4:12 "One of the biggest mistakes is students focusing way too much on content review and not enough on doing the practice tests." Oof, this hits hard 😅 My MCAT is in a couple weeks and I haven't taken any practice tests... Time to hustle 😅
My 2015 Kaplan books so far have been the exact same as the newer ones. Same graphs, same questions, etc. you will be wasting your money on buying the new ones imo.
@@Mediacriti Oh I was talking about the 2nd edition, which were sold by Kaplan from 2015-2017 until the 3rd edition came out in 2017. The 2nd edition is missing A LOT of content.
@@Agtsmirnoff It's not too surprising to me that the 2015 edition would be missing some stuff. A lot has changed since then! But, I do think it's okay to buy an older edition - just maybe not the second edition (or anything older than that) as you said.
Is getting a nursing degree from a state or community college frowned upon? I want to go to nursing school at my local state college, but I'm worried that it will decrease my chances of getting accepted.
@@Agtsmirnoff frowned upon by medical schools. I want to do nursing before med school, but I don't know if I would be better off doing nursing at a university versus a community or state college.
@@Agtsmirnoff you have to have a Bachelors Degree to go to medical school where I live. A 4 year nursing degree would cost me 14K versus going to a university and paying around 40K to major in biology. And if I don't get accepted the first year that I apply to medical school, then I can work as a nurse until I get accepted.
breana santos I am in the same boat. I’m in nursing school now (at a 4 year for a BSN) but am hoping to apply to med school after. Nursing doesn’t have all the pre reqs for most med schools though, so I’m planning to take the NCLEX, work as a nurse, take my additional prerequisites for med school.

How did you do?

My Kaplan books are the same, too, with some small changes that aren't significant at all - at least not that I've noticed.
That’s simply not true. The 2015 Kap books are missing a lot of content, especially in the psychology/sociology book
@@Agtsmirnoff Mine are 4th edition so I can't speak on the 2015 edition, but comparing to my study buddy's new set, they're practically identical.

I had both the 2015 and 2017 Kaplan books, the 2015 edition (for the new exam) was missing a lot of content, especially in the pysch/soc sections.

Why would you waste so much money and time to get a nursing a nursing degree only to go back to school to get a medical degree?
