- Jake and I sit down and examine the difference between a $180 holster and our $30 holster, and the findings might just surprise you.... Spoiler it is pretty hard to find a difference besides the MASSIVE savings.

For me, I bought T1C holsters because I was sick of trying 30-50$ holsters and having them be uncomfortable or not fit right. After 4 or 5 holsters from different brands I was just done screwing around and bought the best rated one on the market. That was 5 years ago and I haven't purchased another one since. One and done.
How does the T1C feel? Does it bite into you’re pelvis if you have to bend over or sit down?
I have one, it definitely bites into my pelvis when I sit down. I usually wear flexible waistband pants when I carry it.@@jakemiles8070
@jakemiles8070 I've been running a tier 1 appendix holster for 2 years. I forget I am wearing it most of the time. No pinching no issues. Could also be because I'm a string bean, body type always can come into play.

Wish they would’ve stayed that price

You mean holster that can hold a gun with a light mounted on it? They have that. I just got mine in the mail. Best $30 bucks I've ever spent.
@@rojack79er for a cz p10
@@d1909a ahhh. Well they have a universal drop leg holster that works great for just about any handgun from what I've seen and personally experienced.

Nolan said what Jake said but funnier. Worth it.
@@TacticonArmament your holster is twice the price less than a year after this video was posted. Why?
I have the tacticon holster and a tier 1 holster. They tacticon isn’t bad for the money, but there is a lot that could easily be made better. For me, the claw is way too close to the grip of the gun. When I draw, the knuckle of my middle finger scrapes against the claw trying to get between it and the grip of the pistol. Very uncomfortable, but useable.the holster itself rides extremely low. The grip of the pistol almost sits right at the belt, so a quicker draw can be tricky. I also prefer a holster with two belt clips to stabilize the gun. With one belt clip, the grip saga down into your belt. I would like to see your holster with a little more distance between the grip and the claw, an additional belt clip and possibly adjustable ride height. I believe the tacticon holster and mag holster are probably the best deal for the money, but I would easily spend at least $10-20 more to see these changes.
Apparently they charged 20 bucks more now still with no light and didn’t make any changes… lol I’m a big supporter of Tacticon but anyone wears a Tier 1 knows if your gonna rip on them you’re gonna need to put some extreme detail into your product
@reddawnready facts! I love tactic on as well and the whole time I watched this I was thinking - adjustable ride height, stability, wing placement, etc. Small details, but when you carry everyday with varying attire, those little details make a BIG difference.
Damn straight@@RedDawnReadiness
Crazy how this showed up on my page, and i said, "Oh cool, a $30 holster," and they're $60 today lmao
same. and this videos a year old they said they would be adding light options, still no light. oh well. i got a TXC now and its the most comfortable kydex ive tried.
Use the code IWB50 and it’s $29.99 as of today
its called amazon my boy
Love it when a company reviews their own product lol.
Turns out they unanimously agree their product is great.
In their defense most people do review their own products like this. A slightly less biased opinion would be great though. They do also tend to try and crap on great products put out by their competitors which draws away from their credibility it seems. I own multiple T1C holsters. They are amazing compared to many other competitors including Tacticon. Had my original T1C for well over 6 years and it's still like day one. Would highly recommend T1C.
I think that part of the reason for the cost is all of their options for firearms and lights. They are unmatched
Cons of the tacticon holster. The single clip allows the gun to move around some as you move around. It doesn’t take much movement to really mess a draw up, if the grip of your gun is not always in the same spot, you will be more likely to flub your draw. Next is no ride height adjustment. For those who practice iwb draws you know how important it is to have ride height set so it’s as low as possible while still being high enough to get your fingers around the front of the gun without having to fight the top edge of your belt. The mag carrier has both of these problems. It can move around and isn’t a reliable consistent draw. Honestly those two reasons alone are enough to make me spend over $120 on a holster for those features. If you don’t need a spare mag, I still opt for a holster with 2 clips like the tier 1 xiphos. Superior stability and consistent draw every time because the gun doesn’t move around as easily, along with fine tuning your ride height and height if the concealment claw. Don’t cheap out on your iwb holster. The tacticon is a place holder until you’ve saved up enough to afford a trex or tier1.
