Pro-Pain is a New York-based metal and hardcore band formed in 1991 by vocalist and bass guitarist Gary Meskil and drummer Dan Richardson, both former members of Crumbsuckers.

Been a fan for nearly 2 decades. I know when I discussed this album with Gary he said that it's one of his least favorite due to the guitar mixing but god damn this album embodies everything that tugs at my chest when I think about being a Pro-pain fan. Soundtrack to our lives!

This band is awesome, but it's crazy how everytime I hear this band I'm screaming inside "Goddamit rhythm guitarist, turn your Gain knob up!" it feels like they're playing with the Gain knob at like 5 and it cuts a little balls off the songs, and it's really disappointing because the riffing is fucking awesome...
when i was younger i felt the same way but as ive aged i have come to favor definition and clarity. The best thing about this record for me is number 1 the songwriting , it is like punk rock Sex pistols or Ramones style combined with elements of classic Iron Maiden , Judas Priest metal and the groove metal meets hardcore that Pro-pain are known for.Number 2 i love the warmth and clarity of the rhythm guitars .The over all production is unlike any Pro-pain record before or after.To me, most of their records are big buzz saw guitar tones with mids scooped and a woofy bottom end. Here its like the opposite , lots of mids and a tighter focused bottom
