  • **EDIT** I learned how to use the G28 Function through the help of some others. Once you get your bit in place (work piece zero), go into Easel and press Control/Shift/D. This will open the Machine Inspector. You simply have to type G28.1
Note: this also saves a predetermined Z axis point too, so I raised my bit a couple of inches before typing G28.1 (you can always change it later)
This will save the work piece X Y (work piece zero). However, once you home your machine you will have to open the machine inspector and type G28
This will move the machine to your predetermined work piece X Y or Zero. Also, I used an end mill and manually jogged the machine with the router on and trimmed the edges of the jig to ensure my fence (AKA corner jig) was square to the machine.*****
This is the fastest and easiest way I have found to find X and Y on your X-Carve. I start by demonstrating how this process works and then how to setup your machine to get the same results

I do like the idea of the plywood 90deg jig.
I usea series of wheels or discs cut from mdf. In these I have drilled a series of holes at varying points off centre... I can then use these as cams with which to clamp work pieces down.

Hello, the easel link does not seem to work. Maybe it is no longer available?