Spoken like somebody who carries appendix👊🏼
I agree and I agree it's WORTH spending the extra cash to get exactly what you need, but I think the question is more so along the lines of is the price difference necessary as in is Trex gouging. With all of that said I do have multiple Trex holsters and they are great holsters but I can't help but feel they are gouging and trying to be a Gucci line instead of getting their gear in the hands of as many Americans as possible.
@@mghtymous21 i can see where your coming from but i dont think they are gouging customers. The sidecar style holster exists because of trex. Also I do think they improved it with the spine system. Even the $100 sidecar with no spare mag is worth it over the $60 tacticon holster, due to getting a second belt clip and height adjustment. The tacticon has no height adjustability. For me, the trex or tier1 xiphos is $40's better than the tacticon all day. In fact i think i would go to fleet farm and pick up a blackhawk aiwb holster for $40 before i ordered the tacticon again.
@@mghtymous21I don’t feel like Trex is gouging at all. All you need is the $100 base version and if you feel you need a mag attachment or a tourniquet attachment you can get those later. On top of that they have invested a significant amount of money in changing the design as well as how they actually make the holster now compared to how they used to do it. On top of that it’s one of the cheaper holsters on the market compared to the big names like T1C, and having owned both I honestly find I use the Trex the most.
A selling point for the attached magazine is that while tethered to the main holster it does offer more retention for the entire unit. More points of contact and surface area. It’s why I bought a T1 to compliment my Vedder. But I don’t think the $180 price tag is fair. If you could attach your mag pouch to your main holster it would be a T1 killer. IMO holsters are like Pokémon, you gotta catch ‘em’ all and see what works best for you.
Love my T1 holster. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another or recommend it to anyone else. When it comes to carrying a gun the holster matters.
I know this is six months old, but an honest "critic" of sorts...
I use a T-Rex Arms Sidecar holster, and I love it. It is modular. As such, one can remove the accessory attachment in favor of a "wing clip". This facilitates the continued benefit of having two (instead of just one) points of contact with the beltline. Thus maintaining superior stability and consistency of draw and presentation.
Loved the video 😊
I will say the tier 1. Has more adjustability. I love your videos and mission statement.
But you gotta know about the product you’re comparing.
Adjustable ride height
Adjustable concealment wing. Height and thickness.
And they offer different holsters with the ability to be as modular.
Bought most of my gear from you guys and it’s the best bang for your buck by far. Thanks for making it affordable for us blue collar guys to train🇺🇸💪🏼

I’m gonna tell you why I bought tier1 and can say I was extremely happy with the purchase . Super comfortable and gives me the option to carry multiple handguns with the same light . So I only need one holster for multiple handguns that have the same light so I can rotate handguns at ease . My one holster lets me carry 4 different handguns
I have both, and beyond the cool factor (who cares lol), the biggest difference for me is the ride height. It's hard for me to get good purchase on the gun with the Tacticon because it sits low along the waistband, whereas the T1 has it slightly higher. Gives me a better purchase and my grip is way more consistent. Both get the job done, and even though they are $50 now ;) the Tacticon is a great buy
I checked out your site, seems to be 60 now, but hey thats inflation. But you dont have anything light bearing yet and nothing for the m&p 2.0 10mm 4.6 either. Any eta on one?
My first purchase was about a week ago for the Ruger security 9 compact holster and I'm ashamed I didn't find this company sooner . Amazing quality and fast shipping. I've already got my eye on a few things and plan on getting all of my holsters from them now from here on out. Happy customer!
Seems like ever video I watch from these guys I go and look up the product and it is literally double the price they quote in the video less than a year ago. NOT A $30 HOLSTER, it is now DOUBLE
Thanks guys! I bought one of these for my PPS to try it out since the price was so reasonable. It's a great deal more comfortable than my other holster. I plan on buying another carry gun here pretty soon and I'll definitely be picking one of these up for that also. Sometimes it's trial and error to find a holster that works well, and $30-40 is a lot more palatable than $100+ for some of the other ones.
My thoughts while watching this
"Its 30 bucks! Woohoo! Thats awesome!"
