But seriously, the fluidity of Ares' movements here, without sacrificing any sense of power, is so impressive. And the animal transformations! They're so cool!! And then we have Ares hiding behind Aphrodite before ending up in her arms, which honestly seems very on-brand for the Olympian Failson.
There's nothing I don't love about this animatic: 1. Ares having all the animals associated with him on his armor 2. Ares turning into two animals associated with him (serpent, wolf) 3. Aphrodite's smug-ass smile after Ares is done with his verse 4. Athena not only doing an UNO reverse card but also pulling it off better and way more intimidating 5. Aphrodite carrying Ares after Ares gets the shit scared out of him

My gods, this is so good. I so rarely see animatics done on pencil and paper. I will say, i really love the erased lines not being gone entirely, like the gods leaving behind an imprint. The transformations were super smooth, the designs were incredible. This was amazingly good!

@justtheguy444 depends on the myth. One had Heph ransom his own mother for Aphrodite's hand, and the other was the equivalent of picking the one kid who didn't raise his hand when the teacher asked a question.
This looks amazing! I am confused as to why Ares was intimidated by an oversized owl when he slaughtered many kinds of creatures before… never mind, it’s just because it’s funny
@@justtheguy444 accept Poseidon, he somehow wasn’t the one punished for bringing Medusa for some “special time” into Athena’s sacred temple. Or Hera, she openly disrespects Athena, or Zeus because she is his favorite child… Ares actually is one of the few who stands up and fights Athena actually if I remember correctly during the civil war of the gods (I remember to much mythology)
