After serving 26 years in Federal prison Big Durk/Abdul Haqq the father of Chicago’s own@LilDurk is here with @thechipodcast to do his very first in person interview.
Big Durk speaks about his time in prison, him becoming a Muslim, his relationship with his children and grand children.
He informs us about some of his views on the current rate of gun Violence in Chicago and ideas that he believes would help reduce the steadily growing body count.
This brother came home and has spent most of his time helping and assisting young brothers at risks of making Similar mistakes as he has.
He is a honorable, caring and compassionate man who stands on his belief in God and his family values.

The best part about being Muslim after tawheed of Allah is the way we deal with one another for example, Lil Durk will stay solid no matter what because his father keeps an eye on him and speaks to him about whatever Lil Durk is going through. As a Muslim you’ll address everything you’re emotionally aware of the people around you and their needs.
The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people. The most beloved deed to Allah is to make a Muslim happy, or remove one of his troubles, or forgive his debt, or feed his hunger. That I walk with a brother regarding a need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque in Medina for a month. Whoever swallows his anger, then Allah will conceal his faults. Whoever suppresses his rage, even though he could fulfill his anger if he wished, then Allah will secure his heart on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever walks with his brother regarding a need until he secures it for him, then Allah Almighty will make his footing firm across the bridge on the day when the footings are shaken.”
If this is the case about you doing it for another Muslim, a brother in faith then what’s the case with a father & son. Who share blood and faith.
