  • On the first full day of our trip to Washington D.C. we visit Arlington National Cemetery. We rode the hop on hop off Tram Tour around the grounds, which I highly recommend. Stops include Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Eternal Flame - John F. Kennedy gravesite and Arlington House one time residence of Robert E Lee.

I remember the tour we took at Arlington National Cemetery during a class trip to Washington in June of 1992. That was a LONG tour.

If you walked I’m sure it was! I enjoyed the tram tour and you can get off at any of the stops to look around and explore then hop on the next tram that comes by

We walked part of the way but took a tram during the rest. Two trams had to be reserved for our class. It was in June and it was hot that day.

This is hilarious how fast it is going. Look left, look right, oops you missed it.

Yeah at times it seemed that way. But it’s an enormous area to cover to they go to keep moving to get through it all.
