- Sometimes luck is more important than style, but it never hurts to have both. Stacking up their wardrobe as fast as they stack up credits, Smugglers only survive in this galaxy by being slick, sneaky and fashionable. In this video I'll be showing off my favorite Smuggler fashion.
While watching, don't forget that most of these armors are not restricted to Smugglers - many of them make perfect casual clothing sets that you can wear on any of your characters, and you don't even have to sacrifice your stats. To use the outfit designer, click the numbered tabs on the right hand side of your equipment panel, add some armor, and then you can wear that new outfit on top of your regular gear.

Hey, at least you caught it pretty damn quick.
If I could make a very small request for future Top 10 gear showcases, could you also add with and without helms. That would be awesome!!! I've watched a few other of your videos andsome sets were reqlly nice, but the helms throw it off.
Am I the only one that really likes mix and matching different armor pieces to create a unique smuggler outfit? Like some of these chest pieces I absolutely love, but a different belt or pants piece here or there really makes it for me.
Nope you aren't, I mix and match pieces I like to get a neat outfit.
Been mixing and matching armor on my Inquisitor for over a year now. I will find the perfect aristocratic zappy boi look!
I do that with all of my characters :)
I really hope this game gets a console edition one day.
ThrawnGames I do that a lot like my Jedi knights armour I mixed it up to make battlearmour and even thinking of adding a helmet in that I still wear my hood with

I have a weird habit for my smuglers: I always choose the belt first and build my outfit to match it. They have some of the best looking belts of the entire game.
That's fun! And I agree. Bullet belts, criss cross belts, slouchy belts!
After 8.5 years, Drelliad Jacket is still my favorite Smuggler chestpiece for the class. Especially with the sombre dyes it is awesome.

I really like using the mask of the remote outcast with the smugglers outfits, they go well together
Nefarious Bandit has been one of my go-to sets for years. The chest is great for a lightly armored look for agents. The boots were also great for grungy mercenary types, especially when combined with the Savage Hunter set.
Bold Hellion is definitely a fav of mine. :) Looks great with different dyes as well.
I love those videos, they help me find perfect look for my characters! Now I can't decide would my vette look better in Secret Agent set or Bold Hellion set.

My smuggler is currently rocking the Opportunistic rogue and dust viper bandit outfits. They to me give that perfect smuggler feel.
Finally started a smuggler because of this vid! I'm finding it a difficult class to play, mainly because I can't decide what light jacket to wear!
Smuggler can be really powerfull, I'm playing a scoundrel and if you manage to set up a cicle of attacks you can take out certain enemies before they ever hit you.

I've always been a fan of the Trailblazer armor set for my smuggler (both the original "classic" version and the updated one). I still love those original Cartel pack skins.
Renowned Duelist reminds me of Kyle Katarn's outfit a bit. Which makes sense since you can't quite tell if it's for Smugglers or Jedi lol
One of my most favorite is Yavin Targeter's Jacket MK-3 lvl 55 jacket that has armored shoulders and really lovely orange-white color scheme
I couldnt agree more :) Been sporting the toothpick and Bold Hellion suit for years on my Operative.... it takes dyes reasonably well, especially lighter colors
Oh the Toothpick, I just finished the main story of my Gunslinger. And it was so casual going into every firefight with a toothpick. Also, my smuggler used Cassus fett's chest with atton's gloves and some simple black pants and boits and it looks awesome I love how you can mix and match with endless possibilities.

Small correction, though: you can get the craftable armor sets you mentioned (Frasium, Hadrium and Mullinine Onslaught) with Armormech, not Synthweaving

Very surprised that the Rishi armor set you get for free while doing the main story there was not included in this list.
The black/golden hat alone fits Smuggler like a fat kid who loves cake with that pirate/rogue-ish look.
I avoid any armors you cant "go back" and get later :)

The corellian pilot armor set is also good for those looking for a more "I'm the captain of this ship" look
The RD-07A Viper set, from the Adaptive Armor vendor beneath the Senate building is a favourite of mine for my lady smuggler. I feel it carries a Calrissian vibe. ^.^
The "Remnant Underworld Agent" coat looks utterly majestic with the Naval officer dye.

I'm quite fond of the Citadel targeter set from Ziost, also use a lot of the Remnant Arkanian Smuggler top with some other remnant parts to make a set I like.

The RD-07A Spider looks great on my Twi'lek smuggler
My Agent has the Bold Hellion set on her dyed white, and it looks just great.
I think you missed one of the iconic looks. The Mira set is very sharp looking and its based on Mira from Kotor 2. It works equally well for a Smuggler or a Female Bounty Hunter.
I was thinking when I was rendering this anther good one would have been mira's!

One thing I forgot. I dont care for the head piece so I normally replace that with the beret that you can get at the MakeB orbital station then color it up . Now Im off to go play some SW. Have fun all. :)
Funny thing - i actually enjoy light armour looking sets on my smuggler. A bit new to the game, just recently made a smuggler and im really loving the Imperial Battle ace pilot set that i got for free. It doesnt look too heavy on a female character, but it is an armour! My smuggler is a fighter, so having an actual armour is a good idea
Gotta add that Dynamic Vandal when my smuggler is on healing duties
Casual Connoisseur's Armor (specifically the Jacket) is one of my go-to for my smuggler, and any female character when I want to build a "casual" outfit. It's simple, stylish, and dyes well. I'd add that for SURE.

