We have been to both Amber Cove and Taino Bay. They both are good but I like Amber cove better for it’s walk ability👍🏻 Taino bay is closer to Puerto Plata though.
Yes you are correct but I believe they used it when the dock at Taino bay is full. As they did the day we were there. Not sure what you consider a “VERY long time” but we were there with NCL just last year. We’ve also been to Taino bay. You can checkout our video of that here. Escape hasn’t been to Amber Cove in a VERY long time. It’s a Carnival port that NCL paid to use when they couldn’t use Taino Bay in Pueta Plata.
