Of all the high consequence features on this channel, the riskiest is now buying a 2012 Land Rover uninspected 😂
Lol
First thing I thought too! 😅😅
You’re not wrong 😂🙈
If it were inspected,.it wouldn't be any better
TRUTH!!!
Love it! But naming the LR is a no brainier...Loam Rover!
100% i snap thought the exact same thing it must be the loam rover!
We must share a brain
Came here to say this!
Loam rover 100%!!!
Nailed it.
Not gonna lie.....was one of my fav videos you've done. The hype, the edit..just banging
8:34 you can see Yoann Barelli dropping in just before you guys!! SICK!!
This video could not make me any happier. Ryan, for you to do this for this amazing guy, I wouldn’t expect any less of from you. And James, my good lad, you are the guy that deserved this the most. I’ve missed the mountains tons since moving back east, but what I miss the most, is my friends including you both. Cheers Marc
Thanks for that Marc! Means a lot. I hope to ride with you again sooner than later!
Thanks man, it was the trip of a lifetime. We miss you in the mountains matey, are you coming back for a pedal at any point?
Scam alert ⚠️ 📢
@@TheLoamRanger I think you have a scamer in your comment Section. ☮️
@@Jamesyshreds Heck yeah!!! Did they flip the brakes on the rental so you could ride Moto?
Incredible through and through. I'm Late to the party but incredibly heart warming and RAD!
Man it is the best feeling ever. Visited Whistler for the first time last June, coming from The Netherlands. I just could not believe how cool it was, did 17 runs the first day and had to stop because the lift closed 😂 Very cool that you let James experience it all, because it’s one of those things that really has a lasting impact on your life.
How long were the line ups? I got like 10 a day but I did to a couple garbanzo laps. And you are 100% right, there’s nothing else like Whistler especially the jumps trails. The tech is good but living in BC there is no shortage of good tech trails and the Whistler jump lines are so good it’s hard not to take the opportunity to ride ALine and freight train over and over again
The stoke level of everyone when you reached the Moon Booter had me smiling! Hell of a video!
I'm sorry, WHAT?! There's 44 jumps on just the one trail? Holy crap!
I've heard plenty about A-Line but never knew that. Dang! Hella good time watching you shed it 1st shot bro! Respect for days!
90% of Land Rovers are still on the road, the other 10% made it home
The fact this guy has got skateboard trucks on his forearms makes me like him immediately.
The LR should be called the “money pit “ 😂😂. Cool video though. Such a great trip.
I believe this is one of your best vids so far….sick, sick, sick!!!
This is the first video I've watched of A-Line where I felt some of the nerves of the rider! Way to go. I gotta get up to Whistler sometime before I'm too old.
Best quote from your video at 7:38:
"There's tons of hype about A-LINE. But, I didn't think that when we would get here the hype would just go through the roof. Even just looking at the sign, I'm like okaaay, okaaay. Let's just do it. Let's just do it for the rest of the trip, let's not go anywhere else."
Yes - the hype is through the roof!!
Holy crap...that was impressive for 1st go. Dude has some cojones. lol
Great video, just made my more hyped for my first trip to Whistler later this year after a stop in Canmore!
Damn, my man cleared nearly everything on A-line first time including the moon booter! F'in amazing! I think I cased half those jumps my first time. Props!
Nice one James, you were carrying the pride of Britain on your shoulders and did us all proud
Nice one mate. I really appreciate that.
This video made me wanna go back to Whistler right now! Good job James!
It's Yuka!
This is awesome and very deserving ... Clearing it with his boss though is above and beyond. Love these feel-good videos, nice job to you and everyone involved!!
Damn bro, makes me so happy so see this man get to ride there! Way2go!😎💯🤘🏻
such an awesome video and gesture by everyone involved, so well filmed and narrated - thank you for this!
This is the content I’m living for at the moment, I could only imagine a trip like this!
The Loam Rover
I almost started crying - such a lovely thing and a fricking rad video!!!
I just got back to Canmore from Whis and this video got me stoked to go right back. One of your best storylines!
