It is not specified for Phatans but JATTs and Rajputs,and other communities also arrange Firing events, In Pakistan AK-47 is very common. It's the part of culture.

Mostly happen in sindhi and pathans functions but not commonly. Normally in Pakistani weddings that kind of stuff aren't common. People who are educated and sensible understand it's effects. I haven't yet seen that kind of horrible event in Punjabi functions.
