  • How to make the yummiest soft and fluffy cheesy Ensaymada.
    Here's what you'll need:
    1 large egg
    1 cup warm milk (250ml)
    1/4 cup sugar (50g)
    1 tsp salt (5g)
    3 and 1/4 cup all purpose flour (406g)
    2 and 1/4 tsp instant yeast (7g)
    1/3 cup unsalted butter (70g)
    Buttercream topping:
    1/3 cup softened butter (70g)
    1/3 cup icing sugar (50g)
    Grated cheddar cheese for toppings
    SPANISH:
    Esto es lo que necesitará:
    1 huevo grande
    1 taza de leche tibia (250 ml)
    1/4 taza de azúcar (50 g)
    1 cucharadita de sal (5 g)
    3 y 1/4 taza de harina para todo uso (406 g)
    2 y 1/4 cucharaditas de levadura instantánea (7 g)
    1/3 taza de mantequilla sin sal (70 g)
    Aderezo de crema de mantequilla:
    1/3 taza de mantequilla blanda (70 g)
    1/3 taza de azúcar glas (50 g)
    Queso cheddar rallado para aderezos

      @@pearlaqua5479 we dont put it in fridge, after baking we cool it and then placed then to an air tight tupperware, para hindi po tumigas. 2-3days sobrang lambot pa nya 🙂

    Ask ko lang po. Ok lang po ba gawin na yung ensaymada sa gabi kahit the following day pa yung delivery. Yung softness and lasa po ba di kaya magbabago. Thanks po.

    This is an ensaymada using only one egg? I don’t think it will be rich since almost all brioche recipe calls for a lot of eggs at least 8-10.

      Make sure your yeast is fresh, and proof (rest) your dough in a warm place where it's not going to get lots of air blowing on it.
      If you have a light in your oven, turn it on and place your dough in there. If you don't have a light, place a pot or metal container with really hot water in there with your dough to rest.
      The secret to a good rise is TIME. Its time, not the recipe's time. If your dough has not risen as much when the hour is done, give it another 15 minutes, and another, until your dough has doubled in size. It doesn't matter what the recipe says, your dough is like your child, it won't behave exactly like someone else's.
      Keep trying, and happy baking!
