''Be bold, be brave, be beautiful! '' Thank you so much for your encouraging words and inspirational tutorial! I'm just a beginner, I'll try my best to learn from YOU🥰
I just had one of your tutorials randomly pop up a couple of weeks ago here on you tube. I started to try watercolor a couple of years ago and gave up. Luckily, I never got rid of my supplies! I have ordered and received a no.3 rigger and a 12 round and can’t wait to pick it up again! Paul, you have a way, no wait..a “gift”, of presenting and teaching watercolor so that it is not so intimidating! I can’t thank you enough for sharing your gift and talents with all of us! God bless you, sir!😃👍
You are so welcome Charles! - hope you have many years of happy painting - it's really is a very relaxing and enjoyable pastime! 😃👍 - but also can be very addictive!!!!
You're right. Paul has a gift of presenting and explaining in such a simple and effective manner. I'm so psyched to try and replicate/imitate Paul's paintings!
Again can't thank you enough.. have started my "regular" watercolor learning journey from last one and half years . One thing I can say I am motivated to pick up my brushes and paint everyday since I have found your tutorials.. and God I am learning so much and so fast
A friend referred me to your CZcams tutorials and I'm very glad I found them. Excellent, so many good techniques and clearly demonstrated.
Paul, I've been following your works for a while... you're a magician with colours!
This is the project for Sunday 24th January. Today’s was the Mexican building, put in a dog and man having a siesta. Turned out to be really good, very pleased. Tomorrow I want to do the poppy field. Love the free flow of the paint washes. I am really enjoying watching and learning and the results are great, thank you for giving me the confidence to try.
I found this tutorial and tried..... it took me 3 attempts... I struggled with the paper and the Blue... but after switching to better materials it turned out ok. But more importend: I've learned so much!!! Paul, you are such a good teacher! Your comments are always on point, helpful and supportive. Thank you very much!

Excellent Paul. You’ve put the fun back into watercolour. Thank you. Jim
Paul, I just adore your videos! Even though I am a watercolor painter and not an oil painter, I have always loved watching Bob Ross' videos because of his calming voice and fun, carefree approach, with the occasional humorous remark. Now I believe I have found the Bob Ross of watercolor. Your light, unintimidating approach makes it feel so fun and comfortable, and your great sense of humor only adds to it. All of which only enhances the already beautiful work you do. Thank you and I will be watching your videos for life!!
Thanks so much Libby - really appreciate that - have you seen this video? czcams.com/video/mfJzKUK0H-o/video.html
Loved your teaching style great video
Paul you are truly inspirational, and make it look so simple... its simply a matter of following your instructions, thank you so much for 'works of art' by beginners!

Thank you so much for your kind demeanor and useful techniques, and sharing them in your videos. I am looking forward to learning a lot more and improving my efforts.
Thank you for putting these tutorials together and sharing them - its not often people have such a gift for teaching the gift of their craft with such a personable approach! I'm forwarding all of your tutorials and the link to your youtube channel, along with a copy of your beginner techniques book, to my dad who lives on the Garden Route in South Africa. He's promised a watercolour of Urquhart Castle and I'm holding him to his word! Just so that you know - you're a very global phenomenon. Thank you!
Absolutely Brilliant, you have opened my eyes to watercolour painting. Many thanks.
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. I learn a lot from the tutorial! Love the final pastel trick.

So much to learn from you (and try!!!)....so little time in a day.....I find it sad to have to go and sleep 😂😂😂aaaah creativity!!! Will definitely try this too....soon....bless you!!!
Thanks a bunch - agree - not enough hours in the day and sleeping seems a waste!!
Paul, you're simply the best! Thank you so much for making me more confident, I'm no longer afraid to pick up my brushes and paper. Even though I'm French and not good at English, at least I understand what you're saying! 😍😍
Nice use of complimentary colors, always very pleasing to the viewer's eye. I've learned some valuable tips and techniques from watching your video tutorials, Paul. Thank you!
Oh wow. Thank you for another superb tutorial. Witty, perfect pace, informative, no waffle.
But oh my, the way the pigments spilt out into blues and reds in the sky and buildings is simply stunning. I must get some rough paper so i can achieve this and the dry brushing, all i have is lots of Not.
Thank you again.
Paul, another treat. I enjoy your videos so much. Please don't stop making them. Phil from the USA
This was fantastic, Paul. Thank you so much. I like the pace at which you work. I've not yet scratched any of my paintings with a knife. Maybe I'll try it now!
You are seriously the best ..you have renewed my love for watercolour...thanks
A good friend told me about your videos after she painted your Tuscan Italian village. Now I cant stop painting your gorgeous works.
Instantly bought your book after watching this! Just wow! Many of these technics are Eye-Opener and made my jaw fell onto the table!
I thought it was a fun tutorial to make, I've done it three times already haha. I immediately ordered your book, sometimes I like to paint without a screen that distracts.
Interesting, thanks. I like the scratch shimmer effect in the water near the end.
It is a masterpiece at the end 😉 The finishing touch is that chalk / pastel and the smudging. All that from only 3 colours too😊
After one year of doing something new during covid, I discovered watercolors. And to top it all off I found Paul Clark. You are the greatest, funniest, most talented teacher I have come across, bar none! I look forward to every Wednesday and mess around with w/c on my own the other six days of the week. Truly addicting. But that's ok.
Happy Holidays to you and Margot.
Really nice work and explanation. You are great artist.

I don't know why but this painting this scean makes me feel so good there is something so different about this painting love your painting definitely i am gonna try this
Thank you!!! A SPECTACULAR demonstration of the basic techniques one needs to become a competent watercolourist. Just practice this sequence of steps repeatedly to become skilled at watercolor (regardless of the subject matter one favors).
As so many others agree, you are an excellent and conscientious teacher, keeping the demonstration uncomplicated but not forgetting to mention the details that elevate the skill set and make the finished piece better. Thanks again!
Glad it was helpful!
