- Beehive In Old Shed Wall
Got a call from "JC" the homeowner about a beehive in his shed wall. Went out & had a look, located in Gentilly of New Orleans, Louisiana.
The interior wall was not the way to go on this as there was built in shelves, work benches, etc... against the wall, so opening up the exterior wall was the way to go.
One problem though: there was a pile of debris against the exterior wall, old wood, leaves, a bunch of crap & a chain link fence very close to the building!
JC was very accommodating & cleared the debris & cut out a section of the fence for proper access.
Normally with lapboard I stagger my cuts, just looks better when putting the wood back but there was a decent bit of rot & termite damage so JC said it was cool to cut the boards right on the studs.
The bees were pretty cooperative even with all the cutting & pulling of the boards away from their nest, that's always a big plus!
This was a win win all around, saved a nice colony of bees & was able to help out a good dude.
If you enjoy my videos please consider subscribing & tell ya friends & family, much appreciated!
Some nice frames there JP. Always gentle, always kind with the bees. They do so much good. Never kill them. Have them removed by an expert like JP. JC made the right decision.
I am absolutely petrified of bees and wasps, but watching your videos and seeing how much pride, workmenship and love for what you do it's amazing to watch, they don't seem as daunting to me anymore thankyou love all the videos thankyou
I love your love and respect for nature. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
You’re a good man J.P. for saving our bees. God bless your soul.

So awesome 👍👍👍🏻
In my 60 years...i have never experienced a wild beehive...
Only managed 2level bee boxes.
All the same enjoyable to watch the process for a few hours early in the a.m.
Brings back lots of memories....
I don’t claim to know bees-I don’t even know how I got here, but now I like to watch JPs videos. They’re so informative, well made and, i appreciate the skill and how JPthebeeman is respecting these amazing animals❤️
I got stung by a bee yesterday and from then on I've been watching bee hive removal 💀
very good, seeing you at work moves me because you remind me of my dad and my brother (who died) when they called them to do what you do 😔👍🏽
Oh how sweet.....what a wonderful memory. I’m happy for you...❤️
@@cbass2755 thank you so much❤
Where'd you go JP,I'm missing you and your friends Shawee and Yappy, but mostly you, the gentlest bee keeper in the world,a bees best friend.
Roberta Williamson I took a little break but more videos coming soon. Thanks for your support & patience! 😘👍🐝
Just simply amazes me how you almost never use any protective gear and handle the bees. Love to watch you work, and save all the bees instead of killing them. Thanks.
You are the best JP, there is a beehive in heaven with all the bees you have saved waiting to greet you and share their honey.
❤️
Still cannot believe how you do not get stung. And they are not all over you. Just amazing man... Good job. And Thanks for sharing.
knowledge and smoke + the right tools for the job... it happens sometimes but only 1 to 3 times if he does.
ROTTK9 sometimes smoke does nothing there is many factors like weather, temperament, time of day and how you work. I uploaded a cut out video today of the nastiest hive I’ve ever dealt with, no amount of smoke would help 😂
Bees fascinate me. All that hard work to make something that taste so yummy 🐝🐝🐝
Most of the homes in Louisiana have got termites.
Anytime the wood is next to ground your gonna have em.
Good job on bee removal.
Tim Hottinger actually it has a lot to do with sea level & winters. The further north you go & sea level increases there tends to be far less incidence of termites. Carpenter ants are more of a problem in say New York than termites will ever be.
JPthebeeman pretty bad in Australia they will eat you out of house and home
You made my day. I love watching you catch the bees. You have taught all of us so much about bees. Sweet lessons.
If you like this , watch also mine

Always enjoy your videos and how gentle you are with the bees
JP you are such a chill dude with bees. I admire your relaxed personality!
Pretty comb!
I find myself more and more watching these videos, I don't even have that much free time
Fooly K well, I really appreciate you taking the time & your feedback means a lot, good to see you here. ✌️👍🐝
Me too! And I’m passing them on!
Wow!! The last stripe you removed got the shape of the Cuban map.😄
Great video JP. Very informative. The termite information was really cool too. I was unaware that they made nests like that. I have only seen boards they have made tons of holes in them and it seemed like that was where they lived. Thank you.
Hello
Great timing! Thanks JP❣️
Excellent job JP. Love all your videos. Thank you for sharing.
Wow JP you’re amazing God bless you so professional!
I loved your true humanitarian efforts to remove these bees ! Fantastic and awesome job! I’m very impressed by the work you do wonderfully done video and very informative to those that have never seen this done.