"Its been 10 months since the video was posted... ill bet they accommodate a weapon light now"
Spoiler, no weapons light upgrade yet
I almost bought a T1 holster. I knew I was going to dish up a lot of money, but after adding all the features I wanted the price was out of control. I instead got one from LASconcealment. Awesome holster. Biggest advice I can give is quality clips. I’ll happily pay more for good clips. The wide plastic one isn’t my fav. The ones that LAS comes with are great, still plastic and can probably get sourced for cheap
i will say having the mag "sidecar" attached spreads the load evenly on both belt clips, and makes for a very stable platform.
that said, it also limits your pants and belt choices because you need pants with belt loops spaced appropriately to fit the holster clip positioning, and then you have to go with a belt that also works with the spacing or the resulting re-clocked belt buckle position.
my "sidecar" style holster is the best for stability (with the right pants), my compact kydex with a separate mag carrier is the most versatile.
That's some great input thank you!
I purchased a T1 for over $100. Problems I encountered: plastic arms of the clips and wing don't stay rigid. They flex and bend overtime which changes the angle/position of the holster and doesn't optimize concealment. I chose a closed end holster, they put so much extra material on it past the muzzle it created a 90 degree shelf that canceled any effect a wedge would have. The wedge itself used adhesive that didn't hold up to appendix carry at work. The lead time when I purchased was over a month, they didn't offer alot of options for a Shield Plus and zero options with a mag carrier.
I hope this helps, I like everything you guys are doing!
I dont carry in a tier 1 holster, but i have used and tested them.
Adjustable ride height is a huge deal and having 2 clips and them being spaced farther apart will give more stability when paired with a good belt. Those 2 things alone make a huge difference if you are looking to shoot at a high level. Neither of which will be noticeable to a novice or beginner shooter.
Need a light bearing holster! I'd scoop that up pronto!
In progress!
Now their cheap holsters are double $60. What about kydex thickness and the designing of how the firearm rides in holster. Also the tier 1 helps to lower print since it runs wider across the body. It’s also more stable because it has two belt clips. Tier 1 does have a holster type that you can separate the mag. Also you have to answer questions about what mag you will be carrying like if you have an extension so the mag rides at the same height as the firearm. He must have an old tier 1 because you can adjust claw height and ride height of firearm without having to fully remove the screws.
I just ordered my first Tacticon
holster. Can't wait, I'll let you
know what I think.
Thanks
I carry a T1C holster every day, I am going to get on your web sight and order one of yours so I can see the difference, but I do want to point out, having the sidecar attached to the main body of the holster is very comfortable and does a great job at helping to pull everything tighter against the body. Also it was not mentioned if your holster had depth adjustments on the clip for deeper or higher concealment. But one really big reason I am a T1C fan is because I can carry even when wearing a button down shirt, tucked in. I don’t have to often, but for work it’s required sometimes. All that said, I am excited to try your holster out and see what I think.
Train, stay safe, and “don’t fuc* up with guns”
Waiting to hear back on your findings
Today was day 2 using the holster. Yesterday I spent about 4 hours at my home range drawing and shooting with it. Being very honest, for what you pay for it I think it’s the best on the marked. For a holster that is well within the every man’s price point, I truly think it’s the best on the market. I’m not sure if you guys make these or outsource them, but I think with better belt clips and more adjustment on the retention, you would be top dogs on the market. I am going to continue carrying with this holster any time I carry my iron sights Glock 19. Overall a great value. I also picked up a few other things on your store at the same time and I have to say, bang for my buck I am nothing but pleased. My next purchases will be a couple weapon lights and I have full faith in their quality after seeing what I have with your products thus far.
A dual clip system will always work best for me.
Being able to mount your pistol in the center of your waist with a thinner clip on either side of your belt buckle is so comfortable.
When are y'all starting the "$30 holster and $150 of ammo" bundle?
I love tacticon, but I’m going to be real about this one. All those little small differences make a ton of difference when carrying appendix every day. There is a world of difference between what tier one and other manufacturers make.
In fairness, I haven’t tried tacticon’s holsters but I have tried many others. I wear tier one holsters with my G45 setups every single day. The only time I have them off is when I’m asleep or showering. The price may be excessive but they are worth every dime.
The Dynamic Duo. Great video guys.
Make your holster light bearing with metal clips that allow a shirt to be tucked in. Even if the price goes up to like $50, it would be the best holster out there.
