- Real Working SOLO Millenium Falcon Blast Door in My Office
With Over-the-Top excitement for the "Solo: A Star Wars Story" movie and with a wink and a nod towards the original Star Wars Millennium Falcon, Myron Burnett (Out Past Curfew) converts Skyler Ostler's (The Cosplay Apprentice) basement office door into a fully functioning recreation of Solo’s cockpit door entrance.
This build is made out of a Pocket Door Kit, MDF, Lot's of LED Lights to really sell the whole Star Wars Millennium Falcon bit, and plenty of Random "Greeblies" aka kit-bashed and altered random items that make up the interesting pieces all around the door. If you are a fan of Han Solo and his Falcon, then you will love this build! Make sure to Subscribe to receive alerts when we come out with follow-up videos that go in depth behind the scenes of how we made the Star Wars Blast Door!
If you Love this build and you have an idea of something you are wanting to fanify in your home, office, or elsewhere. You can contact Myron Burnett for advice and quotes at myron@outpastcurfew.com

Beyond the joysticks, I was noticing stuff like the old capacitors, toilet flange, vacuum extension head, engine cover, etc.. all in all, fantastic use of parts and very creative. Could probably go to your local Habitat for Humanity ReStore to get many of these parts really cheap. Looking forward to the next video.
Nice catch on the Vacuum head! Funny story behind the old capacitors- I was driving home from work and saw them sticking out of a curbside trash can. I saw them and thought "GREEEEBLIEEES".... pulled over and went trash digging right in the middle of rush hour traffic. Shameless, I know. "For the Cos!"
Shut the front....sliding cockpit door! Dude this has completely inspired me!!!!!! FANTASTIC JOB!
Hahaha :) Thanks!!! It is pretty awesome to have that be the way I walk into my workshop! :) Thanks! :)
@@CosplayApprentice NO JOKE! I think my boys need this for their room!
Definitely, they would be the coolest kids on the block! My boys love coming in and piddling all the buttons and making it open and close :)
1:27 that’s a lightsaber toy
You got it!!!! :)
Thank you for posting this video 🎉. You have a new subscriber. Keep up the great work 🎉. I live here in Florida. I’m a retired 57 years old man. That has raised my kids on STAR ⭐️ WARS. why I’m I say all of this. To be very honest upfront. I have an empty tool shed. That I’m trying to turn. Into my own Space Station outpost. A Mandalorian outpost in a Galaxy far, far away.
Yay!! So glad you liked the video!! :). That sounds like a brilliant idea for the tool shed!!!!!!! Love it!! This is the way.
That is Freakin AWEOME!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! It was so fun! I can't believe it is really in my basement! :)
This is so cool. I am in the planning stages of making a full cockpit in my studio. wish I had the funds to make all you have and more, but I used to make props for a living in Hollywood and now that I'm retired I want to make a space video using all the tricks I learned. Love the sliding door and so much more. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
So jealous of your office/work space. Great job! Cant wait for the next video to come. Also waiting patiently for your next live stream.

Thanks!!! Happy to give tips, what are you wondering?
Hey, so, really enjoyed this video, went to check and three years later that "lifting the hood" video was never posted? I also checked for a channel for Myron Burnett/Out Past Curfew with no luck - helllllllp!! :) (The #1 thing I want to know, oddly enough, is how he made the steam coming out of the blast door.) Thanks!
This is fucking beautiful
Thanks!!!!!
Please share with Friends that would appreciate it too! :)
When is the follow up video coming?
Man I wish I had a Door like this that lead to my bedroom
The arcade joystick was a cool addition.
Thanks! That section is fun for the kids to play with too :)
I wish that was in my house....
I saw that you were coming to Salt Lake's Fan X in september
Sure am!!! :) I'm so excited!! :)
Holy fuck, that is the biggest flex I’ve ever seen, fucking great.
Hahaha, thanks!!! :)
Did you ever post the build video on this? I was looking but couldn't find it.
Hey, what brand/model of equipment did you use for the blast door?
Does anyone know how he did the steam fx when the door opens
We modified a Vape and used fog juice in it and used a solenoid to press the button on it :)
Where did get Light up switches
On Amazon :)
What is the closing force? what if it crushes something?
It's not a ton of closing force, we had it close down on our arms to test it out, but we also have a motion sensor built into it like an elevator door so that if it starts closing you just wave your hand in the door frame and it will open back up :)
@@CosplayApprentice I have another question, what's the door made out of?
@@CosplayApprentice thanks for the information!
how does the fingerprint scanner work?
We use an Arduino to run it. :). We ordered a scanner, connected it to the Arduino and got the code for it and programmed in our finger prints just like you would on a phone . :)
@@CosplayApprentice Thank You, Is the fingerprint wireless or does it connect to the door with a cable?
I'm already jelouse
I know!! I can't believe it is mine! It is sooooooo cooooool!!!!!!!! :)
i want wakanda shield