Thank You for a enjoyable watch !
❤️🙏🤗
Between you and Texas Beeworks, my fix for rescuing bees is met. And the termite info was a bonus!
thanks JP for sharing the video have a great weekend
I just have to say that you have the best "Bee march" videos! I love the videos posted by Beekeepers, but JP has the absolute BEST marching shots! I can't get enough of them. It's like watching living evaporation in progress. Thanks JP!
Ummm, I also must say that you Beekeepers are probably the only people in the US who can say, "The girls are getting pissy.", without getting in deep trouble.
Lol man 👍🐝
Good job Jeff.
How are you Ted? Long time no see.
@@JPthebeeman Yeah It's been awhile I would love to see you .
Nice to see how fellow beekeepers in other countries are working. Greetings from the Netherlands
As always, it's awesome to watch you working, all the procedures made with a lot of care, thanks for share!
That cone looks beautiful. Pretty new.
Just plain great, your vids are fun to watch and I feel like I learn so much. I mean, the termite sidebar was unexpected but perfect. Thanks for saving so many bees! Great job JP!
You are absolutely the king of bee keepers and I do admire you so I also love the bees they are incredible gosh your so darn brave thank you for showing me the Queen I’ve never seen one so spectacular..
Honeycombs are so pretty!
Great video again! It always amazes me how the bees don't seem to mind you slicing up their hives and putting in a box! And you're the only one that never seems to need protection. Thanks again.
There’s an awesome woman, Texas Beeworks, that very seldom wears gear. She’s super smart and I think she outdoes Jake.
Save the bees! 🐝 Love bees!
Watching my favorite bee man over And over LOL lol HI j p
Very interesting. Thank you for sharing. Beautiful cone and be hive. You do an amazing job on explaining. Thank you
Another great video of a capture of a queen, Keep up the good videos
I find it amazing how you don't wear a bee protective suite and not get stung 😎👍
Kinda cool how the termites and bees were neighbors
That was a tidy job and the bees were worth having they seemed very calm.
i am the type to run off at the sight of a bumblebee but these bee videos are so interesting to watch. almost feels like exposure therapy lol
Love watching your videos and you do a great thing relocating the bees!
That's some beautiful comb JP.
AWESOME,JAHBLESS, SOULJAHZ
Wow... enjoy watching your videos
I really like his knowledge about other pests that hang out with the bees and his concern for the homeowners property. Many workers are not concerned. That looked like a carpenter bee hole they were using for access. I learned all about this with my mom's house. Carpenter bee makes a nice opening in the wood and bees and yellow jackets and every other insect moves in! Lesson, check out perimeter, eaves etc about once a month. And catch it early, prevention, prevention, prevention will save you so much!

The spinning frame with the light and dark comb was beautiful.
Nice video, JP, thanks as always. :) Our bees are hunkering down for winter here now in the UK, so roll on spring...
Your braze respect from Jamaica 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
longest flat bar I have ever seen, enjoy watching you work
Wow, I've never seen termites like that before. Nice job JP
Another great video and another batch of bees saved . Thank you JP .
ONE MILLION VIEWS , THE BEST DARN GUY J P THE BEE MAN
Great extraction using Colorado Bee Vac ,Thanks for sharing.
MARVELOUS ! Yes, That Shed looks big, and a Treasure to have - even without the Bees. : ) COOL Bee Vac containerizing!
Thanks for Terminate view ~ Interesting . . _as i look over shoulder wondering if i just haven't discovered them here yet._ Cheers!
This is why I was up at 4am, so l dont miss this video lol. God bless you for saving this colony ♡ would love to see an after of what you do with the bees once you leave the clients house. I know that's a lot of taping but I'm sure I'm not the only fan that would watch an hour long video from you. 🐝
I certainly would like to see how the bees repaired the cut-out comb. Thanks JB
@@zalmaflash that would definitely be an awesome update video as well!
fully agree with you there, really happy he saved the bees even tho they are what pays him in free honey.. xDalso love to love to see them rebuild the hive in the racks too.. xD
We’ll always bee 🐝 there J.P.
Love honey bees and this man makes it look so simple.we have the big yellow and black bumble be in my flowers all summer they are beautiful.thank you for the lovely videos.
You need to post some more videos, partnah! Like hive upkeep, maintenance, and of course bee removal! From Chalmette LA
Good one JP.