Despite his eyebrows getting my rocks off, thank you!!! Lol I own a tiny holster company in Kentucky, build most by hand. I show this same comparison to my customers haha 😂 NOW, I’ll be sending them this video!! Thanks man 👍
So when are you going to make holsters that are light-bearing
I bought a T1 1.5 years ago, same as that, for a G19 because nobody really makes a them with so much options like T1; G19 wit a TLR7, and Optics. At that time, they were the only ones with the reputation and Options. By the way, I carry it all the time with out the side car.
On the other hand, I just bought your stand alone backpack for the plate carrier and the hydration system. I'm waiting for the Plate carrier to be available, then I might get that as well.
If you make a 43x MOS slim OWB/IWB tuckable holster with a TLR SUB, i'll try it. I think you guys are on the right track. More power to you!
Jake and Nolan....loved the video. BTW, I have a drawer full of holsters I thought "looked cool" but we're absolutely non-functional. The first Tacticon product I purchased was the Compact Laser Sight. I reciently ordered your concealed carry holster (carbon fiber) for my G2C; however, I would love it if you produced a holster that would accommodate your Compact Laser Sight.
I've been a huge fan of Tacticon for a while and I absolutely love Tacticon Gear. I use the sling bag as my EDC bag and have a number of shirts, sweatshirts, and other Tacticon gear.
Please keep up the great work!!!! Your getting patrons for life!!!
You sweet lad! Thank you for the kind words and things are in the works for sure! We appreciate you ~ Nolan
I have a tier 1 holester. Spent 180 on it. Six weeks later i got it. It does its job, nothing really special. Mention leads times as not being able to carry your gun for 6 weeks because you're waiting on a holster, kind of sucks.
I'm old with a bit of mold...I'm sold!
Ordering soon
Thanks
As one who bought a Tier 1 holster I can say I don’t regret paying 180. It’s a comfy holster and I can wear it all day. Anyways I love what you guys do and I look forward to seeing more.
Will admit, its hard to not like you guys, my opinion of Millienals just raised a notch. And sorry if that's become an insult, its not intended that way. You're holster is $50 now, still likely a 3x better deal than the highest end of your competitors. Best regards to you.
I like Tacticon and most of my battle equipment I purchased from them. It’s the quality for price for me. I don’t have one of their holsters because I do install lights on my sidearms. When they do, I will buy one.
I've used so many different holsters for a few different guns. And yeah cheaper ones work and can get the job done. I tried T1C for a p365 xl and man I did not like it. Their wing and my knuckle did not get along no matter how much a tried adjusting it. That holster ran me about $135 to $155 (I cant remember exactly) and I waited over a month to recieve it. I use T. Rex arms as my edc holster now. Never had any issues no matter the firearm and if I dont want to run an extra mag I dont have to but I can still have a two clip system. Also...I recieve them within 5 days of ordering. Those holsters are worth the price of admission. Holsters are a pretty personal choice and even the ones that everyone rants and raves over may not be the best for you. I love how many options there are in the market today, I just wish there was a cheaper process to find holsters that work instead of buying a ton to find one that works while the rest sit in a drawer. Love the vid guys!
The more I watch the more I like these guys.
Fuckin flip flop guy is absolutely BOSS!
I own a Tier 1 holster. It was more like $120, with the spare mag attachment. I've owned a lot of holsters over the last 15 or so years and Tier 1 is the best.
I’ll def be buying a couple when the light bearing option comes out!
I have the T1 currently and yes it is pretty bulky and depending on what I’m wearing can bear down on the belt some. When I bought it the adjoined mag holder I thought would be great option - but I have to say, having worn it for over two years now - it sure would be nice to have separated one depending on clothing worn.
Great video guys! Thanks !
You've opened my eyes!!! I'm going to do this with all my gear. Why carry CZ when you could carry a hi-point. Why use a trijicon when i could use a sightmark. Why use federal self defense rounds when i can use wolf alum fmj.
LMFTFY
"Why carry Glock when you could carry CZ"
If you guys make your own sidecar appendix holster im down 100%. The mag carrier connected to the holster is just the way for me personally and consistent with my training. Love your products and keep up the good work.
I would love to have the mag pouch attached to the holster or at least have te option to attach or detach it, but definitely I'll get one of your holsters
The holsters are obviously very similar. Unfortunately, Tacticon does not offer any where near the customization that Tier 1 does. The price difference ultimately comes down to aesthetic, quality, and options. Love what Tacticon is doing but there is still room for improvement.
