I usually start with mixing red and yellow to make an orange. Than gradually add more and more blue. The color changes from burnt sienna to burnt umber then finally more neutral black.
I find permanent alizarin crimson ,phthalo green blue shade pg7,makes a good black, booth colours a staining colours and transparent create a very dark black,it blocks out the white of the surface .
i've found with low quality acrylics that the ultramarine blue behaves like its got white in it! I always make my oil painting 'black' with Ultramarine and alizarin.
im out of black though thanks to you i have black color now 😀😀
Great videos , was really helpful tonight as my usual blacks ran out of stock !
