many examples given to us in the Old Testament that foreshadowed how God’s people have ALWAYS been “engrafted into Christ” by faith, NOT by any works of their own. For example, saved Gentiles in the O.T. didn’t adhere to any covenant of works for salvation, because the Fall into sin made that impossible.
Rahab, a Gentile harlot in the O.T., was highly commended in the “hall of faith,” but not because she had any salvific righteousness of her own that could have ever possibly commended her to God for salvation (Heb. 11:31). She had never even performed any of the ceremonial practices under the Law of Moses.
Rahab’s faith was counted as righteousness. She simply believed God and His promises. As a result, her God-given faith effectually worked by a love that rested in Him, unlike a self-generated, ineffectual faith that can only work by slavish fear.
Her son Boaz also married a Gentile named Ruth, and because of her God-given faith, she gave up her entire family and culture to serve God and His people, for she too had a faith that effectually worked by love (Ruth 1:16).
And these three are all honorably mentioned in the lineage of Jesus Christ, to reveal the fact that He sprang from both the Jews AND the Gentiles, because He is the Savior of both (Mt. 1:5).

But sadly, what has been presented in this video, will give baptismal regenerationists a strong foot hold. There are differences in DEGREE when it comes to believing the gospel, but there are NOT differences in KIND. For instance, in Romans 10:9, it says that if you confess the Lord Jesus AND believe in your heart that He was raised from the dead, you will be saved, because divine revelation had progressed after Jesus’ resurrection. That fuller manifestation of God’s eternal plan of redemption further increased their faith and enlarged it, but it was STILL the same KIND of faith that all the O.T. saints possessed, with essentially the same content, but with an even more expanded view of the SAME GOSPEL.
This video dangerously implies a two-gospel hyper-dispensational view that is un-scriptural.

The Gospel of Grace is not just the blood....it is also the RESURRECTION. Without the resurrection, there is no salvation.
    1 Corinthians 15:14-20
and if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: and if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

The thief on the cross is one of the best examples of how by placing our faith in Him allows us to receive His grace.
Why did you turn it into semantics Robert? Do you think God is so petty that He's worried about which words we say when we believe in Him?
What if the thief had his tongue ripped out or was born mute? Would Jesus have somehow not known the thief's heart?
The only difference between me and the thief is I've been baptized into the body of Christ by the Holy Ghost. The Holy Spirit now resides in me. This is the only difference.
This is the mystery of the gospel. What began happening on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit was poured out on believers is the only difference between believers in this current age of grace vs. those in the O.T.
I was saved by God the same way Abraham was, faith in Him. Salvation has always come from faith in God.
The church which is Christ's body is the difference. Christ places us into this unique family when we are born again, and we are given the Holy Spirit as a helper to us.
By faith we are saved. It's been that way since the very beginning.
Jesus makes it clear to person after person in the gospels that their faith has made them well.
Why did Jesus ask Nicodemus why he didn't understand the concept of being born again? Jesus makes it clear to him that it's always been that way, the Pharisees had become blinded to what all believers in the past age already knew. Faith in God brings soul salvation. Jesus taught us this. Jesus is God.
You're wrong on this in this message Robert and I hope you realize this and correct this.
    Shalom
    Maranatha Lord Jesus!

Where are the words "born again", mentioned in the Old Testament? How could anyone of known this. The Bible is a progressive revelation. This is what the Lord was referring to when he spoke to Nicodemus. Matthew 13:52 “Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.” (King James Bible). Matthew 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. (King James Bible)

@@childofthelight888 John 3 makes it very clear. Jesus literally asks Nicodemus how can he be a teacher of Israel and not know these things? Referring to being born again.
Abraham believed God and it was accounted unto him for righteousness. Abraham was "born again" by believing and trusting in God. Abraham was born of flesh into sin. He, like all others, needed to be born again by the Spirit. That only happens by faith in God. Jesus is God.
Why does king David say, "My Lord said unto my LORD..."? David knew Jesus our Messiah as Lord. David knew the Father of Christ as LORD. Christ has always been mediator. Jesus appears all over the Old Testament, He's just not referred to as "Jesus" because He hadn't taken on His fleshly incarnation.
Being born again is not unique to the New Testament.
Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness and whoever looked upon it was saved, so to was Christ raised up and whoever looks upon Him is saved. "Looks upon" being belief in Him.
Different terminology, same meaning. Being born again is nothing new, being baptized into the body of Christ through the Holy Ghost is.
The church was a mystery to the prophets of old. Abraham and those after him looked forward to Jesus, we look back to Him. All of us look forward to that great Day when we are all with Him together.
Abraham and Isaac going up the mountain is a perfect example of faith. This is the kind of faith God is searching for in the hearts of men. Those that have it are saved.
Jesus the Messiah is the God of Abraham and Isaac. Jesus is that "I Am". He and His Father are one.
Me and Job are saved by God the exact same way. Faith.
When Jesus died on the cross, he died for all sins, for all mankind, for all time. Past, present, future. Jesus died for the sins of Abraham.
      By faith we are saved.
      Shalom

The thief on the cross was saved before Jesus died. Peter James and John were all saved before Jesus died. Did Peter James and John experience New Testament salvation or Old Testament salvation. Or did they just experience salvation?
Isaiah 45:22 Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

Old Testament faith and works: Jesus Christ fulfilled the works of the law at the cross (correct). The Lord Jesus Christ died before the thief died (correct). The thief died after our Lord had died, and the thief was saved through faith and did not have to rely on works, as Jesus Christ just fulfilled the works of the law at the cross. The thief went to paradise as Christ has not yet risen and when the Lord rose again all the saints went to heaven. Matthew 27:52-53 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many. Therefore, what was the ONLY GOSPEL that the thief on the cross could have ever possibly obeyed? Please pray that Mr. Breaker will realize this before the cults take his video and run with it to promote their hyper-dispensational, two-gospel heresies!
