Flip Through - Four Little Golden Book Junk Journals - Altered LGB Junk Journals W/ The Golden Spine

- Hi and Welcome! I am Lily and in today's video I am going to do a flip through of Four Little Golden Book junk journals / LGB Altered books. The special feature about these LGB junk journals is the Golden Spine which I have left in place and without removing it or cutting it out.
Each Junk Journal has two signatures totaling approximately 80 pages front and back. The Journals measure approximately 8"x6" and a spine ranging from 1" to 1 1/4" depending on the book.

I made my first junk journal. Mine was specifically designed to lift up my friend who was struggling. I tried to over embellish so there were many things to discover , and uplifting things to read. I also added a few spots for notes throughout. It was so therapeutic for me! I have decided that I want to keep making them, but to give them away to people that could use some encouragement in their life. I plan to make a few for myself to keep. Your journals are amazing!

Of all the Golden books I have seen I love yours the best because the pages are not bent or folded and left whole.

Thank you Janice, I appreciate your nice comments. I wanted to make sure I preserved as much of the book in it's original form as possible. The book pages were trimmed just a little bit on the right hand side to fit the cover.

Oh my gosh… OH MY GOSH!!! Love love love! They are all wonderful. I just can’t choose one from another. When I made the one for my stepson I didn’t think of keeping the gold trim but I actually did cover it with fabric.

Thank you. The scalloped gold trim purchased several years ago at Michael's in a bundle with other trims. I've been on the lookout for more ever since. It's my absolute favorite and I'm out of it.

@@ladonnaloehrke2957 Oh yes, I see. Those are stickers from Hobby Lobby. It is a long sticker sheet with rows/strips of hearts in different sizes and colors. The gold row of hearts is my favorite. I cut small sections of the strips to use bits of it throughout the journal. Hope this helps.