I used to rock a blue Mullinine Onslaught-style jacket for the longest time (and before that I wore the Outrider's Flight Jacket), then I saw Guardians of the Galaxy and fell in love with Star-Lord's red trenchcoat, and have been rocking the RD-05B Gunslinger Jacket (dyed first in Dark Red/Black, then Dark Red/Pale Red) ever since. Recently started playing again and fell in love with the Tribal Champion's Breastplate. Really gives my Gunslinger the Space Pirate/Tyber Zann-vibe I'm going for. Just equipped it, and I do find it a bit tough to get used to, since the Gunslinger Jacket became so iconic to my Gunslinger, so I may switch back at some point, but I'm not sure yet, even though I do _really_ like the look of it.
I'm also wearing a Havoc Squad Helmet dyed with a secondary Medium Grey to try and give it a sort of worn-down/uncoloured look as part of my Gunslinger's backstory, and I think it looks really well when combined with either chestpiece.
A lot of the classic looks and outfits look great, but I like to try and differentiate my characters a bit to make them uniquely mine while still trying to match the class I'm playing as.

the set from the Horizon Swooper Gang that you get via the rep vendor is pretty nice I think it should be added in there. It looks cool from scratch and even cooler with a dye kit
There is also a nice jacket from the Mandalorian Raiders Flashpoint available.

For my BH character I use the dualist coat, slicer pants, and Mandalorian hunters helmet. I am aiming for a non traditional mandalorian look.

Both are Cartel Market sets but the Show-off and the Interstellar Privateer sets both can work really well for a smuggler and they have same look as you find in the Charter create screen when you make one. Opportunistic Rogue's is another one if you are looking for a long coat style as well and it is a Cartel Market set as well and Troublemaker and the Subversive sets are almost the same look with the long coat color is different but both great sets both are Cartel Market sets.
I like outer rim set except boots love your videos i wait for imperial agent armors :)
Nice vid Swtorista! I like the Bold Hellion and Renowned Duelist sets. This has given me some ideas for what my Scoundrel will wear.

A correction: the Mullinine Onslaught armour is made by an armourtech, not a synthweaver.
I really love Smuggler outfits. I always have my main Jedi in them 'cause they look nice and reflect how I play them. I don't need a million layers of brown burlap sack. I need clothes! Pockets for my snacks, credits, various doo-dads etc lol. I also should finish collecting the Secret Agent set but at the time trying to get the missing pieces was a pain cause the prices were ridiculous!

I wish i could send mine, it's a mix and match but i managed to give her a very intimidating look, with an imperial touch, the smuggler was my very first character, 3.1 game version i just jumped in to the game not knowing anything a mess :D

love these armor videos....i'm always looking for good armor for smugglers troopers agents and stuff. so many great outfits for jedi and sith but hard to find good stuff for non jedi and sith characters sometimes

my first jedi knight has been wearing the drelliad since the start.

I really love the sly operator set, funnily i use it on my jedi shadow, it also fits bc he is a miraluka (the eyeless race)

Hiya big fan. Of your video's you showed it but didn't talk about it the gunslinger jacket and what about the trailblazers sets those are nice for the smuggler class as well.
I'm only around a level 20 smuggler at the moment, but I so need to get the smuggler outfit they show in the smuggler trailer(I think you can get it). So would wear that in real life, but definitely going to try to experiment with some other outfits later in the game when I have more credits
Renowned Duelist: It might be a reference to your final quest with the Alderaan Noble siblings... what's they're names again? I remember Cedonia but not the brother. Definitely don't remember the House. Anyway for their last request, a rival comes and challenges them to duel and they ask you to step in.
I love the Mal Reynolds option there where you just shoot him in the shoulder, then do it again when he complains that you weren't being fair.
On my Gunslinger i'm using the Secret agent set without the belt (not a fan) with the Viper vendor set's belt as I think its a good duel blaster belt. As for my head gear i'm using Cunning Targeter's Headgear MK-2, Its a green armour you get very early from story/planet story mission. Its just a ear bud with a boom mic. Looks really good with most sets. I was trying Nico's Okarr's duster for a bit but it clips with the blasters on your hip.
I wish there was a Toothpick and Western style hat head piece. That would complete my Gunslingers look. Great Vid!!

Smuggler needs a cow boy hat that's not enormous (shrewd rascal) and without goggles (vandal)... Something like Niko Okarr's hat would be perfect...
I just want a hat that doesn't have that weird headwrap around the face. Sadly, I think that's a graphical problem since you can only have headgear *or* hair.
I am thinking about getting some of these sets to use on my bounty hunter when she is not wearing armor.
I picked something off of the cartel market. My main intrest in the smuggler is the Aakavi Spar romance
I've gone for more of a pilot/aviation theme for my gunslinger smuggler. My main outfit is a mashup of the Squadron Leader and starter Republic Squadron Commander set. I took the Commander helmet, gloves and bracers, and the Leader chest, belt, pants, and boots and dyed most of it Dark Blue/Deep Orange. The boots are Black/Light Gray and the helmet is Pale Gray/Deep Orange. I left the belt default. Grabbed a pair of GR-14 XT blasters since they look like a carbine that a downed pilot would have in their survival gear. I wish I could get the strap tuning for them, but I'm poor and F2P lol.
The next set I want to build is the Outlander Patroller Helmet, Contraband Runner Jacket, and Hoth Defender pants. Put together, it looks like a WWII era flight suit. Haven't settled on the other parts yet. Fortitude would be an awesome blaster since it's based on the British Sterling SMG from the '50s. But again, poor F2P.
Both sound like cool combos!
i enjoy the exile revolutionary set, it gives that long jacket with a vest and a shirt, combine with other sets it makes a great set for Smugglers. :D
number 3 works well for the bounty hunter if your trying to make a cad bane
My personal favorite is the spider set dyed deep blue
