Listen to her new album. Lots of potential country hits and she has that talent to outreach Miranda over time. At the same time, I've gotten kind of tired of Lambert's music (Tin Man, Vice, We Can Be Friends and Little Red Wagon aren't her best singles and they aren't that memorable to me). Carly's a breath of fresh air and instantly charming. Hopefully she can have the same run Sara Evans had or better.

When I was going through a divorce this song was incredibly powerful, almost 8 years later and very much happily married to my true best friend it has a different sound now. I just listen and think about how broken I was but I do it with a smile now. Time definitely healed me.

There is no "selling your soul to pop", there are people who have made it, and people who have not. Getting paid a decent amount of money to sing and produce music is making it, not selling ones soul.
It's sad when "making it" requires making compromises with the art that one truly desires to make. Of course, if one desires to do pop, then that's fine. But no artist should feel pressured to conform to the fickle trends of radio programmers, and that's my point. That's why "country" radio is so formulaic right now -- same lyrics, same beats, with only minor, superficial variations.

Man this song hits home for me. Was married for 17 yrs happily or at least I thought. In sept of 2020 I got diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and freaked out of course. During my chemotherapy treatments one July 2021 morning there was a knock on my door so I go answer it some guy standing there asking for my wife I’m like she is asleep who are u. Well long story short it was her side guy that she had been sleeping with for over a year. She left me to be with him walked out on me and our two daughters at the worst possible time. I’m sick with cancer and can’t work and doing this fight alone when the one person that should be by my side gave up and walked away. I just don’t know how this happen or why and can’t seem to rebound from it. I love her with all my heart and miss her terribly. I’m so lost right now but trying to concentrate on beating this cancer right now it’s just hard and it hurts

Love this woman's voice and music. Took far to long and nothing but regret and pain looking in the mirror and realizing your the problem and need to be better for the person you felt was the one since you met them. At the same time, I've gotten kind of tired of Lambert's music (Tin Man, Vice, We Can Be Friends and Little Red Wagon aren't her best singles and they aren't that memorable to me). I even had the nerve to not trust her.. lol. i accused her of cheating when i was the one only cheating In the relationship! what a fool I was. She finally found the courage to leave me. Year later I tried to get her back. Realizing I messed up, I did everything I could to win her over again. It was too late she "remembered every little thing".

There is no "selling your soul to pop", there are people who have made it, and people who have not. Getting paid a decent amount of money to sing and produce music is making it, not selling ones soul.
It's sad when "making it" requires making compromises with the art that one truly desires to make. Of course, if one desires to do pop, then that's fine. But no artist should feel pressured to conform to the fickle trends of radio programmers, and that's my point. That's why "country" radio is so formulaic right now -- same lyrics, same beats, with only minor, superficial variations.

Man this song hits home for me. Was married for 17 yrs happily or at least I thought. In sept of 2020 I got diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and freaked out of course. During my chemotherapy treatments one July 2021 morning there was a knock on my door so I go answer it some guy standing there asking for my wife I’m like she is asleep who are u. Well long story short it was her side guy that she had been sleeping with for over a year. She left me to be with him walked out on me and our two daughters at the worst possible time. I’m sick with cancer and can’t work and doing this fight alone when the one person that should be by my side gave up and walked away. I just don’t know how this happen or why and can’t seem to rebound from it. I love her with all my heart and miss her terribly. I’m so lost right now but trying to concentrate on beating this cancer right now it’s just hard and it hurts

Took far to long and nothing but regret and pain looking in the mirror and realizing your the problem and need to be better for the person you felt was the one since you met them. Tried so hard in so many ways and cared so much only to sabotage everything because you don't know how to handle certain situations or emotions is tough. Been almost a year and still a hard lesson to learn. This woman's music is amazing and has so much heart and meaning to it.
