I mean it would be an interesting dynamic having Cartman's mom in the episode beca bad influence on Marvin but considering the behaviour is contained solely in that one scene and Marvin doesn't change, I think the point of the scene was only to show that Marvin had completely taken the place of Cartman and making him repeat Cartman's lines was just an artistic way to strengthen that point. It's not like the case where in the episode with the Nannies Cartman's mom is part of the problem. I think that idea was fleshed out more later on in the show. Matt and Trey said the idea came to them after witnessing so many parents treat their kids like friends instead of being the parent and the result was always a spoiled child.

You hit the nail on the head about Cartman’s mom. Her parenting is the biggest enabler for Cartman to end up the way he is, and in time, just about any child being spoiled that much would end up similar to him

South Park is the most cynical immature satire in the beginning. Still has more emotional depth than of late, but I stopped watching the newer stuff. I dunno, it's just more restrained like they care about offensive when they might've been kinda dumb at times, at least they said what they thought about the sad truth about society to help us all cope with the reality and maybe widely address serious issues as cultural symbology, albeit stereotype HEAVY(and I'm not offended about it, it's just a bit much at times especially in the beginning but it's still funny but when everyone is that stereotypically intense, it took awhile for the characters to establish some nuance, but the ridiculousness can be funny. You can tell they add more depth eventually even though it was still humorous overall. South Park is. a mixed bag some seasons, but that's the beauty of it too, something for everyone yet anyone can watch it and maybe get introduced to a different perspective or topic..
