I loved this show! It was even more epic, as it was on a free festival with acts like Kraantje Pappie (some dutch 'hip-hop'-act and actually played right before Electric Wizard), Kensington (dutch indierock band) and the likes. 50 stoners were surrounded by 100 kids aged between 10 and 14 and their accompanying parents, not knowing what the fuck was happening to them. Thank you for this upload!
This music really brings back the Black Sabbath 70's era like now other, except heavier. Fucking love this band. I actually discovered the band because someone used Black Mass in the background of their video as they played Path of Exile game. Rock on!
It will get more popular as more people discover these bands as I have - through the Internet. Once I gave an honest listen to Black Sabbath (particularly 'Children of the Grave'), I sought out other Doom bands on the web and Electric Wizard was highly recommended. They're still one of my all-time favorite bands to this day. I wish they could tour the U.S. more often. I worship them!
I listen, I see there instruments profoundly disturbed of the vibrations that they had not created. A human in there 5th dimension could not produce such a beautiful sound.

question : what ''credit'' does this style ''deserve'' ? I own all of Wizard's albums, as I'm sure you do. And I've paid to see them live plenty. They sell out smaller venues all over the world and headline festivals. What credit are they not getting ? Billboard ?
it's actually slowly slightly creeping into the mainstream, I recall The Sword had a full song in a scene in Jenifer's Body, and there was a doomesque song in The Place Behind the Pines when he's riding in the woods. I've even noticed hardcore bands releasing doom e.p.s...and now there's a shit load of doom duos, hopefully it doesn't get poppy, cause then just call it grunge.
it's the sound that makes this band, black masses is a flashback to the 80's fuckin cool master of reality doom sound with cheap King Diamond type vocals combined made the cd a real score..best stuff to come out in years! to bad that ep out now wasn't a full lenth cd instead of lousy 2 song record, stupid mistake on the bands part
actually gaga is one of the last creative heads in pop business....besides madonna and gaga there are only talent and creativity free dolls. I don't like their music either but I respect what they do. Both of them can play multiple instruments, are amazing singers and obviously somehow talented songwriters.
if bands like these become meagerly popular than it will lose the soul and heart of it and just be another generic sounding genre like metalcore and deathcore
but this genre is greater if its underground. I mean, there's no such thing as "mainstream stoner/doom". FUCK ! It sounds like horse shit. It's great the way it is, underground and not for the masses. It doesn't need to deserve a credit. It already has it.

Doom may not be mainstream but all my neighbors listen to it, hopefully they like it.