Tuckable and hybrid leather/kydex are why I use Crossbreed (I have two Reckoning’s for a p365 and a G48) when I’m in business clothes. Plain kydex is just fine for PT and dressed down carry.
Still, even with horse leather, it’s a $70 holster on sale. What is the one you’re looking at for $180? T.Rex?
Wish this came out sooner. I already paid big bucks for my holster. And the title is right. You can get at least 2 probably 3 if your a good haggler on Stockton blvd ;)
I am what you call a bargain hunter
hello Tacticon, first of all, great products and I really like the holster but can y’all please make one for the PSA dagger?
The tier1 does come with plates to make the claw like 4 different heights no extra fee
The only thing that holster offers is adjustable height clips to push it up or down your waistline.
Got one of your holsters for my Glock 42, works great, same features as much more expensive models. Happy to have found it.
Great! We're happy you found it too! Thanks for the support
When the light bearing model becomes available. I'll buy it
Please make one for the PSA Dagger Compact & keep up the great work.

Damn I love your videos guys and everything you represent. But recently received a Tacticon holster for an awesome price but the quality was really lacking. I compared it to my Vedder SideTuck, which was more than 2x the cost for sure. But your holster felt flimsy and did not feel safe unfortunately. Only sharing in hopes you folks provide maybe a premium option in the future. Like you mentioned in the video, it’s not $100 worth more but tbh when it has to do with a gun pointed at my junk all day I would pay anything 😂. Again all this with love.
Here's my experience shopping for holsters....
I did buy a Tier1 Axis. I bought a custom Crossbuilt Armory appendix rig. I bought a BurlyMan Tactical "Gentleman" setup. I've had Muddy River Tactical and 2 different Versacarry leather models. (I've had more but those are the big names...) Every SINGLE ONE of those holsters was $75-$150(except the Versacarry, they have great prices).
The holster that I use the ABSOLUTE MOST comes from "Outlaw Holsters" and it was $39.
Piss on name brand. Can I get comfort and value in my holster with a little retention and confidence in the belt clip?? THAT'S what matters.
I think tacticon is very good for the price as a budget option ($60 as of right now). But T1C may be one of the best with great customer service on the higher end
I had to spend $200 because all $50 holsters are made for all of 2 types of pistols. Both of which is Glock, one is optic cut, neither is light bearing.
T-Rex and DARA holsters for the win.
Love all your other stuff tho. Great slings and range belts and such. Only problem I have with yall is stock (which is a good problem to have I reckon), but is excruciatingly annoying as a customer wanting to buy your merch. Been waiting on the chest rig, elite plate carrier and rifle light to restock for prolly 6 months now. Prolly just gunna get the surefire rifle light as it is the same price as yours(wish i was around when yall charged $80), but keeping my fingers crossed for at least a chest rig restock sometime soon.
Great products tho, nothing I've bought from them has disappointed me.
I run a T1 axsis and I love mine.
It’s all about the clip. Not saying ots worth 150$. But that wide plastic clip that is on the less expensive holster doesn’t 100% retain the holster to your belt. I’ve tried multiple belts with that clip I always have draw issues.
LMAO - I also bought the T1C holster - to be fair, it was a few years ago and I didn’t even know you guys existed (assuming you did then). It is NOT comfortable (for me), and it does not allow for moving the pistol or mag carrier to different locations. Yes. I guess you can separate the two pieces, but given the cord shortage, I feel that would be irresponsible and wasteful. I also don’t know how secure the narrower belt clip on the T1C would be, or how comfortable the holster would likely be in the 3-4 position due to its size. I will also be watching for the release of your light-accommodating version. My collection of holsters that I never use is about to grow by one very expensive item. 😭
my holster was $40 from Amazon and is the EXACT same as a Tier1 holster...light bearing....its because they use a UNIVERSAL MOLD for all their builds
Website says 59.95 I'm not seeing the 30 dollar option
Love u guys but I've rocked alien gear tuck for a long time. Great vid!
The biggest thing is how custom I can get it with T1C when it comes to light options
I have a couple of T1C’s holsters. To be fair I have not tried one of your holsters but just about every sub $100 holster I have tried was no where near as comfortable as the two T1C holsters I have.