J P get you a gallon zip bag ,mix clay sand water mix well and make a caulk out of it you can use it to close cracks /openings were bees can go when through just pull it out or leave free and cheap . great show thanks
Thank you!
Thanks for the video man love your work keep it up
Oohlalaaa!... Mama Mia!... Hope you still know them JP.Ask your parents.
A man with BIG BALLS. U brave
So professionally done excellent credit due 🐝🐝🐝🐝
Just love watching your videos JP up here in Canada. You make me think of Idgie from Fried Green Tomatoes movie how she's so calm around bees that they called her the bee charmer. I would call you the bee whisperer.
Excellent video brother!! Very nicely edited!! From start to finish. And go figure that you'd find that tiger stripe at the very end (of course you would, LOL). This was highly entertaining. Thanks for putting in the work! Keep 'em coming! 🐝🐝🐝☮️☯️
Bee boss man! Great video as always!
Do not know what you are doing up at this time of the morning posting vedios but I love it!!
This was the most interesting thing I’ve seen today. Great video. I was dumbfounded at first that you weren’t using a bee suit. But it seemed like the bees 🐝 really didn’t mind.
JP, you and Randy (the dirt rooster) always prove, slow and steady wins the race...
If the building was termite treated can you save the honey? I see you gave some to the homeowner. The girls seem fine!
Here in SW Florida we are an insect paradise as well. At least my bees (My swarm that moved in 6 weeks ago) are doing fantastic. Well you got all the pretty girls there but your still missing the pretty ladies. Your slacking JP. 😀😀😀
Very nice clean educational 🐝 removal video . Thanks JP for another enjoyable watch.
Morning have a fantastic night day
I think ive been binge watching too many of your videos JP, I had a dream last night that I found a beehive and was eating honey off the comb HAH.
Awsome,,,good job bee man..
I'm surprised that shed wasn't in worse shape as big as that carton was.
@onelove A big one.
628DirtRooster Bees there may be more than what meets the eye, we did just open up that one area ya know. Who knows what else is going on in other areas of this building? 😬
I've done cutouts on homes where I had to tell the homeowner something like, "your house is like Swiss cheese from termites". To demonstrate pick a board, any board, and let's pull it off and see. How about this piece of door trim? So I pop it off and holy shit everything is bad. Entire house. There are entire neighborhoods like that.
@@mikeries8549 Like a card trick. Pick a board...
Can I give you a suggestion? It seems that you have the same tools consistently. Make a sharpie mark on your knife. Instead of grabbing a frame, use the sharpie. I'll bet your back will thank you and me. Keep up the bee marches and thanks for the videos!!
Use the sharpie mark on the knife, sorry.
Phew, brother i could pick that accent a mile away! Hello from st Bernard
Very good save bees
Each of his videos should have a “sting count”. Lol
Bill Bullerwell food for thought, maybe a visual counter 😉
🤣🤣🤣
Great video JP
Cool video. I always wonder when I see guys like this if they wear any kind of but spray or something so they do not get stung. I know if I were operating saws and pry bars around a hive they would sure come after me.
wow learned something else be sides bees I dont know much about termites that nest was amazing to see thanks, we dont have termites here in central Ny, love to learn things thanks take care hugs
Y’all have more incidence of carpenter ants than termites & oh, yeah, y’all have rats! 😉✌️🐝
Nice! I'm in Southeast Louisiana as well! :D
Nice job JP, like, like, like........
wow, awesome video
Man you are incredible, l like your job, l thing bing like you in a future
I like your job, it's very funny to me see all your video.
FYI JP. start at the top with that siding it will come off easier.
Can’t really start at the top. When bees build in a vertically oriented space they almost always begin building at the top of the void so you work from the bottom going up. But...
The main reason you start below is if a good bit of the comb is attached to the lap board at the top & you pull it away you’re in for quite a big mess & a bunch of aggravated bees.
I’ve done this a few times before, trust me on that. 😉
@@JPthebeeman I understand thanks.
Good job guy
Great Video Man. Keep them comming.
You are a an amazing man. You handle it well
Good Omigo 😃👍
It's amazing how you can just shake a whole bunch of bees off a thing.
I bought the Sam thing! 😂😂😂
You are the beest, man👌
Aren't you afraid Termites will falldown in the box?
15:27 - I now suggest all beekeepers start calling them a cluster of bees, but a jello-of-bees!
The bees will take care of any termites in there nest, likely the reason that termite nest next to them was so abandoned.