Good stuff, unbelievable how talented people can ride anywhere and not freak out on sending it deep!
Just got back from Whistler. Second time there. It's a must do trip for any mountain biker. Sick riding by James. I didn't clear most of the jumps on A-line (in any run). Can't wait to go back.
A-line looks so effortless on video until you get there and experience the fear factor. It takes balls to do what the guy in this video did.
God I can’t wait to go there!!!
This has to be the most stoke I have felt through the screen in a while . Well done !! Thanks for sharing👊🏻👊🏻
His hype was so fun to watch
That was wholesome overall! I just started riding a few months ago, but I've been giving it all I've got! Might try to plan a trip to Whistler next year when my skills have grown even stronger.
That’s just a world class gesture. You rock dude 🙌🙌
"The Land Ranger", obviously...p.s. Yoann Barelli spotting at 08:34
WOW. That is some serious skill. And great video coverage of it!
You should call the car the loam rover bc there is a car name the land ranger so it would be similar
I’m with that
Awesome! This really put whistler into a way better and different perspective!
AWESOME. Truly full of awe. Just killed it as a first run.
What a great story. Well done, lads!
I've got an 06 LR3. Amazing vehicle, will get you through anything. got 450K on the odometer. It's a heavy car, be prepared for yearly brake pads
What a great video and wicked surprise and just shows the person you are Ryan. Keep up the great videos and you should call the new ride the Loam Rover
the music placement and choice was really on point in this video, i know alot of thought goes into that when you are creating your videos just wanted to throw it out there that it was exceptional in this video
Awesome stuff Ryan, Whistler etc!
Awesome stuff that is super cool......also love the little Barelli drive by at 8.34 as well
LOVE this! @ And welcome to the LR4 family! I've got a 2013 and it's honestly an amazing vehicle. I'll throw down some tidbits not knowing anything about the history or knowledge of the car, so feel free to ignore lol
The air suspension is something you'll want to pay attention to, and then the bushings that go along with them. They're wear and tear items, but when they're done up right the system is amazing.
The wheels and tires debate/decision that you'll make if you want to off road/off trail it can go pretty deep. I've got the Compomotive 18s on mine and that was a huge help for tire selection as those 19s are hard to find good A/T tires for.
The oil changes are different because you don't get under the car for it, which is nice. They take like 8 quarts of oil for a change, so you'll have to make sure the
I saw you already have the hitch for it, just make sure you check if it's an OEM hitch or not, because it'll change the load rating the truck can handle. (yes truck, it's an H frame vehicle, I stand by it lol)
There's lots out there and the thing is beyond capable is so many different scenarios. Take care of it and it'll last you forever.
The shrieks of joy when riding A-line make me smile. Great vid, hope I get to Whistler one day.
This episode is AMAZING! Hype level: 100 ... I don't know James, but damn I'm stoked for him!
Man what a great video and incredible first experience for James! Dude has a great energy 🤠 hope my first experience is just as awesome, but with less of that day 2 intensity 😂
What's more impressing than hitting A Line for the first time is buying a 2012 land rover with out inspections and it not breaking down after 1200 miles is pure insanity
the thing i like the most about this video is just after 1:05 , when he realizes its ON and its FREE, but , here is the thing, what i love most is that he 'looks' back into the house to at least briefly imaging how his significant other would support him, BEFORE he jumps in up to his ass in alligators !! Much Love. D. (p.s. show YOUR PARTNER this response, i think she'll understand me)
This is such an astute and thoughtful comment. My partner is so supportive of what I do and she helped make it all happen by contacting my boss to make sure I could have the time off. I'm a very lucky man that's for sure. I hope you have a great weekend 😊
The stoke was so high the whole video! So awesome to watch
Landy should be named 'Money Pit' because that's what it'll be. 🤣
I remember my first trip to Whistler. I had only been riding four months and hit A-Line on the first day. It's only because of Whistler's excellent trail building skills that I didn't kill myself. After a week at Whistler, I thought I was a natural. Yeah. That feeling didn't last very long!
