Mike, I’m still riding the high from that day. Meeting the inspiration for my channel and one of my heroes, finding some amazing books, and judging chain bbq but being pleasantly surprised are all core memories now. Our community is lucky to have you representing it, and I’m thankful to call you my friend. Here’s to Terrificon and the shows/adventures beyond!

Great show, thanks for the cameo appearance Mike! Awesome meeting you and Brandon. This was one of the best comic con tables I had ever been to. He was a great guy, from my hometown too. I always went to check out that new store in Mass. You weren’t kidding, Rick the owner is a great guy. His dog Wrigley is my new favorite dog too.

Glad you enjoyed the show! I’m from Albany and go to this show twice a year. I’ve actually hit up quite a few stores on CT per your recommendations. I’m more of a toy collector but I definitely collect comics as well.

First book that I saw there that I thought was a deal was the DC Comics presents
So John owns the LCS I go to called Excellent adventures! I go to his shop all the time. It’s a great little shop in our area. So it was amazing to see you bought a book off of him! Good pick ups brother. Good to see you came to our neck of the woods! I didn’t go to this last show but I’m hoping to go to the next one. Maybe I will bump into you and Mon comics?

Altron is one of the toughest villains in the marvel universe. Josica was tuff also but sometimes she was bad and sometimes she was good. It's great to see you and Brandon 2 of my favorite youtubers together.

You scored some awesome deals! Ultron is my favorite Avengers Villain and it seems like his books get no love. It doesn’t bother me because I can get them for cheap, but it certainly doesn’t make sense.

I am crying right now for I used to have tables at the Albany cons, and about ten years back I broke my neck and back, crushed my lungs, and with occupational therapy and physical therapy
I can walk with a walker or cane and without oxygen for up to five hours. But I have no wheels, live in Schoharie Co.about 50 minutes out of Albany, literally in tears wishing I could be there!!!

Those were some very cool books and some of the others that were on the walls. Also look nice. I understand that you got in for free because you had tickets gifted to you, but you do not take into account the gas price or the wear and tear on your car getting in and out of New York. Oh, the tolls. Calculate all that into the cost of the books as well and see if you still think you did such a good job. One last thing calculate your time traveling back-and-forth.
I consider that the price to hang out with a friend.
"That's normal" that cracked me up, thanks Mike. Some terrific deals you had there. My fav, probably the Deadman, Fantastic cover, Adams is a god. His art on a crisp (chip) packet would be good.
All those books were good, you say reader copy, I would be very happy with that in my collection. All had nice bright colours.
Anyway I cannot waste any more here I'm Off to DOM comics!

I have always been more than a first appearance collector. There is way too much great art and stories out there to just concentrate on first appearances. But of course, buy what you like and you can't go wrong! Love your vids!

Nice work Mike! It was London comic mart here yesterday and I would definitely have bought that deadman for £20 if there was one. Did pick up a nicely presenting Neil Adams Batman 241 though. Again, great cover art and buy what makes you happy.

Oh nice pickups, i just got the same american newstand DC comics presents no. 26 the other month in about the same condition for about the same price (i paid 66 dollars for mine). It is the first big key issue in my collection and i could not be happier it fit right in with the small key i got about a week before which was the first appearance of blackfire.
That Superman/Green Lantern comic is a great score! A couple of questions… Have you ever been to any of the big comic cons like San Diego, C2E2, Fan Expo Boston?? If not, are any of them future destinations? Thanks for putting out great content. I love your videos.
I’ve been to FanExpo but I tend to shy away from cons like that because they are mostly pop culture instead of comic books. The biggest show I go to is Terrificon which is a fantastic large comic show
Amazing finds, and what a great show. That DC presents book IS quite the underrated book I absolutely agree!! There wouldn't by chance be another show happening soon up there? I'm actually going to be taking a roadtrip to Mass in the few days for about a week. Going to be well outta of my element but still on the look out for books in strange/unusual places along the way.
Depends when you are coming, there are a few shows in Connecticut this weekend, otherwise there are some in Mass on different weekends in July. Lots of great stores for you to drop into though

The bubble has burst! These vendors have way more stock they can’t continue to sell at so high a price, especially when cost of living for average Americans is skyrocketing and people have less and less disposable income. Just buying food for your family is getting too expensive. They’re now adjusting and lowering prices as expected. Prices got way too crazy way too fast.

What a fun show. I love these small cons, they are actually focused on comics and not celebrity appearances or Funko or replica swords.
Is there any list or site you use to stay on top of shows?
Mostly just IG and FB honestly. Lots of word of mouth

Thank you, though I find this to be a strange comment. Just because I haven’t filmed a CZcams video somewhere doesn’t mean I haven’t been there before. I’m one of the most well travelled people I know, I’ve seen most states in this country and been to dozens of other countries as well. I film mostly in New England because I live here and as a busy father I can’t really fly around the country just to make CZcams content. I wish I could!

I KNOW THAT GUY!!!! He sold a comic to me on Facebook. Mon Comics? He said his name was Freddy?! Not Brandon. He sold me an FF number 72 for 90 bucks but I returned it because he didnt disclose it has restorations! Well, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt maybe he doesnt know and he's just new to collecting. At first he begged me to keep it he said he ha a family medical emergency but I firmly said sorry, I dont buy restored copies. Then we met at a parking lot and he just took back the book so fast and threw the 0 bucks back at my car then left. Didnt even made eye contact. Guessing he had a hard time selling comics online to people that's why he switched to being a CZcamsr to earn extra income. Geez.

You forgot the final part of that sentence which is “for being a CZcamsr”. Yeah I get all sorts of stuff but it’s usually from either an actual friend or because I helped someone out outside of CZcams. What you and others don’t see is when I get offered free things from stores to mention them on the channel (or a thank you for doing so) and I decline or insist on paying for it. Happens all the time, I don’t feel comfortable with it. Do I get stuff for other reasons? Yeah, but not for that.