It’s hard to for me to take someone seriously when they are reviewing their own product and say it’s the better of the two.
If Tacticon's products included the ability to connect/disconnect the mag carrier to the holster for additional stability, as well as a tuckable clip with adjustable ride height they would be hard to beat imo.
Thank you Tacticon. I appreciate you guys thinking about your customers and I appreciate you being fair and honest with your pricing. Thank you.
Just getting started, they’re about to get all my 2024 money
add the FN 509 and I'm sold. I stumbled across Tacticon on amazon and ordered a belt and the battle lite vest (still shipping) but the belt is amazing, Just opening the package and feeling the material, and wearing it. I'm so glad I found a quality and budget friendly option. Being veteran owned is also a huge plus in my book.
When Tacticon makes a light bearing holster for CC and a red dot equipped XD that’s when I’ll be interested
Hope you make a holster for my Walther full size 5 inch PDP soon. I know there’s a thousand guns out there to have a holster for, so it’s impossible to have one for all of them. But Walther’s are badass, so…….. 😎
Bruhhh this guys are SOOO FUNNY ! 🤣 love this channel.
My personal opinion is that adding the mag carrier makes the holster overall more comfortable. Without the mag carrier, I can not wear similar holsters appendix carry. That plus the ability to have a light is the reason I did not purchase one of your holsters. Again, this is just my opinion, but this is also why I did not purchase a holster from you. I do, however, rock you war belt and love it. If you make the ability to connect the holster and mag carrier, I will definitely purchase one. Just my 2 cents.
Good evening! Great video guys, truly! Y’all are always a blast to watch!

Hope you are able to answer this after returning from shotshow tired and potentially sick. I saw your booth, but you guys were swamped, and Iwasn't able to wait long enough to get a word in.
What is the country of origin of your holster? Being in this industry for 2+ years, surely you know the cost variance between a US product and something else. Not to mention the difference in QC.
Great vid fellas! I'm excited! When will the holsters with light compatability be released?
Don't have an exact date for you yet my boy, but we are working on it!
Looks over at my 1911….I too have bought thing’s because it looks cool
I personally don't like the single clip configuration. I've experienced the wing on the holster popping up above the waist band because the holster turns when I sit or bend (I don't carry appendix).
Will be ordering some holsters to pit against my other ones! I like the affordability aspect and for simpler concealment of a non sidecar holster
Hope your holsters fitted for a light are made to accommodate your guys light instead of Olight.
I'll be getting a PDP soon. Unfortunately you guys don't make a holster for it yet.
i purchased, and sold, a tier one aiwb setup similar to that one..wasn’t thrilled with the retention, so i went back to the t.rex arms sidecar; that said, the t&a…ta…tacticon armament holster looks legit - and will crush at that price point, especially with a light-bearing offering; the one thing you didn’t address was the belt clip..and i’ve heard arguments for and against polymer, metal, single versus double, etc..curious to hear why you chose the one you did
great stuff..wish you guys all the best
Just looked on their website, it’s 60 bucks now and still doesn’t have a light option. Priced themselves out of the market over all imo
I hope you guys one day make a kydex holster mounting option for your drop leg holster. I think an owb drop holster with light support would be a great next step.
The belt attachment and adjustability is better. Not worth $150 more but it is significantly more comfortable.
No light bearing or full size options for IWB. Think I’ll stick with T1C.
$60 now, 10mos later, no light-bearing option still and it's not tuckable. It has none of the features I need and only costs a few dollars less than other brands that do. You guys need to rethink this product line.
I run a sidecar from t.rex i truly love it. Convenient, "comfortable", and compact.
This is what it comes down to….as a tier 1 wearer… the quality of their Jude’s and knowing your gun isn’t going get scratched and lifetime warranty…they replaced mine for having a crack in it, instantly… also and last however they mold it it seems to be thinner then most molds I’ve worn. Mainly because it seems they don’t fold it over or if they do they cut that in half and use the rivets to reconnect the front and back
Last this holster they are advertising does seem to be 49.99
discounts on the holster which are commonly found on our site can bring the price down from $25 to $35 and keep in mind that the gun holster ALSO comes with a Mag Holster. So all in you're paying for what some companies charge you for a mag holster alone.
