A novella of Hermann Hesse, written in 1920s Germany, set in the time of Gotama Buddha (6th c. BC). The life-long spiritual journey of a Brahmin. Fascinating entrance into the spiritual world of ancient India. A good storyline, but a better contemplation of life. Profound. Everyone can gain something from it. A wonderful read I shan't soon forget.
