I'm in disbelief that some people actually think this is bad...this is a VERY difficult song. She has a beautiful voice. Both versions are spectacular. I'd like to see you try and sing this song. I sure the hell couldn't.

It is bad, it really is, no soul & heart in it at all, Kate Bush was mesmerising & unique singing this, these covers are really pale imitations.
On Kate Bush's 61st Birthday, this is still one of the most beautiful songs ever written. I'm very glad the next generations continue to sing this song. Well done!

It's not possible ,I sing this & all the Kate Bush's 1st & 2nd albums at age of 54 & almost all of them w/ 90 to 95% full voice !!! But, this one is very difficult amongth all very difficult ones of hers ,even Kate sounded a bit creepy whenever she sung this song herself back then ! It's a haunting love story if anyone has read the original book ,or the black/ white movies ! She did good ( did 't go off or anything ) ,but her voice doesn't marry this aong well .

Amazing cover, I also never though that no one could ever cover this song due to it's complex vocal nature. To do this live in this manner I truly take my hat off to her performance.

Well Im a huge Kate Bush fan from back in the day and I thought that was fantastic. A very tough song to do justice and I think she nailed it. Bravo!

No one other has n't really even dared to sing this, and that tells something. But there is always a littele nyances in art when you compare someones own creation and presentation to any other ever.

Hayley came pretty close in range. It still amazes me how Kate Bush sang this song. One of the most difficult songs ever written for a woman’s range. Just amazing. Kate Bush is Queen, but Hayley gave her all and that is a stamp in time. Cherish your moments in time, people.
I don't know what people said about this cover, and I'm a little late for this party, as it would seem. But honestly, as a huge, HUGE Kate Bush fan, who is absolutely in love with her voice and music sensibility, and also as a trained, experienced musician, I must say this girl kicked ass with this cover! Possibly not many folks understand how hard it is to sing this one mostly with "head-voice", and the height alone is a killer, the intonation, everything about this song is virtuoso-level. Never heard a better cover, though what Kate did with her song is still my top 1.

I love both Kate Bush and Hayley Westenra's performance of Wuthering Heights. I have always found something magical and mesmerising about this song with its melody and lyrics.
Mesmerising is the word & it's Kate Bush that makes it mesmerising.

Kate's version is one of the most memorable songs from my childhood and simply can't be replaced. I've heard a lot of different versions since and this is, without doubt, the closest and best of all of them, truly beautiful. I find Hayley's rendition equally haunting.

I'll admit my first time seeing Kate sing it in the video I was kinda confused that it was a hit. This woman sings it very well and I can appreciate the song itself more, but I do miss the dancing bit now that I've learned more about Kate via BBC documentary. I'd only ever heard Running up that hill before tonight.
This is the first time I hear this version, and it sounds good to me. Her voice is beautiful and she did a good job. And no, she wasn't imitating Kate. Stop being so rude, people.

This is amazing! I originally knew the Pat Benatar version and fell in love with it. Only years later did I hear the Kate Bush version. At first I didn't like it, but it grew on me and I couldn't get enough of it. And now I am first hearing the version Hayley. I love her version, too. I think she gave great honor to Kate Bush in the way she sang it. It's just a beautiful song!
I almost never prefer a cover over the original. This performance is a clear exception. There truly is no substitute for a trained voice.
Everyone's a critic...that said, i'm a believer in Hayley and appreciate her blessed voice and excellent production team who support her. I absolutely love the music and bought 5 albums to prove it. Opinions are never wrong, they're just opinions...and I give Hayley 5 out of 5 stars on this song...Outstanding through and through.
This is one of a very few songs I knew would be number one on first hearing, and I will never forget the moment. Hayley took me straight back to the first time Kate Bush unleashed it on the world. Anybody who thinks that's a bad thing is not on my wavelength, thankfully.
