    I'm not sure its such a massive deal Van Nistelrooy turning down a management job to become Utds assistant in a historical context.
    McClaren was a manager in the Pren, he won a league title in the Netherlands & was England manager. Walter Smith was the assistant after years of success at Rangers & managing Everton. Carlos Queiroz came back after managing Real Madrid.
    Ruud has only 1 year as a 1st team manager under his belt.
