Plus Rachel and her divorced parents and spoiled upbringing. I don't know why we never saw more of those and they instead only showed us Ross and Monica's normal upbringing.

The guy is a complete asshole and they gave them this "cute" storyline, fuck that.

If we lived in a world where Hollywood still had decent writers with creativity and imagination on their own(not a remake) they could probably be very successful in creating a flashback type show with Friends...a la Young Sheldon from TBBT, and create some awesome backstories for beloved characters that already exist.... possibly using old and new footage from the remaining cast. There's so much to already work with, it's just a matter of someone(s) making a cohesive storyline with it.