James is a pretty solid rider.
Did this too on my first day of whistler, I had a blast, whis is dope
The Stoke level for James 200% 🔥
Sick video! Super jealous of the riding, I was there for the first time ever in June and broke my foot doing a wheelie, had to get repatriated back to the UK. Can't wait to get back out there
James needs his own youtube channel, such a likeable dude, and can ride!!
Lovely comment. Thanks mate.
Very good. Nice that sometimes good things happen to good people.
This was wholesome to watch 🙌🏼
Damn that moon booter edit was 👌. Wasn’t expecting that kinda suspense 😁
i'm still a new-ish rider, but i can't wait to build my way up to going to whistler. this video sold it for me!
How sick is that You guys out here making dreams come true 💪🏾💯 Great job everyone and amazing riding 💪🏾🤙🏾 absolutely sent it 🔥and on your first time that's insane!!!!🤯
this was great. good job mate
The best...love all of this!
The name of the new whip should be SILVER. or "HI -YO SILVER" or some derivative of this. That's the Loan Ranger's Horses name isn't it? Good lad for treating your friend. We need more people in this world like y'all. Love from Florida.
Such a great video!
Love this content soooo much!!!
The loam rover is the perfect name for the new steed
Great video!
Nice! Whistler rocks!
Yes it does!
Lovely video!
Ah man, that is soo great to see this! The whole story behind this video is epic :) I'm not gonna lie that I always wanted to visit Whistler, but being from Poland and running my own bike shop are two major issues stoping me from doing that 😆
book the trip man go for it
Wow, I had a smile on my face the entire video, OMG sooooo nice :)
Came for the mountain biking and you got me at the Land Rover disco 4.
The LOAM ROAMER !! Great Grips on the new RIDE 🍻
Awesome vid dude!!!! Greetings from Mexico City!!
Awesome, awesome, awesome...love it!
Real cool man! Love this. The moonbooter he hit..wild
Surely you need to call the new car The Loam Rover, it’s perfect.
Dude's got some trucks tattooed! Very cool. Also, the loam range rover?
@hunter you are a unit🔥
James's attitude is infectious. I'm thinking he named your land cruiser for you. The land cruiser should be the SOW Shredder On Won, play on words for one and James was a shredder. I'd name the land cruiser SOW, also ship of wonder if you need a more polite meaning.
as much as I enkoy all mtb videos im really surprised at the amount of riders who dont wear gloves even basic ones in the event of a fall your hands are instinctively gonna reach for the floor and at these speeds they are gonna be shredded
FWIW I usually dont wear them when riding my local trails because I'm in my comfort zone and like the direct connect of grip from my hands. However, I DO wear them when riding at high speed / higher risk situations like at bike parks.
Hey dude. I totally understand your worry about me not wearing gloves but honestly I feel like after years and years of crashes I've never hurt my hands. I tend to protect my body with my arms in fast crashes and my hands are always saved.
Wearing gloves makes me feel like I'm riding with someone else's hands and I feel more safe without them.
If you like them keep wearing them, one day they will save you, they just don't work for me.
Your videos are class
Nice Velocirax! I love my 7.
Honestly, if this were to happen to me, I would cry. My absolute biggest dream is to go to Whistler.
Go do it! I flew over from Europe to do a week of riding in Whistler and Squamish. I am ruined for the rest of time, it is that good.
@@frits8986 I'm planning on it long term, but I have to be able to clear A-line if I go, so I still have a LOT to learn.
I went to Whistler for the 1st time in years, and went bonkers on A-Line. That place is amazing.
Very cool !
the stoke is so good in this vid! It is now my dream to make it to Whistler. It just looks so damn fun
Amazing!
This is insane . Greeting from the Dutch
Sweet video
Awesome dude 🤩🤘🔥
Awesome!!!
Great vid
This is RAAAD!!!
No gloves, no elbow gear, MINIMAL gear and riding unfamiliar trails. Balls!!
👍🇨🇦
and james you deserved this more than anyone else
