ভাঙ্গা থেকে বেনাপোল সড়ক সম্প্রসারণের কাজ কবে শুরু হবে?

পদ্মা এবং কালনা সেতু উদ্বোধনের পরও দক্ষিণ-পশ্চিমাঞ্চলের অনেকগুলো জেলা এই সেতু দুটির পুরোপুরি সুফল পাবে না। কারণ ফরিদপুরের ভাঙ্গা থেকে যশোরের বেনাপোল পর্যন্ত ১২৯ কিলোমিটার সড়ক সম্প্রসারণের কাজ এখনো শুরু হয়নি।
এই সড়ক নিয়ে সরকারের পরিকল্পনা কী? পরিকল্পনা বাস্তবায়নে কেনই বা এত দেরি হচ্ছে?

Even after the two mega bridges across Padma and Kalna are opened to the public, the people of the south-west will not be able to enjoy their full potential, because work on expanding almost 129 kilometers of road between Bhanga and Benapole has yet to begin.
What plans does the government have for this stretch of road? Why has not the construction work started yet?

আশুগঞ্জ - আখাউড়া চার লেনের রাস্তার কাজ শুরু হয়েছিল কয়েক বছর পূর্বে। বর্তমানে রাস্তার কাজ চলমান দেখা যাচ্ছে না, কোন অগ্রগতি নেই। পুরনো রাস্তাটা ভেঙে একেবারে চলাচলের অনুপযোগী হয়ে আছে প্রায় ১ বছরের অধিক সময় ধরে। পুরো রাস্তাটা ধুলোময়,, পরিবেশের ক্ষতি,মানুষ শ্বাসকষ্টসহ নানানভাবে অসুস্থ হচ্ছে। একবার কয়েক কিলো গেলেই পোশাক ধুলোয় সাদা হয়ে যাচ্ছে। এই রাস্তা নিয়ে কোন সংবাদই হয় না। প্রশাসন বা প্রকল্পের কেউই সাধারণ মানুষের এই ভোগান্তিতে নজর দিচ্ছে না। এইটা নিয়ে যদি একটা প্রতিবেদন দিতেন মানুষের অনেক উপকার হতো।
